[Top 5] Genshin Impact Best 3 Star Polearms That Are Excellent

The thing with polearms in Genshin Impact is that there aren’t as many characters that use them as the rest of the weapons. Thus, there’re also fewer polearms to choose from when building characters. In this guide, we’ll show you other options you may have apart from the 4-star and 5-star weapons. With only three 3-star polearms, this guide also contains 1-star and 2-star weapons.

5. Beginner’s Protection

As its name implies, this weapon is the one that comes by defect when you get a new polearm wielder. In the middle or late game, it may not be the best option to deal quickly with enemies, but if you are starting with Genshin Impact it’s as good as any other. It doesn’t have the benefit of ascending or refining, but its basic ATK is nothing to scoff at.

What Makes This Polearm Great:

  • It’s free and comes when you receive a new polearm character.

4. Iron Point

Similar to the Beginner’s Protector, this polearm is one of the 2-star weapon set, available in treasures and missions in the early game. You can see its base ATK is higher than the last one, so it’s the better option. In the late game, you’ll have tons of them, but don’t throw them! You can use them to upgrade other weapons if you don’t have enough crystals.

What Makes This Polearm Great:

  • Can be used to upgrade other weapons.

3. Halberd

Now, onto the 3-star rated ones. The Halberd polearm is a fantastic weapon for DPS characters that use Normal Attacks better than skills: Raiden Shogun, for example. It increases ATK, which is a necessity for DPS, while also increasing Normal Attacks’ core damage. If you are interested in upgrading Ei’s burst DMG, this is one of the cheap weapons you can use.

What Makes This Polearm Great:

  • Normal Attacks deal an additional 160~320% DMG. Can only occur once every 10s.
  • Increases Attack

2. Black Tassel

Zhongli loves a good Black Tassel. Even more after refining. Not really because of the passive ability, though it’s funny enough, but because of the HP buff. Hu Tao and other characters also need high HP for their skills to have more effect: shields, buffs, bursts… That’s why a polearm that increases this necessary stat is a good option for these supports.

What Makes This Polearm Great:

  • Increases DMG against slimes by 40~80%.
  • Increases HP

1. White Tassel

Finally, in the first place, the White Tassel. Even though there’re lots of 4-star weapons, this polearm is one that I use a lot. One of the reasons is that I have tons of them and can refine them up to level 5 (and increase the Normal Attack DMG buff). But the main reason is that it’s useful for virtually every polearm user. From Xiao to Zhongli, everyone can shine through this White Tassel.

What Makes This Polearm Great:

  • Increases Normal Attack DMG by 24~48%.
  • Increases CRIT Rate

Even though there are very few polearm users, and thus very few polearms in general, the ones that exist right now are enough to satisfy players and their characters. There are polearms for beginners, polearms for supports, and polearms for DPS. There’re also 5-star polearms for rich people, but this guide is not for them. Have fun with the budget ones!
