Esmeralda is one of those flex heroes that seamlessly fits any position in the map. Her role versatility makes her an awesome choice often showing up even on international tournaments. One of the favorites of EXP learners, she made her name as a graceful hero who showcases both sustainability and damage.

Her mobility paired with her regen abilities and solid sustained damage makes her a good option for prolonged teamfights, taking both the damage for the team while dishing out continuous magic damage to disrupt the enemy. She leaves a non-ignorable mark in the map and all her foes are wary of this magical enchantress.

3. Fighter Build

The build that gives Esme the sustain she needs when dueling with other fighters. The combination of defense items and CD reduction items let her continuously deal damage while absorbing enemy damage, pushing them back to their turrets. The kit allows her to be aggressive while having a high survival chance due to her damage absorption build combined with her passive.

The Ice Queen wand is the perfect addition for lowering the movement of the enemies for either an Esme takedown or a team kill. This kit turns Esmeralda into a persistent threat that disrupts enemy decision-making and movement.

3. Dominance Ice (2010) - Solid early item for roamers. Reduces HP and shield regen of enemies by 50% and reduces enemy attack speed by up to 75%.

4. Oracle (2060): Provides HP, Magic Def, and CD. The oracles passive increases incoming HP and shield to the unit.

5. Blade Armor (1960): deals with the continuous basic attacks from MM’s, returns 20% of the damage back to the damage dealer

6. Ice Queen Wand (2240) - diverse item with a wide array of stats to offer. It provides Magic power, lifesteal, HP, and Movement speed. Its passive is a really good effect to have which slows enemies by 15%

2. Gold Lane Build

A high burst damage build perfect for facing off against squishy marksmen. This kit is utilized by playing aggressively at the start of the game, backed up by the almost unlimited mana provided by the enchanted talisman and its CD reduction. Take as much damage out and blow the marksman away from minions to stunt their growth or take them down so they cannot snowball their team's way to victory. This build is all about fights and burst downs so if you take this build you better know how to utilize Esmeralda in a fight.

An unpredictable role for Esmeralda is a gold laner faced up against enemy marksmen, but worry not, Esme can handle MM’s just fine and even be the sole reason for preventing their snowball abilities.

6. Blood Wings (3000) - a high-cost late-game item that gives the most additional magic power stats. It provides a whopping +175  magic power and +500 HP. Passive casts a shield scalable with magic power to the user. The exceptional high-damage item for high-damage builds.

1. Jungler Build

Focused on giving Esmeralda efficient jungling ability while keeping her high damage output, the build makes use of multiple magic damage items combined with CD reduction boots to increase her ability cooldowns resulting in faster jungler and higher damage dealt to enemies in her way. This build also equips immortality for good measure to ensure that Esmeralda stays alive in skirmishes and has an increased chance of securing jungle objectives.

The build is perfectly paired with retribution for a highly efficient jungling time and fast secures of Lords and Turtles. Speed, damage, mobility, and escape skills all are what make a jungler super efficient and effective, ad this build just highlights them all making Esme a formidable jungle hero.

• Need high burst damage but with a bit of sustain

5. Genius Wand (2000) - item used for enemies with high magic def stats. Gives the user high magic power and increased movement speed. Passive is heavily focused on magic penetration to deal heavy damage to enemies.

6. Immortality (2120): High sustain and on-spot revival. Revives the hero when killed on top of its additional HP and Physical DEF.
