[Top 5] Rainbow 6 Siege Best Castle Loadouts That Are Excellent

R6 Siege Top 5 Best Castle Loadouts That Are Excellent
Fortifying weak points and creating choke points is his specialty

Castle used to be a very underrated operator, but with the recent buff that made him able to carry four Armor Panels, his pick rate rose and deservingly so. Castle have always been one of the best operators in Siege even when he only had three Armor Panels. He could use them to fortify a weak angle or create choke points. Whenever possible, I reserve one Armor Panel in case of situations where a doorway or window needs to be barricaded later on in the game. His guns remain underrated though, when in reality they're one of the best guns in the game. In this article, we will discuss Castle's guns and the best attachments to use on them.

5. M104 with Reflex B + 5.7 USG with Suppressor + Proximity Alarm

Even Siege veterans can be caught off guard with the tactic discussed below

This is a great loadout for surprising Castle’s enemies by using his Armor Panels as bait. Castle’s Armor Panel breaks when they’re hit by melee attacks eight times, so a great way to surprise enemies is to place a proximity alarm outside an Armor Panel, hit the Armor Panel seven times, and when the proximity alarm tells you that there’s an enemy outside, hit the Armor Panel for the eight time and surprise the enemy outside with the M104 shotgun’s high close range damage. This tactic is also great for enemies rappelling outside windows with Armor Panels.

This loadout is also great for a more conventional defending approach. The M104’s powerful destructive capabilities can help the whole team when it comes to creating rotation holes which are very important, especially in ranked matches. And with the reflex sight B, Castle will be able to hit his enemies with added accuracy using his shotgun. The reflex sight B is great for shotguns because it provides a clear and wide front view for the player, and it doesn’t take much of the screen space.

As for long range encounters, you can use the suppressed 5.7 USG handgun. Even with the damage penalty from the suppressor, it still does a very decent 35 damage per shot, and it will allow you to shoot attacker drones and other gadgets quietly and without compromising your location to your enemies.

Excels in:

  • Close range
  • Heavy damage
  • Compromising enemy locations

Build details:

  • M104 with Reflex B
  • 5.7 USG with Suppressor
  • Proximity Alarm

4. UMP45 with Scope 1.5x, Flash Hider, And Vertical Grip + Super Shorty with Reflex B + Proximity Alarm

Hiding the muzzle flash is one of the best ways to avoid an effective counter fire

The UMP45 is one of the most stable guns in the game for long range firing. It has a very low recoil and its only drawback is its relatively slow rate of fire. But with the flash hider, you’ll further lower its vertical weapon kick, allowing you to shoot your enemies with greater accuracy. And with the 1.5x scope, you’ll be able to see your enemies well even at long range.

Shooting your enemies while hiding your weapon’s muzzle flash is a great way to prevent an effective counter fire, because it’ll take longer for them to pinpoint the exact spot where you’re shooting them from. The flash hider will also make sure that your screen will be clear while you’re shooting, because the muzzle flash of guns can sometimes blur the vision of the shooter, so removing it will ensure that you’ll always have a clear view of your targets.

The Super Shorty shotgun on the other hand is a great tool for creating rotation holes which are very important when it comes to making teamplays. It can also destroy hatches with just one shot, allowing Castle to go down a floor when he needs to escape an area and flank on the enemies.

Excels in:

  • Close to medium range
  • Recoil control
  • Compromising enemy locations

Build details:

  • UMP45 with Scope 1.5x, Flash Hider, And Vertical Grip
  • Super Shorty with Reflex B
  • Proximity Alarm

3. M104 with Reflex B + 5.7 USG with Suppressor + Bulletproof Camera

Intel on your enemies is always important in Siege

This loadout can also be used with the same strat that was mentioned in #5, only, with this loadout, you’ll be using a Bulletproof Camera to detect your enemies outside the Armor Panel instead of a Proximity Alarm. This loadout is great even with a more conventional defending approach because Castle’s role as an anchor is to secure the objective area, which means a lot of close-range encounters with enemies who are pushing.

When it comes to close-range, shotguns will always have the superiority, especially now that you can equip a reflex B sight on them. The suppressed 5.7 USG handgun is a great backup weapon for times when your shotgun needs to reload and you’re in the middle of a gun fight. You’ll also find its suppressor handy when you need to shoot Attacker drones, or when you’re flanking and need to shoot a claymore quietly to lessen the chance of enemies knowing about your approach.

Excels in:

  • Close range
  • Heavy damage
  • Enemy surveillance

Build details:

  • M104 with Reflex B
  • 5.7 USG with Suppressor
  • Bulletproof Camera

2. UMP45 with Scope 1.5x, Suppressor, and Vertical Grip + Super Shorty with Reflex B + Proximity Alarm

It's always hard to deal with an anchoring Defender whose gunshots don't have a directional threat indicator

The suppressor is a great attachment to use on guns like the UMP45 that doesn’t really need any more recoil control because their recoil is already very low to begin with. With the suppressor, you can shoot your enemies without giving them the directional threat indicator that tells them where your shots are coming from. It’ll also hide the muzzle flash, so unless they physically see you, they wouldn’t really know where you’re shooting them from.

This is a great loadout for Castle to use with kill holes while anchoring the objective site. This is the loadout that I usually use when defending Bank’s 2nd floor. With the Super Shorty shotgun you can create murder holes from the Conference Room overseeing the door of the Janitor Closet. And from the Front Desk area, you can create small kill holes using melee attacks that will allow you to see both the Conference Room and Janitor Closet.

With the tactic mentioned above, you’ll have double-layer murder holes, and especially with the suppressed UMP45, it’s almost a guarantee that the enemies that will try to push the Janitor Closet will have no idea which hole you’re shooting them from.

Excels in:

  • Stealth
  • Any range
  • Compromising enemy locations

Build details:

  • UMP45 with Scope 1.5x, Suppressor, and Vertical Grip
  • Super Shorty with Reflex B
  • Proximity Alarm

1. UMP45 with Scope 1.5x, Extended Barrel, and Vertical Grip + Super Shorty with Reflex B + Proximity Alarm

Inflict heavy damage from any distance

This is in #1 because there is no question that the best muzzle attachment for the UMP45 is the extended barrel, at least in most maps, and in most situations. With the extended barrel, you’ll be inflicting high damage to your enemies at any range because it reduces the range damage penalty by around 20%. And with the UMP45 not really needing any more recoil benefits, it’s best to take advantage of the damage benefits of the extended barrel instead.

This is the most balanced Castle loadout which will  excel at any range and in any playstyle. With the Proximity Alarms, it’ll be very hard for enemies to sneak behind your back and catch you by surprise. Proximity Alarms are also great for disrupting enemy rhythm, and the sound that they make can mask the noises that you and your teammates make. All the while, letting you know approximately where the enemy is.

Excels in:

  • Any range
  • High damage
  • Compromising enemy locations

Build details:

  • UMP45 with Scope 1.5x, Extended Barrel, and Vertical Grip
  • Super Shorty with Reflex B
  • Proximity Alarm
