Owning a bunker has become an essential part of the GTA Online component of GTA 5. Your character's identity as a prolific arms dealer begins with the acquisition of a bunker. 5. Lago Zancudo Bunker

The Lago Zancudo Bunker, with incredible views of the Pacific Ocean and easy access to the Great Ocean Highway.

The Lago Zancudo Bunker is a great choice, sitting just north of the Los Santos County and Blaine County county line. The Lago Zancudo Bunker has similar perks to the Chumash Bunker, with closer proximity to the city than other bunkers but still safely out of range of the higher traffic areas.

Lago Zancudo is not incredibly expensive. It is remote, which makes you safe from attackers. It has the added bonus of being near the airbase, which shields you from excess air traffic. It is relatively close to civilization and is more centrally located than other bunkers. 

Lago Zancudo Bunker is also located next to spacious coastal lands, which are good places to spawn your personal air vehicles. There are also free jets and helicopters that spawn next door at the fort. Keep in mind that they're not the easiest to steal because of the incredible security at the base.

• Right next to Fort Zancudo. Enemy aircraft generally avoid this area.
• Close proximity to beachfront sandy areas, spawning locations for aircraft.

4. Paleto Forest Bunker

The Paleto Bay Bunker, situated right next to the quaint town of Paleto Bay which is complete with all the conveniences of the city without the hassle of Los Santos.

The Paleto Forest sits just by the quaint town of Paleto Bay. Paleto Bay has all the things you'd expect from a small coastal town in Blaine County. It is away from the hustle and bustle of Los Santos. The Paleto Forest Bunker is conveniently blanketed with tall trees, so when your aircraft is descending towards your bunker, you'll be protected from incoming missiles from lock-on targeting systems as trees will obstruct their view. The biggest disadvantage is the long commute, as it is the furthest one from the city. It is one of the safest bunkers, being very far from Los Santos. The convenience of having access to plenty of services in Paleto Bay is a big plus. There are convenience stores, Ammu-Nation, a discount clothing store situated in the surrounding streets. There is a peyote plant that appears just a few steps away when available.
Overall, Paleto Forest Bunker is a great choice because of its privacy, security, scenery, and most of all, the low price. The Paleto Forest bunker is currently for sale for just $1,160,000.

• Blanketed by trees. Less of a chance of missile lock-on.
• Remote location. Fewer attackers in general.
• Close proximity to naturally spawning free helicopters.

3. Raton Canyon Bunker

Our next favorite is the Raton Canyon Bunker. It is competitively priced at $1,450,000. This is the second cheapest bunker available. This bunker is in an incredibly remote location. There are no towns and virtually zero population in this area. No one will be bothering you here. The worst you'll encounter is a wandering defenseless hiker. On the off chance that someone does spot you, they'll likely be far out of range and lose interest quickly.

The tall mountains around you shield you from opponents, cops, and other attackers. The sheer remoteness is another layer of protection. It’s one of the more perfect places to base your bunker operations. 

Why the Raton Canyon Bunker is great:

• It is low priced ($1,450,000).
• Totally private, desolate location. Lower possibility of an attack.
• Surprisingly central location on the map.

2. Chumash Bunker

Chumash Bunker, situated in one of the most expensive parts of town complete with beachfront property. The perfect place to keep your war vehicles.

If location is your main deciding factor, then the Chumash Bunker is the way to go. The Chumash Bunker is located in Chumash, which is just north of Banham Canyon. It has easy access to the Great Ocean Highway. It is a short drive from Dell Perro beach and the affluent Rockford Hills which is filled with plenty of expensive cars to choose from. Chumash is really great because it has 3 convenience stores all in the same area, a barbershop, a tattoo parlor, and a clothing store.

While this bunker is not as central as the Farmhouse bunker when it comes to being centrally located on the map, the Chumash Bunker is the absolute closest you'll get to Los Santos. This is ideal if you're using your war vehicles to destroy innocent players. 

The biggest complaint with this property is that it is so many people's favorite, so it leaves you open to attack with all the extra online player traffic. However, this was a bigger issue just after the Gunrunning update and you'll find that this is not as much of an issue today.

The value that the location brings this property far outweighs the disadvantages. Overall, this is just one of the best bunkers to have. All this can be yours for $1,650,000.

Why The Chumash Bunker is great:

• Not very expensive ($1,650,000).
• Closest to Los Santos.
• Close to Del Perro Beach, desirable real estate.
• Close to Rockford Hills, plenty of expensive cars to steal, with drivers that don't normally fight back.

1. Farmhouse Bunker

The Farmhouse Bunker. Positioned right next to the beautiful Farmhouse and immediately south of the beautiful Bolingbroke Penitentiary.

The Farmhouse Bunker is the most expensive bunker, so it obviously must be the best right? Let's just say that it is. The Farmhouse Bunker is situated closest to the center of the map, so you're automatically going to be taking shorter routes than everyone else. It is by far the biggest perk of this property. The Farmhouse bunker is located immediately south of the Bolingbroke
Penitentiary in the Grand Senora Desert.

This gets the #1 position because of its near-perfect location on the center of the map and a low chance of player encounters. This is basically the perfect mix of all three main factors, location, price, and proximity to other players. While it is the most expensive bunker, you get the added bonus of knowing that others may not be able to afford this. 

If you're traveling by car, then you'll be pleased to learn that this bunker is incredibly close to the Senora Freeway and the Los Santos Freeway which provide a great wide-open path to different areas of Los Santos as well as the northern parts of Blaine County.  These freeways are actually some of the best in the city that is made for high speeds for prolonged periods of time.

If you're spawning personal vehicle aircraft or Pegasus aircraft, the Farmhouse Bunker is situated very close to the Sandy Shores airfield and those aircraft are very likely to spawn there. The Sandy Shores airfield also regularly spawns 8 different kinds of free air vehicles, ranging from helicopters or planes. This is perfect for the budget-conscious bunker owner.

Why The Farmhouse Bunker is great:

• Closest to the center of the map.
• Privacy-focused. In the middle of the desert, a low traffic area.
• Close to the Sandy Shores Airfield. A great aircraft spawning location.
• Amazingly close access to freeways.
• Unobstructed air routes.
• Close to Vinewood Hills and Casino.
