Thorn is the newest operator in Rainbow Six Siege. She came with Operation High Calibre, and she came with a new gun too. The UZK50GI. A submachine gun that is unique to her. She adds a lot to the game with this new gun and her panic-inducing special gadget, the Razorbloom Shells. They may sound pretty, but trust me, they’re not.

5. M870 + C75 Auto with Suppressor + Deployable Shield

This will be your roaming-shotgun loadout. Putting lasers on shotguns really help tighten its pellet spread but the problem is, the laser can compromise your position, which can be very detrimental especially when you’re roaming, and especially against opponents with good instincts and great pre-fire. The m870 has accurate flick shots anyway even without a laser, you’ll be okay even without it. 

This roaming loadout specializes in harassing enemies from close to medium range, and from under wooden floors as well.

• Roaming
• Stealth

4. UZK50GI with Red Dot, Suppressor, and Vertical Grip + C75 + Barbed Wire

Above is your roaming-shotgun loadout, and this one is for players, well, like me, who aren’t that fond of shotguns. The UZK50GI does pretty high damage even with the damage reduction penalty from the suppressor, and its stable recoil will allow you to shoot enemies from long range with good accuracy, all the while preventing them from getting the white directional threat indicator and the bullet trace. That’s one of the biggest benefits from the suppressor. 

The barbed wire is also a great tool to have while roaming because just one of it and one Razorbloom Shell, combined, can effectively prevent an enemy from being able to kill you from behind.

• Stealth
• Roaming
• Any range

3. M870 with Laser + C75 + Barbed Wire

This is a great anchor loadout to have especially when you treat the C75 secondary as your primary while you're still waiting for enemies from long to medium range, and when you sense them nearing your objective area, you can switch to the M870 which is one of the most OP shotguns in the game. With these guns along with the barbed wire used in conjunction with the Razorbloom Shells. It’ll be very hard for attackers to overcome your close-range superiority.

• Close range
• Anchoring
• Preventing enemies from pushing

2. UZK50GI with Red Dot, Compensator, and Angled Grip + C75 Auto with Suppressor + Deployable Shield

The UZKG0GI has a vertical kick that only goes straight upwards, but its recoil diamond is pretty big. And the bigger the recoil diamond is, the more prone the gun will be for random recoils. Which basically really means, the recoil on all directions. The compensator specializes in reducing that, and that is why equipping a compensator to the UZKG0GI will produce a more stable recoil, which means more accurate shooting.

Now Thorn’s Razorbloom Shells work perfectly in conjunction with slow effects, but when placed on doorways, the deployable shield will also be a great partner for Thorn’s special gadget, if you place them a few feet inside the room and away from the deployable shield. That way, when an attacker vaults over the deployable shield, he’ll be caught in the Razorbloom trap and he’ll have no choice but to try to vault back, which will leave him exposed to gunfire from you or your teammates.

Excels in:

• Close to medium range
• Reducing recoil from all directions

1. UZK50GI with Red Dot, Flash Hider, and Angled Grip + C75 Auto with Suppressor + Barbed Wire

The most balanced Thorn loadout. You can use this loadout for anchoring or roaming. The flash hider specializes in reducing the vertical kick of weapons, and for weapons like the UZKG0GI which has a vertical kick that only goes straight upwards, the flash hider is a great attachment to use. It will also remove the muzzle flash from your gun and this could help in preventing enemies from noticing you immediately.

The suppressed C75 is good for shooting attacker drones or claymores without alerting your enemies when you’re roaming or rotating. The barbed wire is the best partner for your Razorbloom Shells in most situations, especially when opponents try to walk over them.

• Close to medium range
• Versatility
