[Top 5] Dota 2 Best Timbersaw Builds That Win Games (7.32d)

The tinkering and tree-hating maniac is a dominant force in the current meta. Hate him or love him, there is no escaping Timbersaw in the new patch. His threatening spells are successful in ripping the foes (and trees) apart. He deals ungodly amounts of magical damage right from the get-go. You may avoid him in the early game, but a late-game Timbersaw is quite difficult to play around with. His spells slow, deal damage and cut through all enemies. The best part about him is that he is highly flexible, hence can be played in any of the three core roles, depending upon the matchup. Timbersaw is a highly resilient hero, meaning you can stand your ground and fight till the end, but not all builds help you do that.

To help you climb MMR with this mechanical genius, we bring you the Best 5 Timbersaw Builds that will help you win games. These builds contain the best skill allocation and the best items that help you in dominating your games with Timbersaw.

5. Sumail Build

King Sumail is by far, one of the best players in Dota. His highly clowny demeanor in-game is overshadowed by his strong and offensive playstyle. Timbersaw is one of his signatures, the hero is highly underrated but is a punishing force if in the right hands. Sumail builds a mixture of items that allow him to act both defensively and offensively, meaning there is a balance in his playstyle.

Sumail is a team player who often changes items and skill builds, depending on the matchup he is facing. The mix of the right offensive and defensive items make sure that there is no stone left unturned when it comes to winning a teamfight. This build has all the goodies, including items that help you sustain the early game, like Soul Ring, Arcane Boots, and late-game items like Aghanim’s Scepter, Sange, and Kaya. This is a highly suitable build for an offlane Timbersaw.

Use This Build If:

  • You want an extremely reliable build for the late game
  • You want to be involved in more skirmishes from the early game

4. Nine Build

The recent Ti Winner Nine is a mechanically skilled genius. As mentioned earlier, Timbersaw is a flexible hero. His potential to be played in any core position makes him a hot pick in the current meta. Nine excels well in the mid-lane due to his fight and tank potential on this hero. Timber is also known to fare well in pretty much all mid-matchups due to his survivability. He can also farm quickly and rotate to the other lanes when he gets his ultimate. It is difficult to stop an early game-farmed Nine, he just snowballs and runs over his enemies effortlessly.

Nine loves farming in the early game, his abilities deal AoE damage which further helps him farm faster. He often builds items that ensure he has enough mobility and sustains to withstand a teamfight early on. Hence, items such as Lotus Orb, Kaya and Sange, and Octarine Core are highly effective in the early stages of the game. As the game progresses, you can opt for Aghanim’s Scepter which offers incredible damage and fight potential. Timber can also build Shiva’s Guard, granting him armor in the late game. Overall, this build is ideal if you want to be a dominating force right from the laning phase.

3. Fbz Build

The utility build is primarily used if you are playing an offlane Timbersaw, and who better than Fbz when it comes to the offlane. This is more of a defensive build that helps you and your allies sustain in a teamfight. Beware, there are way too many buttons that you may have to click! This build is highly effective in the offlane as you can amplify the abilities of your allies in teamfights. This build also ensures that you are active right from the get-go allowing you to join fights and sustain yourself as early as you can.

It is quite rare that you see this build in action in your pub games, but this build is highly effective in professional matches where it all boils down to coordination and team fighting. The build includes items like Lotus Orb, Pipe of Insight, Crimson Guard, and Heaven’s Halberd. These items allow Fbz to protect himself and his allies and ensure they last long enough in a teamfight. Although this build won’t be as effective on an individual level, it may help you win the game as long as you press the right buttons.

2. ATF Build

Achieving major success at a young age is quite a rare feat in the Dota pro scene. ATF handles it well. He is an aggressive laner, extremely powerful right off the bat, and stays relevant even in the late game. Timbersaw is a highly reliable nuker due to the damage he deals with right from the get-go. This build offers high nuke damage potential which may decimate your enemies within no time. While this build deals with damage, it also offers decent tank potential at the same time. It is advised that you begin this build with either Reactive Armor or Timber Chain, depending on the heroes you face.

ATF builds various item builds that supplement his abilities and enhance his fight potential. On a nuker build, it is often advised to build items that lower your cooldowns, and increase your mana potential, while also building items that can sustain you in a fight. Kaya is an essential item on Timbersaw, which offers all the mentioned benefits. Ethereal Blade also offers immense damage burst potential, which can be used in tandem with all of Timber’s spells. When it comes to survivability, items such as Black King Bar, and Octarine can get the job done and secure the game for him.

1. Wisper Build

Wisper is undoubtedly one of the best stars to emerge from the South American region. His highly aggressive and skilled playstyle has turned haters into fans. Timbersaw is not the hero you see often played by him, but whenever he does, he manages to dominate the game and win all the fights. Wisper plays Timbersaw in the offlane, so naturally, his item build consists of items that allow him to teamfight and sustain himself in the lane.

Wisper starts with Whirling Death, which deals incredible stat-based damage, and if combined with the right laning partner, it may even net them a few kills in the early game. Wisper’s aggressive playstyle is supplemented by the items he builds, he does not opt for the typical utility offlane items, but rather he builds items such as Aghanim’s Scepter and Blink Dagger which increase his damage and allow him to become the initiator and aggressive force in a teamfight.
