Raiden Shogun is a very straightforward character. This refers both to her personality, wanting to stagnate in time her country so that it stays alive until eternity, and to her gameplay and building. In this guide, you’ll learn to build her as good as possible.

Like the other archons, she’s mainly a support character with huge burst DPS. In her case, she infuses her weapon with the Electro element, increasing her damage by leaps and bounds. 3. Tenacity of the Millelith Set

Choosing this build may seem like a strange option to a lot of people. And it is. This is a build that doesn’t increase Raiden’s capabilities as a DPS, like the other does, but increases her usefulness as a support.

Having a 4 piece set of the Tenacity of the Millelith increases the team’s attack by 20% while Raiden’s skill is active, even if she’s not on the field. This is a valuable build when Raiden is in a team with a shielder like Zhongli and/or a DPS like Ayaka.

What This Build Excels In:

• 1. Enabling: Although the second set is better for a supporting Raiden, the team’s attack increase is very welcomed. Moreover, her skill is one of the best passive skills in-game as of now.
• 2. Burst DPS: Even for a support Raiden, her burst will still deal tons of damage thanks to her Energy Recharge and the bursts used by the other characters.

2. Thundersoother Set

The second build we propose is also not one you see very often. The 2 piece set only increases your Electro resistance, so it may seem useless. However, the 4 piece set increases the damage dealt by all teammates by 35% if the enemies are affected by Electro.

Raiden’s elemental skill, as we said before, infuses the Electro element to enemies constantly even if another character is in the field. So the 4 piece effect will always be active while her skill is active; the same as with the third set.

What This Build Excels In:

• 1. Enabling: The passive Electro damage, together with the 35% increase in damage for everyone in the team make her one of the best supports for teams with Electro elemental reactions.
• 2. Burst DPS: As in last set, her burst will always deal tons of damage thanks to her Energy Recharge from her weapon, so you won’t need to worry about her numbers.

1. Emblem of Severed Fate Set

And now with the first, most used, and most useful set for Raiden Shogun. This set mainly focuses on increasing her Energy Recharge and her Elemental Burst Damage, making it easy for her to become a powerful Burst DPS.

Her Energy Recharge makes her very useful as a battery, also recharging her teammates bursts. Because her burst increases its damage with every burst used before hers, recharging and using the rest of the team bursts’ makes Raiden unstoppable.

What This Build Excels In:

• 1. Burst DPS: With this set, her elemental burst will have its damage increased up to 75% bonus. The Electro infused attacks also count as burst damage, so they will also deal more damage.
• 2. Enabling: Not only will she have her elemental skill applying damage and Electro even if not on field, for elemental reactions and so. Now, she will also be used as a powerful battery for everyone’s bursts.
