Let’s talk about the people who love eating pasta more than their sons and daughters. Also, the Italians are a big family. So if you love playing the Italian faction you better make sure to take care of the other Italians in the sky. Because you are all family. 

Their aircraft have a unique design and a unique purpose. Most of their aircraft are similar to the German ones because they all were in the Axis powers. So Germany lent a hand to their ally. But the Italians quickly backstabbed their ally when they started losing. So if you save your Italian homie don't expect him to save you as well.

Tier 1

The best plane: Marcolin’s C.R.42 CN

This aircraft was painted full black by its pilot Luciano Marcolin during a night mission. It was supposed to serve as camouflage and it worked better than they expected. They also had white stripes on their wings so they could recognize whose plane it was. This was a fast aircraft during its time and it could go against the likes of the German planes.

The second best plane: B.R.20M M1

This long noodle was introduced in WW2 and it was used against the Balcans the most. But in-game, you’ll be using it against anyone that’s your opponent. Even if that opponent is your own country. Because nobody can stand a chance against you.

Tier 2

The best plane: Re.2001 CB

This airplane is great against fighter and bomber aircraft. It supports bulletproof glass so the pilot doesn’t die quickly. This aircraft can go great against ground objectives as well and it was great at dog fighting.

The second best plane: C.202D 

This fighter aircraft was best suited to fight other fighter planes as it did not carry any rockets or bombs. Taking down a heavy bomber with this was not suitable and you’d run out of ammo before the heavy bomber would go down.

Tier 3

The best plane: P108B serie 1

This heavy bomber has an even heavier load. Once the load is dropped the ground sends shockwaves. Sadly it doesn’t have any heavy defenses and it can easily be taken out if not protected. Thankfully the pilot and the gunners are protected with bulletproof glass and reinforced steel but the fuel tank and the load aren’t. If you see any smoking make sure to dive straight into the objective.

The second best plane: Re.2001 CN

If you loved using the Re.2001 CB in tier 2 you’ll love using this aircraft as this plane is its younger cousin. It’s an improved version and it excels in everything the previous plane did. The weapons were also upgraded and now support 2 x MG 151/20 (20 mm) cannons.

Tier 4

The best plane: P108B serie 2

If you loved the serie 1 bomber this is the last of its kind. It’s a great improvement over its predecessors. The platings were improved and reinforced and it even carries a heavier load. The older cousin did not support that much firepower but thankfully this younger version does.

The second best plane: Re.2005 serie 0

So you loved the 2001 airplane well this one is even better. These Italian aircraft just keep getting better, don’t they? It has a spectacular turning rate without knocking out its pilot. With even new and better weapons and the only weakness of the aircraft is the speed.

Tier 5

The best plane: CL-13 Mk.4 

One thing that this aircraft suffers from is gaining speed. The top speed is 1,093 km/h but to reach that speed will take a bit of time. Thankfully the pasta makers were efficient and reinforced their engine with crab shells so that it maintains its speed constantly.

The second best plane: G.91 R/1 

This is evolved airplane of the Re.2005 serie 0. Surprisingly there’s a lot of pizza found in this airplane as the Italians have left their history and fully embraced pasta and pizza. You do have weapons in this aircraft but most Italians will use hand signs to try to kill the enemy.

Tier 6

The best plane:G.91 YS

This plane has to be nicknamed “Chungus” because look how big it is. I have no idea how it’s even kept in the air because of its sheer size but it’s flying somehow. Thankfully it compensates for its size with its turbojets. It uses a lot of fuel. One tip I could give to the Italian engineers is to make the plane smaller and thinner and it will be alright.

The second best plane: F-104S 

Nicknamed “Starfighter” for some reason is a fighter aircraft. It evolved from the classical G.91 R/1 and it’s a complete redesign of the aircraft. If you loved using the previous ones this one might feel a bit off because nothing feels the same. It is a great aircraft to use.

Tier 7

The only plane in this tier…: F-104S.ASA Starfighter

This is where they fully moved their engineers onto pasta making instead of airplanes because they only have one aircraft in tier 7. You don’t have a lot of choices when it comes to this tier. Its design is based on the “Starfighter” because who cares about it originally anymore when you have 100 different pasta that all tastes the same?
