DPS are very important in Genshin Impact, since those are the characters that deal all the damage. I mean, DPS means damage per second!

If you don’t know which DPS are the best ones, we’re here to help you! We’ve done a tier list with ALL Genshin Impact’s DPS so you’ll know which ones you want in your teams!

Also, we’re just going to talk about those ones that don’t need elemental reaction to do numbers since they can do a lot of damage by themselves! Those that deal DMG through elemental reactions are named sup-DPS, and this is a tier list about DPS!

S TIER. Chef kiss, the BEST DPS you can get!

In this Tier S we have those DPS that are Genshin Impact’s best DPS! These ones are the best ones and you can’t get any better ones.

These ones don't need Elemental Reactions to deal a lot of DMG because they can deal it just by themselves. Even if Genshin Impact keeps releasing new DPS, it doesn’t mean old ones are not good!

What Makes Kamisato Ayaka S-Tier DPS:

  • She has a really balanced kit, since she can get a lot of DMG with no effort and you don’t have to look up for CRIT Rate in her build because of the Set she uses.
  • Her abilities deal a lot of DMG too without the need of an Elemental Reaction. Also, her Elemental Burst deals constant DMG while it’s in use.
  • When she stops running, her basic attacks deal Cryo DMG, so even if you can’t use her elementals because they’re on CD, you can still deal Cryo DMG with her!
  • Even if you decide to use Elemental Reactions with her to deal more DMG, almost every other element can deal DMG with Cryo, except for Geo and Dendro.
  • Cryo’s Elemental Reactions with Hydro and Pyro are the best ones by far! Ayaka doesn’t need a certain team to shine, but if you use a Permafrost team or a Pyro support with her, she’ll be the shiniest star in the sky!

What Makes Ganyu S-Tier DPS:

  • Her charged attacks deal Cryo DMG, but at level 2 she fires off a Frostflake Arrow that blooms after hitting an enemy, dealing AoE Cryo DMG.
  • Her DMG escalates really well, turning her into one of the best DPS of the game even if she’s a Bow carrier. I mean, she can one-shot Timmy’s birds, that’s pretty impressive.
  • Ganyu’s Elemental Skill leaves an Ice Lotus behind dealing AoE Cryo DMG. When she uses it, she dashes backward.
  • Her Elemental Burst summons a Sacred Cryo Pearl that will continuously rain down shards of ice dealing AoE Cryo DMG.
  • She can be a really good DPS, but her Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst turn her into an amazing support too. These abilities deal AoE Cryo DMG simplifying the use of Elemental Reactions with other characters, like Frozen or Melt.

What Makes Yoimiya S-Tier DPS:

  • Her charged attack generates 3 Kindling Arrows at level 2 that will home in on nearby opponents.
  • Her Elemental Skill converted her basic attacks to Blazing Arrows, increasing her DMG and dealing Pyro DMG.
  • Her Elemental Burst deals AoE Pyro DMG, marks one opponent and if you hit them with any other character it will trigger an explosion, dealing more AoE Pyro DMG.
  • She’s ideal to do Elemental reactions such as Cryo or Hydro characters like Xinqiu or Kaeya.
  • Since she’s a pyro character, she doesn’t need an expecific team. She can adjust to any kind of team because Pyro’s elemental reactions are very good!

What Makes Xiao S-Tier DPS:

  • Xiao lunges forward with his Elemental Skill and deals Anemo DMG to opponents in his path.
  • His Elemental Skill can be used in mid-air to reach places that are far away.
  • His Elemental Burst increases his jumping ability, his attack AoE and DMG, and converts attack DMG into Anemo DMG.
  • Xiao’s mysterious aura and his desire to protect people from demons make him a great male character. He can be too emo sometimes, but that’s a part of his charms.
  • His Elemental Burst is perfect for Abyss’ floors where there are a lot of enemies, since it deals AoE DMG.

What Makes Hu Tao S-Tier DPS:

  • She’s one of the best DPS in the game since she deals a lot of DMG with her Normal Attacks, even if she needs a little help from her Skill.
  • When she uses her Elemental Skill, she deals Pyro DMG with her Normal Attacks, so she’ll deal even more DMG.
  • If you use characters as Xingqiu or Yelan in your team that increase Hu Tao’s DMG, she’ll deal more. Vaporize is one of the best Elemental Reactions for Pyro characters.
  • Since she’s a pyro character, she doesn’t need an expecific team. She can adjust to any kind of team because Pyro’s elemental reactions are very good!
  • Even if she loses HP with her Elemental Skill, she ascends through HP and she can heal herself with her Elemental Burst.

What Makes Raiden Shogun S-Tier DPS:

  • Raiden Shogun deals a really good DMG with her Normal Attacks even if they don’t deal Electro DMG if you don’t use your Elemental Burst first. When you use her Skill, her DMG increases a lot.
  • Even if you build her as a support, she’ll deal a lot of DMG with her Normal Attacks. If you cast her Burst, her Normal Attacks will deal Electro DMG for a short time period, but it’s enough to defeat everyone.
  • If you use characters such as Yelan or Xingqiu in your team, you’ll deal more DMG when you use her Burst, since you’ll apply Elemental Reactions.
  • Despite the fact that she has a lot of DMG, she can be used to recharge Elemental Burst’s teammates!
  • She doesn’t need an expecific team. She can adjust to any kind of team because her elemental kit is very good and it can be useful in any kind of situation.
  • She’s a really versatile character. She can be used as a DPS or as a support. You decide which one you like the most!

A TIER. They’re very good DPS, we love them

A Tier characters are those ones that are very close to be the best DPS in the game, but they can’t because they lack DMG or utility in their abilities kits so they have to be in a tier below the best ones in Genshin Impact.

What Makes Klee A-Tier DPS:

  • Since Klee is a catalyst, she applies Pyro in every attack she does. If you build her with Crimson Witch of Flames, she’ll deal that Pyro DMG all the time.
  • Also, she applies it with her Elemental Skill and Burst, but she can be fighting all the time because she’ll deal DMG in any way.
  • If you use characters as Xingqiu or Yenlan in your team that increases Klee’s DMG, she’ll deal more. Vaporize is one of the best Elemental Reactions for Pyro characters.
  • Despite the fact that she’s a pyro character, she doesn’t need an expecific team. She can adjust to any kind of team because Pyro’s elemental reactions are very good!
  • Since she’s a catalyst, she attacks from distance so she doesn’t have to expose herself to enemies. These kind of characters are very safe if you don’t have any good support or shielder.

What Makes Arataki Itto A-Tier DPS:

  • Itto’s Elemental Skill summons Ushi, a kind of bull that deals AoE Geo DMG and makes Itto gain stacks of Superlative Superstrength.
  • He lets out his inner Raging Oni King and converts his attacks to Geo DMG and increases his attack speed.
  • Ushi is really useful because enemies redirect their attention to him, so you can hit them easily and you won’t receive any DMG from them. If you’re been hit by a powerful enemy, it is very useful.
  • He’s used in Geo teams because this element increases his DMG. Even if Geo doesn’t have Elemental reactions, it’s very useful to Geo characters and to shield your teammates
  • He’s a very free to play character because he ascends by DEF and there’s a DEF claymore in the forgue. Also, he’s very easy to build because of this.

What Makes Eula A-Tier DPS:

  • Even if Eula is a Cryo character, you almost don’t use her for her Cryo DMG, since she deals Physical DMG.
  • When you use her Elemental Skill, her Physical DMG and Attack Speed increase, dealing more DMG in less time.
  • When you use her Elemental Burst, you can almost one shot everyone because you have all Elemental Skill’s stacks.
  • Characters like Zhongli or Yunjin are perfect for her, since they decrease enemies’ DEF or buff Eula’s DMG.
  • She doesn’t need an expecific team. She can adjust to any kind of team because of her physical DMG and it can be useful in any kind of situation.

What Makes Yae Miko A-Tier DPS:

  • When she uses her Elemental Skill, she moves swiftly, leaving a Sesshou Sakura behind. It deals Electro DMG to enemies and it has a max of 3 stacks.
  • When these Sesshou Sakura are in combat and she uses her Elemental Burst, it deals more DMG since those totems increase her DMG.
  • When casting her Elemental Burst, each Sesshou Sakura destroyed resets the cooldown for 1 charge of her Elemental Skill.
  • Since her totems attack even if she’s not in combat, she’s really good at dealing AoE Electro DMG and supporting other teammates with Elemental Reactions.
  • We recommend to use her in teams with Dendro and Hydro characters because those elemental reactions are the most powerful ones for Electro characters.

What Makes Kamisato Ayato A-Tier DPS:

  • Even if Ayato is a Hydro character that can be a Support, he can still be a DPS and his normal attacks are very important.
  • Ayato’s Elemental Skill makes a copy of him and his normal attacks apply Hydro. His attack speed is increased, so he can deal more Hydro DMG in less time.
  • Even if it’s focused on his Elemental Skill and his Elemental Burst, it’s always recommendable to have someone like Bennet, Xingqiu, or Xiangling in your team to increase that DMG.
  • His Elemental Burst deals AoE Hydro, which it’s very useful for Elemental Reactions. If you have Pyro characters that deals AoE Pyro DMG while he’s using his Burst and attacking,it’s perfect.
  • After a Shunsuiken attack hits an opponent, it will grant Ayato the Namisen effect, increasing the DMG dealt by Shunsuiken based on Ayato's current Max HP.

B TIER. They’re fine, we approve them!

The B Tier characters are those ones that deal DMG, but they’re not the best at it. There are characters better than them, but they can work if you like their design or the character! They’re better than C Tier characters but can’t reach A Tier.

What Makes Keqing B-Tier DPS:

  • At the beginning of your adventure, any 5 star is great but Keqing is a DPS, which makes her more useful to you at this point.
  • Her Elemental Skill is very useful to explore, something very important in the game.
  • Keqing’s Elemental Burst do AoE Electro DMG, which simplifies battles and Elemental Reactions.
  • Something negative about her is as you continue with the story you will notice she lacks damage compared with other characters. She’s great at the beginning, but not that great when you’re advanced and enemies’ levels and difficulty keep increasing.
  • If she uses her Elemental Skill again, she will blink to the location of the Mark and unleash one slashing attack that deals AoE Electro DMG.

What Makes Tartaglia B-Tier DPS:

  • His charged attacks deal the Riptide status, a kind of mark that deals AoE Hydro DMG when they’re being attacked by Tartaglia.
  • When you defeat an opponent affected by Riptide, it creates a Hydro burst that inflicts Riptide to nearby opponents.
  • Tartaglia’s Elemental Burst deals AoE Hydro DMG and applies Riptide. This is helpful to freeze enemies with a Cryo shield or vaporize with a Pyro shield, dealing even more DMG.
  • Using his Elemental Burst returns a portion of its Energy Cost.
  • Hitting an opponent affected by Riptide with a melee attack unleashes a Riptide Slash that deals AoE Hydro DMG.

What Makes Diluc B-Tier DPS:

  • Diluc’s Elemental Skill can be used 3 times and deals Pyro DMG. It has a really short CD period and you can use basic attacks in between.
  • His Elemental Burst summons a Phoenix to knock back nearby opponents dealing AoE Pyro DMG. The searing flames that run down his blade cause it to be infused with Pyro.
  • Diluc’s charged attack stamina cost decreased by 50%.
  • Since he’s a Claymore character, mining is easier with him.
  • The only negative thing I can see about Diluc is that his attacks are slower because of the Claymore he carries, but that happens with all Claymore characters (except Eula) so it’s nothing to worry about.

What Makes Heizou B-Tier DPS:

  • When he uses his Elemental Skill he charges energy to unleash a strong blow that he’ll hit to enemies like a ball.
  • Also he will obtain the Declension effect while charging, which will increase the power of the Heartstopper Strike, his Elemental Skill.
  • With his Elemental Burst he leaps into the air and kicks his opponent with a ball. The ball will explode upon hit and create an Arresting Windtunnel that pulls in nearby objects and opponents, dealing AoE Anemo DMG.
  • When Shikanoin Heizou activates a Swirl reaction while on the field, he will gain 1 Declension stack for Heartstopper Strike.
  • Since he’s an anemo character, he’s really versatile and he can adjust to any kind of team. Anemo doesn’t have elemental reactions but he’s really useful dealing other elements AoE DMG.

C TIER. They can work if you don’t have nothing better

In this C Tier we have those characters that are not the best but not the worst at the same time. They can work if you don’t have anything better and they’re always a better option than D Tier characters!

  • Fischl’s Elemental Burst makes her take on Oz's form, increasing her Movement Speed and strikes nearby opponents with lightning, dealing Electro DMG.
  • Since her Elemental Skill keeps in combat even if she’s not in the battle, it’s very helpful for elemental reactions and helps her teammates at the same time she deals a lot of DMG.
  • When her Elemental Burst ends and If Oz is already on the field, it’ll reset the duration of his presence.
  • She can provide a lot of energy recharge which is her stronger point, being damage dealing not her best feature.

What Makes Rosaria C-Tier DPS:

  • She has a passive that increases the CRIT Rate of her teammates (15% of Rosaria’s CRIT Rate)
  • Her Elemental Burst slash surrounding opponents and summons an Ice Lance that strikes the ground dealing AoE Cryo DMG. Also, while active, the Ice Lance releases cold air and deals more AoE Cryo DMG.
  • Pyro and Hydro characters like Xiangling or Xingqiu are the best ones for her because it’s easier to do Elemental Reactions while her Elemental Burst is on.
  • With her Elemental Skill she appears behind her opponent, then stabs and slashes them with her polearm, dealing Cryo DMG
  • At night (18:00 – 6:00), increases the Movement SPD of your own party members by 10%.

  • When Yanfei's Normal Attacks hit enemies, they will grant her a single Scarlet Seal (max 3). This Charged Attack's AoE and DMG will increase according to the amount of Scarlet Seals consumed.
  • Yanfei’s Elemental Skill summons blistering flames that deal AoE Pyro DMG. Opponents hit by the flames will grant her the max number of Scarlet Seals.
  • Her Elemental Burst triggers a spray of intense flames that rush at nearby opponents, dealing AoE Pyro DMG, granting Yanfei the maximum number of Scarlet Seals.
  • Since she’s a catalyst, she attacks from distance so she doesn’t have to expose herself to enemies. These kind of characters are very safe if you don’t have any good support or shielder.
  • Since she’s a pyro character, she doesn’t need an expecific team. She can adjust to any kind of team because Pyro’s elemental reactions are very good! We recommend using Hydro or Cryo characters with her.

What Makes Kaeya C-Tier DPS:

  • Kaeya’s Elemental Skill unleashes a frigid blast that deals Cryo DMG.
  • Every hit with his Elemental Skill regenerates HP for him equal to 15% of his ATK. You should build him with ATK so he’ll regenerate more HP and he’ll have more damage too.
  • His Elemental Burst summons 3 circles that revolve around the character you’re using at the moment and deals Cryo DMG.
  • Opponents Frozen by his Elemental Skill will drop additional Elemental Particles. Those particles help him to recharge faster his elementals.
  • Cryo is one of the most useful elements in Genshin Impact, so we recommend using him with Hydro, Pyro or Dendro characters since those are the best elemental reactions for Cryo.

What Makes Chongyun C-Tier DPS:

  • Chongyun strikes the ground with his Elemental Skill, causing a Cryo explosion in a circular AoE in front of him that deals Cryo DMG. After this, his claymore will be infuse in Cryo, dealing Cryo DMG with his normal attacks.
  • His Elemental Burst summons 3 giant spirit blades in mid-air that fall to the earth one by one after a short delay, exploding as they hit the ground. When the spirit blades explode, they will deal AoE Cryo DMG and launch opponents.
  • Even if claymore users are very slow attacking, they can be very useful for exploration. It’s very easy to collect minerals with them!
  • Cryo is one of the most useful elements in Genshin Impact, so we recommend using him with Hydro, Pyro or Dendro characters since those are the best elemental reactions for Cryo.
  • Even if he can be a DPS, he’s also very good as a support. It’s a very flexible character, which makes him even a better character!

What Makes Razor C-Tier DPS:

  • If you press his Elemental Skill, Razor swings the Thunder Wolf Claw, dealing Electro DMG to opponents in front of him. But if you hold it, it’ll deal AoE Electro DMG.
  • His Elemental Burst summons the Wolf Within, which deals Electro DMG to all nearby opponents.
  • Also, his Elemental Burst increases his ATK speed, Razor is immune to DMG inflicted by the Electro-charged status and his normal attacks deal Electro DMG.
  • When his Energy is below 50%, increases Energy Recharge by 30%. This will make him recharge his elementals faster!
  • Teams with Dendro and Hydro characters are perfect for him, since those elements combine really with Electro and do the best elemental reactions!

What Makes Ninguang C-Tier DPS:

  • Ningguang’s Elemental Skill creates a Jade Screen that deals AoE Geo DMG. This screen blocks opponents’ projectiles.
  • Her Jade Screen crystallizes when it makes contact with other elements such as Pyro or Cryo bringing you shields with the little crystals it generates.
  • If a character passes through the Jade Screen, it will gain a 12% of Geo DMG Bonus for 10s.
  • When Ningguang is in possession of Star Jades, her Charged Attack does not consume Stamina. Star Jades is a passive where she gains Jades any time she attacks an enemy and will attack them when she does a charged attack.
  • Since she’s a catalyst, she attacks from distance so she doesn’t have to expose herself to enemies. These kind of characters are very safe if you don’t have any good support or her shields aren’t enough.

What Makes Mona C-Tier DPS:

  • Her Elemental Skill periodically deals AoE Hydro DMG, making it easier to deal Elemental Reactions such as Frozen or Vaporize.
  • Mona’s Elemental Burst deals AoE Hydro DMG and increases all party members’ DMG for a while. This is really useful when you have other Elemental Bursts ready since they will do more DMG.
  • She has a special way to sprint: Mona cloaks herself within the water’s flow. This can be useful to apply Wet status to nearby opponents, but it’s really difficult to explore Teyvat with her since you can’t go through some paths with her.
  • Since she’s a catalyst, she attacks from distance so she doesn’t have to expose herself to enemies. These kind of characters are very safe if you don’t have any good support or shielder.
  • Hydro is one of the most useful elements in Genshin Impact, so we recommend using him with Cryo, Pyro or Dendro characters since those are the best elemental reactions for Hydro.

D TIER. You’re NOT allow to use them

In this D Tier we have those characters that are the worst DPS in the whole game. They don’t have a lot of DMG or there are other better characters that have the same elemental that deal more DMG with them.

What Makes Amber D-Tier DPS:

  • When Amber casts her Elemental Skill the ever-reliable Baron Bunny takes the stage and continuously taunts the enemy.
  • When destroyed or when its timer expires, Baron Bunny explodes, dealing AoE Pyro DMG.
  • Her Elemental Burst fires off a shower of arrows, dealing continuous AoE Pyro DMG.
  • She’s ideal to do Elemental reactions such as Cryo or Hydro characters like Xinqiu or Kaeya.

What Makes Lisa D-Tier DPS:

  • Lisa’s Elemental Skill releases a homing Lightning Orb. It deals Electro DMG, and applies a stack of the Conductive status (max 3 stacks) to opponents in a small AoE.
  • But if you hold her Elemental Skill, she calls down lightning from the heavens, dealing massive Electro DMG to all nearby opponents.

  • We recommend using her in teams with Dendro and Hydro characters because those elemental reactions are the most powerful ones for Electro characters.

  • She’s a very free to play character because she ascends by DEF and there’s a DEF claymore in the forgue. Also, she’s very easy to build because of this.

What Makes Traveler D-Tier DPS:

  • Traveler is very good at the beginning of the game because it’s the only character you have and enemies aren’t that powerful. It’s the best option until you start gaining more characters in gacha!
  • If you need characters from a certain element of the region you’re at but you don’t have any, you can always use Traveler because they can get any element!
  • Even if Geo and Electro Traveler are not the best ones, Anemo and Dendro are very useful. They don’t deal a lot of DMG, but they can help the rest of the team with their Elemental.
  • Geo Traveler is very useful for puzzles if you don’t have any other Geo characters like Zhongli, Albedo or Itto.
  • There are better options than Traveler, but if you don’t have any option, they can work!
