Glaz's pick rate have considerably dropped since the big nerf on his thermal scope, but the truth is, he's still a great pick even in ranked games as long as you know how to properly pace your shots and movements. His thermal scope greatly aids the player's reaction time by highlighting the enemies in a bright yellow hue and allows the player to pick them out of all the other details in the map. Here are the top five loadout attachment sets that can help maximize the effectiveness of Glaz's special gadget.

5. OTs-03 with Reflex B and Muzzle Brake + Gonne-6 + Smoke Grenade

A Castle armor panel blocking your sniping spot? No problem.

The reflex sight B is one of the original 1x sights of Glaz’s OTs-03 before Operation Demon Veil which made all 1x sights available to all guns. And to a lot of people, especially to those who have been using Glaz for a long time, this sight is still the best and what’s not broken doesn’t have to be fixed. This is a classic OTs-03 loadout with great recoil control and the reflex sight B provides a clear 1x front view so the player would still do well when it comes to close range encounters. 

The Gonne-6 hand cannon is a great secondary gadget for Glaz because it can destroy bulletproof gadgets like Maestro’s Evil Eye which is one of the best counters for a smoke + plant strat. It can also easily destroy Castle’s Armor Panels even from long distance, so this loadout guarantees that nothing will obstruct your sniping view.

4. OTs-03 with Red Dot A and Muzzle Brake + Gonne-6 + Frag Grenade

If they don't wanna come out. Make them.

This loadout is best with a coordinated team using voice comms and the others are carrying smoke grenades, because you’ll be carrying frag grenades instead. Now at first glance, it may look bad for Glaz to carry frag grenades instead of smoke ones, but frag grenades give Glaz a different kind of benefit. Frag grenades can force defenders out of their hiding spots, leaving them vulnerable to Glaz’s sniper fire. 

With this loadout, you can let your teammates play the role of throwing the smoke grenades, while you snipe enemies that would expose themselves to your thermal sight behind the smoke. You’ll also be carrying a Gonne-6 handgun, so the responsibility of destroying bulletproof enemy gadgets falls to you. This is a great loadout that provides high recoil, high damage, and great destructive capabilities.

3. OTs-03 with Red Dot A and Suppressor + Gonne-6 + Smoke Grenade

Your smoke + plant strat shall not be hindered by pesky bulletproof cameras

This loadout could easily be on the top of the list depending on the situation. It’s a combination of stealth and destruction, which is perfect backline support for a smoke plus plant strategy. The Gonne-6 hand cannon is great for countering Maestro’s Evil Eye which is one of the most troublesome special gadgets to deal with, because it can disrupt a smoke + plant strat due to it being able to see behind smoke grenades. 

With the suppressor, you can keep shooting enemies without giving them a read on where you’re shooting them from because it hides the directional threat indicator of your shots as well as the weapon’s muzzle flash. That’s why a suppressed OTs-03 with its thermal scope is the best weapon to use behind a smoke grenade.

2. OTs-03 with Red Dot A and Muzzle Brake + PMM with Suppressor + Smoke Grenade

Good old fashioned low recoil high damage loadout

Sometimes it’s better to go conventional. With this loadout, you’re going straight for firepower. Unsuppressed OTs-03, backed up with a suppressed PMM which can finish off your enemies when your marksman rifle needs to reload at close range, or shoot defender cameras or other gadgets in silence. 

Even without the Gonne-6, marksman rifles like the OTs-03 can destroy hatches, so going down through them wouldn’t be a problem. They also have enough destructive power to open up holes on unreinforced walls with just a few shots. So, with this loadout, you’re going for maximum damage and destruction.

1. OTs-03 with Red Dot A and Suppressor + PMM with Muzzle Brake + Smoke Grenade

Silent death from long range

Stealth is key when it comes to sniping. With the suppressor, your enemies won’t get a directional threat indicator telling them where you’re shooting them from, so you’ll be able to keep sniping them at long range with much less chance of them noticing you and counter firing, especially because it also hides the muzzle flash and effectively silences your gunshots when they’re further than thirty meters.

When it comes to Glaz’s role as a marksman, the suppressor provides benefits that far outweigh its damage reduction penalty. And when it comes to sights, the Red Dot A is the best at providing the player pinpoint accuracy while also not eating up a lot of screen space. And because you already have a suppressor attached to your rifle, you don’t have to attach it to your pistol as well. So with the PMM, you can use the muzzle brake and take advantage of its full damage when your rifle is reloading.
