Operator Melusi is still one of the hardest defenders to deal with despite the recent nerf on her unique gadget, the Banshee Sonic Defense. And that really means that she’s a very useful operator when you’re a defender. Yes, attackers can destroy her Banshees now by shooting them, but they still do a great job at slowing down enemies, and the moment that attackers spend trying to shoot them, are moments of opportunities for you and your teammates. And Melusi has a great set of weapon and attachment choices to capitalize on those moments.

5. MP5 with Red Dot, Suppressor, and Vertical Grip + RG15 with Muzzle Brake and Laser + Impact Grenade

Stealth will always be important to a hunter

With Melusi’s 3-speed and 1-armor rating, and the availability of impact grenades in her loadout choices, she can be an effective roamer. After placing her Banshees on strategic locations, preferably near the entrances of your objective area, you can play her as a roamer. And as a roamer, stealth is important. Wait until some attackers are caught in your Banshee’s encumbering effect, and strafe them from behind.

With the suppressor on your primary, your enemies won’t immediately know where your shots are coming from, because it hides the muzzle flash and prevents enemies from getting the directional threat indicator. You can also use it for shooting attacker drones or claymores without alerting enemies.

4. Super 90 + RG15 with Muzzle Brake and Laser + Bulletproof Camera

They’ll be like spiders caught in a web

In close range, shotguns have the superiority. They can deal heavy damage that can shave away opponents’ hp fast, if not one shot them. With this loadout, you can use the bulletproof camera to let you know when enemies are about to be trapped in your Banshee’s slow effect. And once they are, you can surprise them with the Super 90 shotgun which packs a big punch.

And with your RG15 equipped with a muzzle brake and laser, you won’t have a problem finishing your enemies off in case your Super 90 needs to reload.

3. MP5 with Red Dot, Flash Hider, and Vertical Grip + RG15 with Suppressor + Impact Grenades

Best recoil control, best accuracy.

This is a balanced loadout which you can effectively use for roaming as well. You can use your suppressed RG15 to shoot attacker drones or claymores when you’re roaming, and your impact grenades for quickly making escape holes or rotation holes for flanking. With the flash hider and vertical grip greatly reducing your vertical recoil, your shots will be compact and accurate, and that will compensate for the MP5’s low damage.

2. Super 90 with Laser + RG15 with Muzzle Brake and Laser + Impact Grenade

Encumbered opponents are perfect for shotguns

With this loadout and your Banshees, it’ll be very difficult for attackers to penetrate your objective area. You can use the Super 90 to make rotation holes during the prep phase, allowing you to reserve two impact grenades for quickly making another rotation hole to surprise your enemies or countering Osa. 

And with the laser tightening the hip fire pellet spread of your Super 90, your flick shots will even be deadlier. This loadout is highly versatile and will be hard to defeat in close range.

1. MP5 with Red Dot, Flash Hider, and Vertical Grip + RG15 with Muzzle Brake and Laser + Impact Grenade

Impact grenades are very versatile

With the addition of Osa in the game, the stocks of impact grenades skyrocketed, because it’s the most effective counter to her shield. It’s also an easy way to make rotation holes, or finish off a low hp enemy that is hiding on a corner. This loadout is a variant of #2 that is more for players who prefer a submachine gun over a shotgun. And while shotguns are very hard to defeat in close range, they’re tricky to use when the enemy is on medium to long range.

With the MP5’s recoil made lower by the flash hider and vertical grip, you’ll be able to strafe and get kills at any range.
