[Top 10] GTA Online Best Muscle Cars for Racing

There are countless options that fall under the Muscle car category for GTA Online. Including only vehicles available at Southern San Andreas Autos, Warstock Cache & Carry, and Legendary Motorsport. Arena War ready vehicles are not included in this list because of their unmatched armor and inability to compete in the majority of racing game modes.

10. Imponte Duke O'Death

Choosng the Duke'O Death

YouTube link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wYNaTU9meL4

"It's not always clear whether your average uranium-eating survivalist is planning for the world to end, or planning to end it personally. And why not keep those options open with this special edition Dukes muscle car? Sure, it has the fuel consumption of an aircraft carrier in a headwind, but when the nukes start falling you and the cockroaches are going to have a blast." - Warstock Cache & Carry

Based on the late 60s Dodge Charger, the Imponte Duke O' Death has incredible armor and is nearly indestructible. In races, this is the ultimate ramming machine. Catch your competitors off guard as you smash their light, un-armored cars into buildings. Protective window armor plates reduce the risk of being shot or sniped in free mode. This limits your ability to use certain weapons, just as all window plated cars do.

This is the absolute best non arena war muscle vehicle in regards to defense and all-around value. Because of its defense capabilities, this car is ideal for anything that is done in free mode. It has the ability to take a few missiles without being destroyed. It is truly a bargain at $665,000, obtainable from Warstock Cache & Carry.

"Winner of multiple industry awards including 'Most Powerful in Class', 'Worst Handling' and 'Biggest Fireball', the Declasse Tampa brings the effortless cool of the 60s to a generation born decades too late. Time to gun the engine, stare directly into a moody sunset and live forever under a roadside grave in the middle of nowhere." - Southern San Andreas Super Autos

The Declasse Tampa is based halfway on the 64-73 Ford Mustang and partly on the 70-71 Dodge Dart. The Declasse Turbo resembles the Sabre GT in some ways and can be purchased from San Andreas Super Autos for $375,000.

7.  Vapid Ellie

YouTube link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYC0KYzPzSI

"Over-sized, oversexed, overpowered and under-steered, this is the car that joined cheap contraception and masturbatory guitar solos to form the unholy trinity of Baby Boom Americana. But before you reach for your vintage jacket and the sepia filter on your Snapmatic, be warned: this old dog has torn the limbs off braver hipsters than you..." - Southern San Andreas Super Autos

Like many of the other muscle cars, the Vapid Ellie is also based on a Ford Mustang with some elements taken from other cars The Vapid Ellie can be picked up at Southern San Andreas Super Autos for the not so low price of $565,000. This vehicle can be customized at Los Santos Customs.

A typical issue with many muscle cars, is that this car can spin out easily. This is no exception for the Ellie. A seasoned muscle car driver will compensate for this and will remain unphased by it.

5. Imponte Ruiner 2000

YouTube link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a7Sd7ehV47g

"It's better looking than you. It can fire machine guns and rocket launchers more accurately than you. It can jump higher than you and it's always got a parachute. Your mother prefers its company to yours. You know what they say: if you can't beat it, own it, and pray people don't notice that all your belongings are cooler than you are. Note, the production model of this vehicle has a reduced missile capacity." ―Warstock Cache & Carry

This is one of the more iconic muscle cars available. The Imponte Ruiner is quite clearly based on the Pontiac Trans Am and the Ruiner 2000 is based on the Trans Am from Knight Rider.

For those who have exploited the 2x and 3x RP and GTA cash riches gained from Rumble Overtime or Rumble Shootout, this car is simply a fan favorite. It sports a parachute that can be used from great heights in order to slow the vehicle's descent towards the earth and direct its path towards its destination.

The base model is offered at a very cheap $10,000 (or free if you steal it off the road) with no penalties or limitations on modifications, selling, insuring, or storing the vehicle. The Warstock Cache & Carry Imponte Ruiner 2000 model, comes complete with a parachute and missiles can be acquired at an insanely expensive price of $5,745,600. It is not a bargain by any stretch of the imagination, but for the flying missile and machine gun equipped vehicle connoisseur, price is no object.

On the road, this is a solid balanced vehicle with overall good performance in every area with a priceless engine sound. It is lightweight. It isn't too overpowered and has admirable braking capabilities.

4. Vapid Dominator GTX

YouTube link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_8i3Gjs-EiE

"Step one: take the best-looking muscle car the 60s ever saw, and introduce it to the greatest American super-car of the modern era. Step two: leave them alone in a quiet garage with a few dozen shots of high octane gas, plenty of axle grease and nothing else to do. Step three: the Dominator GTX is born, and it's hungry. When your pedigree is this damn good, there's nothing wrong with keeping it in the family." - Southern San Andreas Super Autos

The Vapid Dominator GTX is based on the Ford Mustang, can be acquired for $725,000 from Southern San Andreas Super Autos. The rear of the Dominator GTX oddly shares some of the same styling features as the Enus Paragon.

The Vapid Dominator has a "springiness" to it that is noticeable in many situations. This car has the ability to do a wheelie. The Dominator GTX car excels in styling. It is one of the only available muscle cars with modern styling.

3. Vapid Clique

YouTube link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FAgTOCqokrk

"In the 50's, the Vapid Clique was one thing an anxious parent didn't want to see pulling up outside the white picket fence on prom night. That haze of postwar confidence and unfiltered cigarette smoke meant only one thing - and you could be sure its intentions were not honorable. This lovingly reconstructed model brings modern power and modern reliability, without losing a single drop of the dog whistle bigotry that makes this car the classic it is." - Legendary Motorsport.

The Vapid Clique is a great looking car, very fast, and smaller than the other muscle car options. It shares some elements of 1950s Porsche and Volvo but is more closely related to and likely based on the Ford Custom Coupe.

It was originally offered as a gift during the 2018 holiday season and appeared on the Casino Lucky Wheel a year later. It is currently priced at $909,000. This is not cheap for some, so that is something to take into account.

It's driving style, smaller frame and curved features make this muscle car seem more like a sports car. Modify this car to gain significant improvements in traction and acceleration. A great car to use for competition in muscle car race events or for daily use.

This car feels great to drive at high speeds with its aerodynamic curves and short stature. It is an unforgettable experience.

2. Vapid Pisswasser Dominator

YouTube link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rfwuI-DWLdQ

"Baby boomer teen dream repackaged for the mass market generation. A muscle car without the muscle that's the rental vehicle of choice for tourists looking for a slice of "real" Americana. Get it with exclusive Pisswasser Livery." ―Southern San Andreas Super Autos

Yet another variation of the Dominator that makes the top ten list, this is the version that comes complete with the Pisswasser livery. So the fancy paint job makes it looks better, so it obviously makes it faster. This car was offered for free for returning players that made the shift from the previous console version and is offered $315,000 at Southern San Andreas Super Autos. It is quite obviously based on the Ford Mustang. Let’s face it. $315,000 is a steal for such an automobile.

This car has a decreased weight compared to its base model, the Dominator. This might help you or hurt you depending on the way you're using it. This car is best for races and is great for daily use because of its quickness and excellent torque.

1 Bravado Gauntlet Hellfire

Choosing the Bravado Gauntlet Hellfire in the Pier to Pier checkpoint race.

YouTube link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHVE4gi1_rQ

"What is a car for, if it's not for getting from A to B? And what's the point of A and B, if they're not a quarter of a mile apart on a flat surface in a straight line? These are the questions Bravado asked themselves, and the Hellfire was the answer. Give it what it needs, and this thing will immolate just about everything else on four wheels. Turn that funny-looking wheel in the middle of the dash even a little bit, and you're as good as dead." - Southern San Andreas Super Autos

The Bravado Gauntlet Hellfire is without a doubt one of the fastest muscle cars available. It is based on the Dodge Challenger with elements taken from the Camaro and from the Ford Mustang. The Bravado Gauntlet Hellfire can be yours for just $745,000. Considering the performance you get, this is a really great price.

The acceleration and speed rating is absolutely excellent and outpaces most competitors. The Gauntlet Hellfire also has a poor turning radius and lacks slightly in traction. Despite these negatives, the Gauntlet remains the best decision considering all the cars that fall into the muscle car class.
