[Top 5] LoL Best Xayah Builds That Destroy Enemies (Used By Pros)
Who dares to look at my chicken legs?

The ultimate bird lady. She's half human, half bird, but she's more bird than human. If you know what I mean. Her name is Xayah, and she is a marksman in the ADC role. Many people have tried to play her in other roles, but she performs poorly. Xayah requires assistance to survive the laning phase because she has mobility before reaching level 6. Xayah is a Vastayan race, and only a few of them remain today, as the others have either died or gone missing.

She only has one mission: to restore what is rightfullto her people. Because Xayah is a marksman, she excels at kiting and maintaining distance from melee champions. Because of her abilities and her kit, she excels at murdering multiple people at the same time. Xayah performs best when she is part of a group; she does not perform well alone.

She can also be transformed into a flash farmer thanks to her amazing wave clear, and if you're tired of playing the same build, Xayah is known for being very diverse in terms of item builds, abilities, and runes. I recommend watching a pro player named "Hena" if you want to play Xayah as well as possible. He is Korea's best Xayah player right now.

5. Good Standard

The goal of this build is to keep you at a safe distance, and it's intended for players who enjoy passive farming, at least until the late game. Because this build performs poorly in the early game, it's critical to play from a safe distance. This build is also very aggressive toward other enemy laners and is a lot of fun to play! When it comes to runes, you'll want as much sustain as possible, so pairing lethal tempo with inspiration is a fantastic choice. I'll go over every rune later.

This build also gives Xayah mobility because you can dash in any direction with your item "Galeforce." If you are close to an enemy while dashing, three little entities will fly out of your item and damage the enemy. Overall, this build is great if you're unsure where you want to go during the match or if you can't pinpoint the exact problem that needs to be solved. Sure, you may be lacking in some areas, but it's a great build to go with if you're not sure what to build. It's the most secure choice.

Use this build if:

  • You like to play from a safer distance.
  • You’re unsure of which build to go to during the match. It’s the safest option.
  • Gives Xayah an immobile champion a dash which is great for avoiding skill shots.

Runes:

Precision:

  • Lethal Tempo
  • Presence of Mind
  • Legend: Alacrity
  • Cut Down

Inspiration:

  • Biscuit Delivery
  • Cosmic insight

Abilities:

Level 1: Double Daggers

Level 2: Blade Caller

Level 3: Deadly Plumage

Level 4-5: Blade Caller

Level 6: Featherstorm

Level 7-8: Blade Caller

Level 9-10: Deadly Plumage

Level 11: Featherstorm

Level 12-13: Deadly Plumage

Level 14-15: Double Daggers

Level 16: Featherstorm

Level 17-18: Double Daggers

Analysis of abilities allocation:

Here you’ll be maxing out E “Bladecaller” first to maximize your damage output potential. This ability is also great at stopping enemies from charging at you since it’s also a root if 3 or more feathers pass through a target. Great against assassins or other champions that can go into the backline easier.

Items (they are sorted from early to late game):

Doran’s Blade, Health potion, Noonquiver, Pickaxe, Boots, Galeforce, Berserker’s Grieves, Rapid Firecannon, Infinity Edge, Navori Quickblades, and Lord Dominik’s Regards.

4. Burst Damage (VS Squishies)

Burst means dealing massive amounts of damage in a short period. That's what this build is about, and you shouldn't use it if your opponent's team is made up of tanky champions or if you can't properly snowball in the early game. The best thing about this build is that you can quickly obliterate supports and generate massive amounts of salt in the all-chat, possibly even some reports that won't do you much good because you didn't do anything wrong.

This build works best when paired with aggressive supports like Pyke or Blitzcrank, who can easily set up kills for you, allowing you to gain shekels and items faster. The best thing about this build is that you can pair it with items that provide lethality or critical damage, but you should prioritize lethality. They both complement the "Hail Of Blades" rune beautifully.

Aside from that, The main goal of this build is to get as many feathers out of Xayah's body as possible and recall them towards her to deal massive damage. As a result, you will concentrate on your champion's lethality. Because you're using a burst build, maxing out "Double Daggers" her Q seems like the best option. Remember not to be too passive on the lane, but also not too aggressive. If your opponent has a small health pool and poor armor, that's a signal to engage!

Use this build if:

  • The enemy team consists of squishes.
  • If you can be aggressive during the laning phase.
  • If your support is either Pyke or Blitzcrank who can set up kills easier.
  • If the enemy team only has 1 tank or 1-2 bruisers.

Runes:

Domination:

  • Hail of Blades
  • Taste of Blood
  • Eyeball Collection
  • Treasure Hunter

Precision:

  • Presence of Mind
  • Legend: Alacrity

Abilities:

Level 1: Double Daggers

Level 2: Blade Caller

Level 3: Deadly Plumage

Level 4-5: Double Daggers

Level 6: Featherstorm

Level 7-8: Double Daggers

Level 9-10: Blade Caller

Level 11: Featherstorm

Level 12-13: Blade Caller

Level 14-15: Deadly Plumage

Level 16: Featherstorm

Level 17-18: Deadly Plumage

Analysis of abilities allocation:

You’ll want to max out your Q “Double Daggers” and E “Bladecaller” first. Q “Double Daggers” first because you can activate “Hail Of Blades” easier thanks to the huge range from your Q ability and E “Bladecaller” so you can root the target after locking them in place. Your W “Deadly Plumage” gives you attack speed and extra feathers but because of the runes and items, you don’t need that much attack speed so you’ll max it out last.

Items (they are sorted from early to late game):

Long Sword, 3 Health Potions, Noonquiver, Dagger, Boots, Berserker’s Grieves, Pickaxe, Galeforce, Phantom Dancer, The Collector, Lord Dominik’s Regards, and Infinity Edge.

3. VS High Range Champions

This build, I believe, is self-explanatory, and it should only be used when playing against champions with a much larger attack range than you. This build is used to sustain yourself during the laning phase, preventing you from becoming redundant or useless later in the match. You're weak in the early game, just like the standard build, so you shouldn't try to snowball and prioritize farming. If you try to poke or trade with the enemy while using this build, you will lose.

Only trade with them if your support can pull off a play or if it won't cost you 80% of your HP. Prepare to take a lot of blows to the head from the enemy, who will not hold back when poking you. That's why you'll want to get a vampiric scepter as soon as possible. So even if they poke you, auto-attacking minions will heal you back to full health. In the late game, you'll become a formidable foe, difficult to kill, and a major headache to deal with.

Especially when combined with the ultimate ability that renders you untargetable for a few seconds. You might be able to get some kills on the lane depending on your support, but you shouldn't go out of your way to do so because this build isn't designed for overly aggressive snowballing. I also recommend putting some points into your Q “Double Daggers” because it allows you to safely poke the enemy or get the last hits from a safe distance.

Use this build if

  • You’re going up against an opponent who has more attack range than you do or can poke you from a distance.
  • You need to survive longer during team fights.
  • You need longer sustain during the laning phase so you can carry later.
  • The enemy assassin is constantly targeting you and eliminating you.

Runes:

Precision:

  • Lethal Tempo
  • Presence of Mind
  • Legend: Bloodline
  • Coup de Grace

Inspiration:

  • Biscuit Delivery
  • Cosmic Insight

Abilities:

Level 1: Double Daggers

Level 2: Deadly Plumage

Level 3: Blade Caller

Level 4-5: Double Daggers

Level 6: Featherstorm

Level 7-8: Double Daggers

Level 9-10: Deadly Plumage

Level 11: Featherstorm

Level 12-13: Deadly Plumage

Level 14-15: Blade Caller

Level 16: Featherstorm

Level 17-18: Blade Caller

Analysis of abilities allocation:

Maxing out Q “Double Daggers” first during the laning phase is great as it gives you poke potential without taking more damage. It’s also great for last-hitting minions if you can’t get up close and personal. Having your W “Deadly Plumage” maxed out second is great for having more attack speed than the enemy opponent so your damage output will be much higher than theirs and it might result in you getting a kill and surviving.

Items (they are sorted from early to late game):

Doran’s Blade, Health Potion, Vampiric Scepter, Boots, Galeforce, Berserker’s Grieves, Rapid Firecannon, Bloodthirster, and Guardian Angel.

2. VS AP Carries

AP carries are those who deal magical damage, for example, champions such as Akali, Ahri, Alistar, Amumu, Anivia, Ashe, etc. This build primarily focuses on adding new items to Xayah and adjusting the runes, making your champion more durable against AP champions. Some AP carries might be too much to handle in the early game, so it's important to play with competent support in your lane. If your support doesn’t understand that your whole lane will fail and fall apart easily.

Stack yourself with health potions and try to trade with your opponents, without getting too aggressive at the same time. You also might run into AP Twitch or AP Ashe which will be hard to deal with in the lane especially if they get some items you can counter them easily but not allow them to get those items. On the other hand, if you’re up against someone like Brand or Xerath you will have a huge problem on your hands.

It will be hard to counter them and even without items they are pretty strong be it support or APC. Thankfully you can always farm with your abilities or simply kill the minions under your turret. Play safe until you have the damage to kill them or they make a miss play. Try to focus on getting the right items first, don't be too overconfident in the early game, and if you get to the late game without too many deaths, you should be good!

Use this build if:

  • The enemy team consists of too many magicka boys.
  • If the enemy APC is one-shotting you even without items.
  • If you need to survive against AP damage during team fights.
  • If your support isn’t competent enough to protect you.

RUNES:

Precision:

  • Lethal Tempo
  • Presence of Mind
  • Legend: Bloodline
  • Coup De Grace

Inspiration:

  • Celerity
  • Gathering Storm

Abilities:

Level 1: Double Daggers

Level 2: Blade Caller

Level 3: Deadly Plumage

Level 4-5: Double Daggers

Level 6: Featherstorm

Level 7-8: Double Daggers

Level 9-10: Blade Caller

Level 11: Featherstorm

Level 12-13: Blade Caller

Level 14-15: Deadly Plumage

Level 16: Featherstorm

Level 17-18: Deadly Plumage

Analysis of abilities allocation:

Your Q “Double Daggers” and E “Bladecaller” are a priority in this build and it applies to opponents that specialize in dealing AP damage. Because of the huge range from your Q, you’re able to successfully poke them and pull those feathers back towards yourself for double the damage. Most of the AP champions that you’ll face having to come up close and personal to cast their abilities. Your W “Deadly Plumage” only gives you attack speed it’s great for farming under the turret if you have to.

Items (they are sorted from early to late game):

Long Sword, 3 Health Potions, Boots, Noonquiver, Pickaxe, Berserker’s Grieves, Kraken Slayer, Phantom Dancer, Maw Of Malmortious, Infinity Edge, and Mercuilar Scimitar.

1. Hypercarry/DPS Build

This build is solely focused on dealing as much damage as possible late in the game. It means you'll have to focus on farming for the majority of the game, engage in fights only when you're certain the outcome will benefit you, and try not to die. Xayah excels at pushing waves and quickly clearing jungle camps. You'll be ready to demolish the enemy team once you have at least three items. There are only a few champions who can face you and threaten you, but if the opposing team doesn't have any threats, they're screwed, and the match is in your hands!

This ability order prioritizes maxing out your E “Blade Caller” as soon as possible because it will be your bread and butter in the lane, ideal for clearing out waves, harassing, or even killing if the enemy isn't paying attention to your feathers. You will max out W "Deadly Plumage" second because it provides extra feathers and attack speed. Excellent in large team fights and especially for this build.

The ultimate "Featherstorm" is your last priority; it renders you invulnerable and deals massive damage; it can be used offensively or defensively depending on the situation. Remember that this build focuses on you farming until mid to late game to be useful and carry the team on your back. Don't force fights you can't win, and farm as much as possible in the early game.

Use this build if:

  • You don’t have anyone else on the team that can carry the late game.
  • There are multiple tanks or bruisers on the enemy team. You will shred through them with your feathers.
  • If you get your items quick enough and reach your full potential you can successfully 1v5 in a team fight.
  • If you simply like to deal loads of damage and tell everyone in All-Chat how good you are at video games.

Runes:

Precision:

  • Lethal Tempo
  • Presence of Mind
  • Legend: Alacrity
  • Cut Down

Sorcery:

  • Celerity
  • Gathering Storm

Abilities:

Level 1: Deadly Plumage

Level 2: Double Daggers

Level 3-5: Blade Caller

Level 6: Featherstorm

Level 7-8: Blade Caller

Level: 9-10: Deadly Plumage

Level 11: Featherstorm

Level 12-13: Deadly Plumage

Level 14-15: Double Daggers

Level 16: Featherstorm

Level 17-18: Double Daggers

Analysis of abilities allocation:

Here you’ll want to start with your W “Deadly Plumage” and max out your E “Bladecaller”. As I stated before with this build you’ll want to focus on farming the waves or jungle camps so being efficient as possible is the key. The faster you are at farming the quicker you can get your items to destroy the enemy team. Having E maxed out first gives you great benefits to pushing the lane as when you pull your feathers back it will shred through the minions or enemies for that matter. Your ultimate ability will come in handy during team fights as it makes you untargetable for a few seconds.

Items (they are sorted from early to late game):

Long Sword, Refillable Potion, Noonquiver, Pickaxe, Kraken Slayer, Berserker’s Grieves, Navori Quickblades, Phantom Dancer, Lord Dominik’s Regards, Infinity Edge/Bloodthirster (depending on the match).
