[Top 11] Genshin Impact Best F2P Weapons That Are Powerful (And How To Get Them)

I hope Collei's disease is cured soon...

With the addition of Sumeru, the new region ruled by the Dendro Archon, more weapons are descending into our hands. At the moment, no new f2p weapons have appeared in banners, but a craftable one has entered the ranks. In this guide, we update this f2p weapons tier list with the addition of Sumeru weapons.

11. Harbinger of Dawn

The first one is the Harbinger of Dawn. This sword may be the lowest rank for weapons, 3-star, but it’s not bad at all. Although its base ATK is low, if you maintain your HP at a certain level, it can increase the most important stats: Crit. Damage and Crit. Rate.

Someone like Albedo, a character who doesn’t stay on the field except at the start, can get much use out of this weapon because they’ll always be in full health. Another strategy would be to have a constant healing area around your DPS, like Diona’s burst or Kokomi’s skill.

Why This Item Is Great:

  • When HP is above 90%, increases CRIT Rate by 14%.
  • ATK (39 - 401)
  • CRIT DMG (10.2% - 46.9%)

How To Get This Item:

  • Standard Wish Wanderlust Invocation
  • Beginners' Wish
  • All Character Event Wishes and Weapon Event Wishes
  • Kaeya's Gain Story Quest reward
  • Nanako dialogue reward

10. Moonpiercer

The different-styled photo indicates that this weapon is the new craftable weapon added to the game and this ranking. The impact it had even made our beloved Harbinger of Dawn goes down a position. Not only does this weapon increase ATK even if the wielder isn’t on the field; but this effect can happen easily by triggering a Dendro reaction. It’s a must-have for Dendro characters!

At the moment the only characters that use this element are Collei and Tighnari, and both use a bow to attack. That’s why at the moment there are no practical damage numbers, and the reason this is at the top is just theoretical. When the first polearm Dendro character drops, we’ll know for sure.

Why This Item Is Great:

  • After triggering Burning, Quicken, Aggravate, Spread, Bloom, Hyperbloom, or Burgeon, a Leaf of Revival will be created around the character for a maximum of 10s. When picked up, the Leaf will grant the character 16%/20%/24%/28%/32% ATK for 12s. Only 1 Leaf can be generated this way every 20s. This effect can still be triggered if the character is not on the field.
  • ATK (44 - 565)
  • Elemental mastery (24 - 110)

How To Get This Item:

  • Forging: Its diagram, Tale of the Moonlight, is obtained from Aravinay. Exchange one Stories of You and the Aranara for one of the available blueprints in their store.

9. Luxurious Sea-Lord

This funny-looking fish is indeed a claymore. When it was given as a present at a fishing event people made fun of it. Until they started to use it, that is. It’s an amazing weapon when equipped with characters whose gameplay is based on elemental bursts. Also, the tuna is so funny to see.

And not only the big tuna. The huge onrush of tuna that appears after using an elemental burst is even funnier. Thinking in terms of power instead of fun, that tuna wave that deals 100% ATK can get pretty amazing together with the 55.1% increase in ATK of this weapon.

Why This Item Is Great:

  • Increases Elemental Burst DMG by 12%. When Elemental Burst hits opponents, there is a 100% chance of summoning a huge onrush of tuna that charges and deals 100% ATK as AoE DMG. This effect can occur once every 15s.
  • ATK (41 - 454)
  • ATK (12% - 55.1%)

How To Get This Item:

  • Reach 100% collection progress in the Moonlight Seeker event stage Path of Stalwart Stone

8. “The Catch”

“The catch” was included at the same time as the Luxurious Sea Lord. You can change your fish for this polearm in Inazuma’s Fishing Association. Although similar to the last one, this polearm is better because it not only increases bursts’ damage and Crit. rate, but it also helps recharge their energy as well.

It’s a weapon suited for burst characters, who need both burst damage and energy to charge said burst. A beautiful example is Raiden Shogun,  whose main DPS comes from the nuker she deals after activating her burst. This weapon can and will make Raiden even better.

Why This Item Is Great:

  • Increases Elemental Burst DMG by 16% and Elemental Burst CRIT Rate by 6%.
  • ATK (42 - 510)
  • Energy Recharge (10% - 45.9%)

How To Get This Item:

  • Purchased from Inazuma Fishing Association

7. The Widsith

Now, this is a catalyst you can equip to almost every catalyst character in Genshin Impact. Even if the passive abilities it gives them are random, the three of them are so fantastic that it doesn’t matter which you get. I mean, 60% ATK, 48% elemental damage, or 240 elemental mastery?

Even if they seem like completely different stats, they’re basically the same for catalyst users. All their attacks deal elemental damage, so both ATK and elemental damage are almost one and the same. Moreover, elemental mastery is used to increase the damage in reactions, which will also increase if the raw power is increased.

Why This Item Is Great:

  • When a character takes the field, they will gain a random theme song for 10s. This can only occur once every 30s.
  • Recitative: ATK is increased by 60%.
  • Aria: Increases all Elemental DMG by 48%.
  • Interlude: Elemental Mastery is increased by 240.
  • ATK (42 - 510)
  • CRIT DMG (12% - 55.1%)

How To Get This Item:

  • Standard Wish Wanderlust Invocation
  • All Character Event Wishes and Weapon Event Wishes

6. Rust

In 6th place, we find the weapon that fits Tartaglia the best. Why is that? Because it increases Normal attacks by a lot. When refined it can even get to 80%! Although it’s a pity it decreases charged attacks’ damage, people like Tartaglia or Yoimiya can live without them.

Moreover, its secondary stat is ATK, increasing up to 41.3%. This is a good choice for normal and charged attacks DPS because these types of attacks are not skills and only depend on the ATK stat. This bow is a simple and straightforward way of building a NA DPS.

Why This Item Is Great:

  • Increases Normal Attack DMG by 40% but decreases Charged Attack DMG by 10%.
  • ATK (42 - 510)
  • ATK (9% - 41.3%)

How To Get This Item:

  • Standard Wish Wanderlust Invocation
  • All Character Event Wishes and Weapon Event Wishes

Item details: https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Rust

5. Skyward Atlas

The second half of the top is full of the 5-star weapons that can be found in the standard wish banner and, well, they are all amazing. The Skyward Atlas, in particular, helps catalyst characters both with its amazing ATK% supplement and its Elemental Damage addition. The off-field damage given by its passive can’t be forgotten as well.

Have you ever been so low in health a hit would kill you, but unable to retreat because the enemy is in a similar situation? In that case, the Favor of the Clouds will be of help to you. After dealing a normal hit to an enemy, the Favor will auto-target and attack that enemy for 15 s. Amazing, isn’t it?

Why This Item Is Great:

  • Increases Elemental DMG Bonus by 12%. Normal Attack hits have a 50% chance to earn the favour of the clouds. which actively seeks out nearby opponents to attack for 15s, dealing 160% ATK DMG. Can only occur once every 30s.
  • ATK (48 - 674)
  • ATK (7.2 - 33.1%)

How To Get This Item:

  • Standard Wish Wanderlust Invocation
  • All Weapon Event Wishes

Item details: https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Skyward_Atlas

4. Skyward Harp

From the same set, the Skyward Harp gets 4th place. This weapon is a mix of the Harbinger of Dawn and the Skyward Atlas. It gives the user an increase in Crit. rate and Crit. Damage, like the first sword, and off-field damage frequently, like the last catalyst.

The best thing about weapons that give both CRIT Rate and DMG is that they make it so that you don’t need to farm or use a specific headset artifact for those stats. Giving you more time and space for building other aspects of your character.

Why This Item Is Great:

  • Increases CRIT DMG by 20%. Hits have a 60% chance to inflict a small AoE attack, dealing 125% Physical ATK DMG. Can only occur once every 4s.
  • ATK (48 - 674)
  • CRIT Rate (4.8% - 22.1%)

How To Get This Item:

  • Standard Wish Wanderlust Invocation
  • All Weapon Event Wishes

Item details: https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Skyward_Harp

3. Aquila Favonia

In the top 3, we find Jean’s main weapon. It gives tons of ATK and Physical damage bonuses, so it’s amazing if you use it for her (or another character) when going full Physical DPS. Not only that, the Falcon of the West passive ability can both deal off-field damage and heal a part of your character’s health.

Another use for this weapon is to create full DPS from skill-centred ones. Kazuha is an example. Even after max levelling his normal attacks, they don’t deal much damage. However, he can’t lose the Anemo DMG Bonus within his artifact. This weapon could solve his NA problem and transform him into a full DPS.

Why This Item Is Great:

  • ATK is increased by 20%. Triggers on taking DMG: the soul of the Falcon of the West awakens, holding the banner of the resistance aloft, regenerating HP equal to 100% of ATK and dealing 200% of ATK as DMG to surrounding opponents. This effect can only occur once every 15s.
  • ATK (48 - 674)
  • Physical DMG Bonus (9% - 41.3%)

How To Get This Item:

  • Standard Wish Wanderlust Invocation
  • All Weapon Event Wishes

Item details: https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Aquila_Favonia

2. Wolf’s Gravestone

If the last one was Jean’s weapon, this is Diluc’s. As a DPS that mainly focus on hitting enemies without stopping, having much ATK is fantastic. This claymore gives base ATK, ATK% as its substat, and ATK% with both its passives. I’ve seen characters with this weapon equipped that had up to 5000 points in ATK!

Eula and Itto are some of them. Like Diluc, their DPS is centred around their normal (and mainly charged) attacks. Together with their powerful base stats and amazing abilities kit, they won’t even need to worry about dealing critical hits and will crush enemies with raw ATK.

Why This Item Is Great:

  • Increases ATK by 20%. On hit, attacks against opponents with less than 30% HP increase all party members' ATK by 40% for 12s. Can only occur once every 30s.
  • ATK (46 - 608)
  • ATK (10.8% - 49.6%)

How To Get This Item:

  • Standard Wish Wanderlust Invocation
  • All Weapon Event Wishes

Item details: https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Wolf%27s_Gravestone

1. Primordial Jade Winged-Spear

Finally, the best weapon in the standard wish banner: the Primordial jade Winged-Spear. This polearm is said to be created for Morax to Xiao the yaksha. With every time you hit your enemies your ATK increases, up to 7 times. That means this weapon gives you a boost of both Crit. rate and 22% of ATK. Moreover, you have to agree with me that this is the prettiest weapon yet.

It seems weird to me that this weapon, which by the way is amazing, that belongs to a character that isn’t in the standard free-to-play banner, can be pulled in the standard banner. Maybe this is a sign that the game will increase the pool of f2p weapons and personal weapons that we, poor people, have available.

Why This Item Is Great:

  • On hit, increases ATK by 3.2% for 6s. Max 7 stacks. This effect can only occur once every 0.3s. While in possession of the maximum possible stacks, DMG dealt is increased by 12%.
  • ATK (48 - 674)
  • CRIT Rate (4.8% - 22.1%)

How To Get This Item:

  • Standard Wish Wanderlust Invocation
  • All Weapon Event Wishes

Item details: https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Primordial_Jade_Winged-Spear

Although the ranking hasn’t changed much, I’m hopeful for the future. The 3.0 version has just been installed and I think many more weapons and characters are waiting for us. Sumeru seems like a big and fun region that can bring us players, lots of new things to use and experience. As always, have fun!
