[Top 11] Genshin Impact Best DPS Characters That Are Powerful (Latest Rankings)

Yelan is a fantastic addition to the game!

Although some characters have been included in the last update, not all of them have the same role in a team. Some of them are healers and some of them are shielders. However, the majority are DPS. Why is this? Because it’s the people’s favourite role due to the tons of damage they deal. In this tier, we include all the old and new DPS characters and rate them from 1st to 11th depending on how powerful we think they are.

11. Yae Miko

We can start from the Inazuman region, which has brought lots of powerful characters. Yae Miko is one of them. As the Electro Archon’s familiar, she possesses an Electro vision. Her skill and burst ask for assistance from the kitsune spirits. These spirits constantly deal damage to random enemies even when she’s not on the field. And her burs, well, let’s just say every enemy can only see it once

What Makes This Character Great for DPS:

  • Tons of damage off-field
  • Can also be a burst DPS
  • Very useful for energy recharging
  • Easily creates elemental reactions

10. Eula

Eula is a noble from Mondstadt hated by, well, 80% of the city. Even so, she uses her Cryo Vision to faithfully complete her work as a Knight of Favonious. Using her claymore, her quick normal attacks can kill an enemy in seconds. Eula loves a good Physical Damage Bonus, so get ready to farm!

What Makes This Character Great for DPS:

  • Grimheart prevents interruptions while getting attacked.
  • Elemental Skill deals massive AoE DMG, which is effective at clearing mobs.
  • Elemental Burst provides Grimheart and Physical DMG AoE.

9. Xiao

A good example of the changing of the ranks is Xiao. At the early stages of the game, he was one of the best DPS, and he still is, just a bit worse than the new characters like Ayaka or Ayato. Obviously, he is not old enough to be discarded, his Anemo plunging attacks still being worth our fears.

What Makes This Character Great for DPS:

  • His Elemental Burst allows him to strike from the air and come crashing down on foes.
  • Elemental Skill makes him suitable for exploration
  • Close-range attacks are fast and easy to use.
  • Able to deal massive damage without constellations unlocked.
  • Plunging at any height with Xiao won't result in taking DMG.

8. Sangonomiya Kokomi

Kokomi is from Inazuma, although from an annexed region that doesn’t believe in the Shogun: Watatsumi Island. Being the priestess of this realm, she has enough power to protect it. Moreover, not only can she deal tons of damage with her basic attacks, but she can also heal your team with the rest of her abilities kit.

What Makes This Character Great for DPS:

  • Excellent Healing capabilities.
  • Elemental Skill covers a wide area and can apply Hydro easily.
  • Decent DMG Output with her Normal Attacks during her Elemental Burst mode.
  • Normal Attacks during her Elemental Burst mode can heal the entire party.

7. Yelan

Another Hydro character with something to protect. This mysterious woman comes from Liyue and supposedly works for the Ministry of Civil Affairs. She’s constantly engaging in secret and dangerous missions, from which she always comes back safe and sound. This is because her skill and bursts allow her to become invincible for a time and mark her enemies before an explosion engulfs them all.

What Makes This Character Great for DPS:

  • Constant off-field damage with her basic attacks.
  • Charged attack deals tons of damage
  • Can become momentarily invincible.
  • Allows for easy clearing of domains because of her high speed.

6. Kamisato Ayato

The young master Ayato is the latest character introduced in the game, as well as on the tier of best DPS. Being included so early ago, it’s not easy to decide to put him in this rank, but here he is. His Hydro Vision allows him to inflict this element’s damage to enemies in an area. This helps cause reactions to tons of enemies at the same time, freezing or even doubling his damage.

What Makes This Character Great for DPS:

  • Good DPS
  • Allows perma-freezing in wide area
  • Quick and powerful normal attacks infused with Hydro
  • Creates a clone to distract enemies

5. Hu Tao

Hu Tao has been, from the time Liyue was introduced, in the high ranks of this tier. Her skills are a bit overkill, making her lose ⅓ of her life in exchange for a Pyro infusion and an increase in damage. But what an increase. And even the infusion is useful. With some reactions thanks to Xingqiu or Raiden, she can solo an Abyss floor.

What Makes This Character Great for DPS:

  • High Charged Attack and Elemental Burst DMG.
  • High Base CRIT DMG.
  • High Base HP and DEF.
  • Provides CRIT Rate for other party members.

4. Kamisato Ayaka

Ayaka is Ayato’s younger sister, who helps him manage the clan and destroy the enemies that threaten Inazuma. For this last purpose, she uses her Cryo Vision. She’s able to infuse her weapon with the element, possibly freezing everything her katana touches. With one of the most powerful bursts in the game, she’s amazing.

What Makes This Character Great for DPS:

  • High Base CRIT DMG.
  • Uses a special sprint that's useful for both exploration and combat.
  • High Elemental Burst DMG.
  • Easy Cryo Application with all her Talents.

3. Arataki Itto

Arataki itto, leader of the Arataki Gang, is one of the oni race. He’s playful on the inside but powerful by nature. His Geo Vision makes that power multiply when he uses her burst. He can increase his damage based on his DEF. This buff is combined with others, like the ability to dash without combo-braking or even being able to create a dummy.

What Makes This Character Great for DPS:

  • High Base CRIT Rate.
  • High Charged Attack DMG when enhanced with Superstrength Stacks from Normal Attacks & Elemental Skill.
  • Elemental Skill taunts enemies.
  • Elemental Burst increases overall DPS.

2. Raiden Shogun

The Electro Archon, the Almighty Shogun, or the ruler of Inazuma. This woman thousands of years old has many names, but with all of them comes a fear of her power. When changing her polearm to a sword, she can show outstanding power while also buffing her allies. Her mastery over the Electro element allows her to infuse her sword with it and deal lightning-fast attacks.

What Makes This Character Great for DPS:

  • Deals high active and passive Electro DMG.
  • Has a high Energy Recharge rate.
  • Increases the team's Elemental Burst DMG.
  • Regenerates Energy for the team.

1. Ganyu

Ganyu is just the best. Easy to play. Powerful as a truck. Has good mobility. Cute and intelligent. Everything. Her charged attacks are what made many pro players fall in love with her, making her the best DPS in the game. Those same attacks can bloom, increasing the damage they make and widening the AoE. Together with her burst, she’s unstoppable.

What Makes This Character Great for DPS:

  • High base CRIT DMG.
  • Multiple AoE Skills.
  • Deals massive damage even at C0
  • Provides Cryo DMG Bonus Support.
