World of Tanks has recommended trying out the new ‘Top of the Tree’ turretless Tier X FV217 Badger tank for a strong December push.

On 6 December 2021 at 8:30 AM CET, World of Tanks released the following tweet, “A turretless warrior, the Tier X FV217 Badger packs a mighty 123 mm gun capable of inflicting 3,388 HP/min—the highest DPM in the game. Now you can get it easier than ever because it is the current Top of the Tree!”

With the ‘Top of the Tree,’ World of Tanks is referring to the top of the tech tree in World of Tanks. In other words, the Tier X FV217 Badger is top of the food chain when it comes to tanks and tank battles.

It is a tank that no one dares to mess with, unless of course, they also have a Badger, and they think they’re better at the game than you… The nerve!

The Tier X FV217 Badger does up to 630 hit points of damage with its OQF 123mm Mk.1 main gun. The main gun has a firing rate of 7.06 rounds per minute and it has an ammo capacity for a total of 60 tank rounds. It can survive 2100 hit points of damage with its 355 mm thick hull armor.

The Tier X FV217 Badger weighs 70 tons, and its 950 horsepower engine gives it a top speed of 30 km/h at maximum weight.

The heavy-hitting gun and thick front armor plates make this tank ideal for long-range sniping from the rear lines, as it lacks the speed and maneuverability for effective close-range combat.

World of Tanks is giving players a better chance to reach the top of the tech tree and acquire the Badger as part of their holiday special, as is stated in the following excerpt from their official news blog:

“Make your way up the Tech Tree from December 5 at 06:00 CET through January 5 at 06:00 CET (UTC+1) and take advantage of great discounts and missions all the way to the top. Don’t forget that you have 15 days to purchase an extra boost if you want to speed things up!”
