War Thunder Best Sweden Planes By Tier

Ah, the land-dwelling Vikings finally took to the air and they are raid to start raiding from the sky. The British Empire ain’t safe after all. They will take their beautiful women again and only leave the ugly ones. The Vikings did that.

When it comes to their aircraft they are great that’s the short version. If I were to tell you the long version it would take me a whole day. They were invested in their engineers and they gave a budget high enough to create their aircraft. I will be listing two aircraft in each tier so that’s 14 planes in total and with that let’s get this started.

Tier 1

The best plane: Iacobi’s J8A

This airplane was released at an awkward time when biplanes were getting out of fashion and monoplanes were the next best thing. Nonetheless, this airplane found itself useful with a legendary pilot named Iacobi. A true fearless Viking!

The second best plane: J11

The best aircraft in tier 1 and I love using this plane. It’s my favorite so far. The sound of the engine roaring through the sky makes you feel unstoppable until an AA shoots you down. It has 2 x 12.7 mm Akan m/40 machine guns. They can destroy an enemy airplane but sadly they have a slow rate of fire.

Tier 2

The best plane: J22-A

A direct evolvement of the J11 airplane. A biplane turned into a monoplane and it’s perfect. It has an upgraded engine and better control while in the air. It doesn’t sound as cool as the J11 but that’s the only downside thankfully.

The second best plane: B18A

Let’s bring some Viking nords to the battle with this airplane, shall we? This heavy bomber will rain snow with its bombs and nukes. There’s also a special engine in this airplane that’s liquid-cooled so if you’re one of the players who loves holding down W this is perfect for you.

Tier 3

The best plane: J21A-1

This is a unique design of an airplane and I love it. The Swedish know how to make an airplane work. This airplane outclassed everyone when it was released during its period and the dual Akan m/39A’s non-cannons would shred anything in its path. It’s also a fighter aircraft so it’s great at dog fighting.

The second best plane: B18B

If you loved flying the B18A you’ll love this one even more. There isn’t much to say about this one. It’s a heavy bomber and it’s an improved version of the previous heavy bomber. The looks of the plane are similar but that’s to be expected, but the real difference is in its weapons and engine.

Tier 4

The best plane: J26

This is quite an agile airplane and it’s most effective when chasing other aircraft. It can reach speeds of 710 km/h if you’re not strafing from side to side. It’s great at taking down other fighters and even striker aircraft but it suffers when you’re going against heavy bombers.

The second best plane: T18B (57)

Why would you upgrade perfection? This is what everyone should have done. If you made something work keep upgrading it. This is the heavy bomber that appeared on the list two times already. It’s way better than the previous two versions and if you loved using them you should go for this one.

Tier 5

The best plane: SAAB-105G

You can’t even recognize it anymore but yes this is the same heavy bomber that I talked about previously. It’s quite fast for a heavy bomber but that’s because it doesn’t have a lot of armor plating thankfully they spaced out the engines and fuel tanks so there’s less of a chance of them being hit.

The second best plane: A29B

Okay, let’s talk about this jet fighter. I love using it but I don’t love the look of it. The big nose and the ventilation shaft are just off for me. The aircraft is suited with bulletproof glass so nobody can take out the pilot with a random shot. This jet fighter also has 4 x 20 mm akan m/47C, chin-mounted cannons. That’s a chore to say.

Tier 6

The best plane: J32B Lansen

Now the Vikings are starting to resemble the modern aircraft of today. This jet is a subsonic interceptor that has an excellent climb rate and devastating firepower. It can also reach 12.5 km of altitude and it takes 34 seconds to turn. It’s also built for every single situation and works under any condition.

The second best plane: J35A

Vikings went to the moon and came back with this. What is this? It looks like a pancake but it works impeccably well on the field. Even though it’s completely flat it has a lot of armor protecting its pilot and fuel tanks, the other parts aren’t that well armored. It also carries 2 x 30 mm Akan m/55 cannons.

Tier 7

The best plane: JA37C

A jet fighter usually catches on fire and it will mean death most of the time. That’s because it doesn’t have any armor platings and the fuel is spread throughout the wings. That seems a bit stupid in my opinion but those snow brains know better.

The second best plane: AJ37

This jet fighter has an air-to-ground capability which is great in any objective mode. This aircraft entered service in 1971 and it’s still used today. Because it’s a great airplane. Even though it’s designed to do ground objectives mainly the pilot isn’t protected so most of the time if you’re not fast enough your little bearded white guy will be shot out.
