[Top 5] Rainbow 6 Siege Best Montagne Loadouts

R6 best Montagne Loadouts
It’s always challenging to beat a coordinated team that has a Monty main

Team Rainbow’s walking tank. This guy can even survive a nitro cell with his trusty extendable shield. With a team that knows how to coordinate, Monty is a menace. But even when he’s alone, he’s a force to reckon with, especially when the player knows how to utilize his loadout choices to his advantage. Montagne can catch even veteran players off guard when switching from covering himself with his shield to his powerful pistols.

5. Le Roc Shield + P9 with Suppressor + Hard Breach Charge

It’s always fun seeing the delay in the reaction time of players when you hit them with a suppressed gun

When Montagne expands his shield to fully cover his front, the enemies’ tendency is to ignore him and look for other targets. That’s usually when they leave themselves off-guard and be vulnerable to your pistol switch. Just be careful not to do it too close because the switch to pistol would be loud. But if you’re able to pull it off from a proper distance, you’ll be able to strafe the enemy with this silenced pistol and the suppressor will create some delay before they can react and figure out where he’s being shot from.

The hard breach charge is a perfect partner for the silenced P9 because it can create a murder hole for when you switch to your pistol and it will be big enough for you to pass through for a push as well.

Excels in:

  • Close to medium range

4. Le Roc Shield + LFP586 + Hard Breach Charge

This gat looks fine as hell

With this loadout, instead of the stealth benefits that the suppressor gives. You’d be counting on the heavy damage that the LFP586 makes. At 78, this revolver has the same power as a marksman rifle at close range, and when you catch your opponent off-guard with a quick shield to pistol switch, two to three hits would be enough to finish them off.

Use the breach charge for another entry hole or for creating another angle for your LFP586 to feast on.

Excels in:

  • Close range

3. Le Roc Shield + P9 with Muzzle Brake + Smoke Grenade

A more careful approach

This is a perfect loadout for chokepoints and a Montagne-turn-around-plant strat. Pop off your smoke grenades on strategic spots to cover your plant then turn around so that your back will be covered by your shield and proceed with the plant. On choke points, this strat is almost unstoppable unless there’s a Smoke on the enemy team. Especially if it's round one and you catch them by surprise.

Excels in:

  • Close range

2. Le Roc Shield + LFP586 with Laser + Smoke Grenade

Magnums with a laser is something straight out of action movies

Lasers make hip fire accuracy better, and even though it wouldn’t guarantee a hit, with Montagne, hip firing with your LFP586 while most of your body is still protected by the shield can be a really effective way for pushing. On choke points, most of your enemies will try to melee you in order to sway your shield. But with the heavy damage LFP586 in your hand, they’d be making a big mistake, because the laser will improve your chances of hitting them with hip fire, especially at close range.

Excels in:

  • Close range

1. Le Roc Shield + P9 with Muzzle Brake and Laser + Smoke Grenade

A tank with deadly fire power

Even though the P9 has much less damage than the LFP586, it compensates a lot with recoil control and bullet per magazine capacity. That means more accuracy and rate of fire because the lower the recoil, the more you can fire it at faster rates. And with the added accuracy benefits of the laser, this loadout is really the most balanced and the best you can get for Montagne.

Excels in:

  • Close to medium range
