[Top 3] Genshin Impact Best Builds For Jean

Genshin Impact Best Builds For Jean
What does Jean lack of, really?

Monstadt’s Acting Grandmaster, Jean, always exceeds expectations in any way that you could possibly imagine. One of them is the fact that Jean can function almost as anything in your party.

You can use her as a main DPS, a healer, or a sub DPS and she will do the job well no matter what. It’s really up to you and how you play her character (and build her).

Gale Blade, her Elemental Skill, releases a small storm that launches enemies with massive Anemo DMG. If you opt to hold her Elemental Skill, Jean can command this storm to pull surrounding enemies towards her front as she aims.

On the other side, her Elemental Burst, Dandelion Breeze, creates a Dandelion Field which also launches surrounding enemies, dealing Anemo DMG. When this field is summoned, party members’ HP are healed at once. The number of HP regenerated is scaled to her ATK.

To top it off, the Dandelion Field will continuously regenerate HP for active characters within the field while imbuing them with an Anemo attribute. Enemies entering or exiting the field would suffer Anemo DMG, too.

Because Jean likes to overdo herself, her Ascension unlocks a Passive Talent that gives a 50% chance of regenerating HP equal to 15% of her ATK for all party members if she hits with Normal Attacks. This means she can heal your whole party as she attacks.

Well, here’s how you can build here so she’s even more awesome!

3.  Healer Build: Aquila Favonia – Gladiator’s Finale & Maiden Beloved

Jean makes a really great healer. Her healing power comes in a few ways and I feel like that’s already a green sign on how much of a good healer she is. To maximize her as a healer, we need Aquila Favonia along with Gladiator’s Finale and Maiden Beloved.

At first, Jean only heals through her Elemental Burst. But, after Ascension 1, she gets a 50% chance to heal everyone in the party for as much as 15% of her ATK as she hits enemies with Normal Attack.

The reason why Gladiator’s Finale is needed is because all of her healing ability scales to her ATK. As the 2-pieces set gives you a +18% ATK, Maiden Beloved will assist by increasing Healing done by 15%.

Aquila Favonia fits this role well because it increases ATK by 20-40%. In the case of taking DMG, the soul of the Falcon of the West will awaken and regenerate her HP equal to 100-160% of ATK and deal 200-320% of ATK as DMG to surrounding enemies. This can only occur once every 15 seconds.

On another note, you can also use Prototype Rancour (which you can get by crafting) if you want a replacement. This sword increases Base ATK and DEF by 4-6% for 6 seconds on hit done by Normal or Charged Attack. This can only occur once every 0.3s and can be stacked up to 4 times.

When you want to make the best of Jean as a healer, pushing her ATK is your best choice to call. Kinda ironic, if you think about it.

Why the Healer Build Is Great:

  • The set optimizes her ATK and Healing ability altogether
  • The replacement weapon is free to craft
  • The artifact sets are rather easier to farm

2.  Sub DPS Build: Skyward Blade – Gladiator’s Finale and Viridescent Venerer

To make the best out of her sub DPS role, Jean needs to be equipped with Skyward Blade along with Gladiator’s Finale and Viridescent Venerer. Though there’s another option, that's to be covered later.

Skyward Blade increases CRIT Rate by 4-8%. When using Elemental Burst, it will gain Skypiercing Might which would increase Movement SPD and ATK SPD by 10%, and increases the DMG done by Normal and Charged Attack by 20-40% for 12 seconds.

Gladiator’s Finale gives you a +18% ATK and Viridescent Venerer a 15% Anemo DMG Bonus; a very great pair for Jean because her ATK is the base of her Healing, and 15% Anemo DMG helps optimizing her Elemental DMG.

Though, you can also consider using the full set of Viridescent Venerer, which will increase Swirl DMG by 60% and decrease enemies’ Elemental RES by 40% to the element infused with the Swirl for 10 seconds.

Personally, I’d say it’d be better to mix Gladiator’s Finale and Viridescent Venerer because Jean’s ATK leads to her other skill (Healing). This is starting to get repetitive, I know, but it is her skill, after all.

For weapons, you can also use Favonius Sword as a replacement. The weapon gives you the effect in which CRIT hits have a 60-100% chance to generate 1 Elemental Orb. This can only occur once every 12-6 seconds.

Why the Sub DPS Build Is Great:

  • Jean’s Anemo DMG is boosted
  • By increasing her ATK, you automatically increase her Healing
  • The weapon secondary stat is Energy Recharge, which allow Elemental Burst gauge to fill faster

1. Main DPS Build: Aquila Favonia – Gladiator’s Finale

At the end, I think you’d realize this list is just full of Gladiator’s Finale. Oh, well, it is possibly her best suited artifact  set after all. To use her as a DPS, though, the full set is needed along with Aquila Favonia.

Using the full set of Gladiator’s Finale brings you an additional 18% ATK and another 35% of Normal Attack DMG because Jean is a Sword user. This also means her Healing ability is pushed whilst we’re trying to boosther ATK.

The Aquila Favonia is an amazing choice because its sub stat is Physical DMG Bonus. Along with it, there are such effects: ATK is increased by 20-40%; when taking DMG, the soul of the Falcon of the West awakens and regenerates HP equal to 100-160% ATK whilst dealing DMG for as much as 200-320% of ATK to surrounding enemies. This can only occur once every 15 seconds.

The Physical DMG Bonus is great because it obviously helps when you’re using her as a main DPS. On that note, it’s okay if you want to use only two-pieces set of Gladiator’s Finale along with another two of Bloostained Chivalry, which will give you a +25% Physical DMG.

In conclusion, the combination of Aquila Favonia and Gladiator’s Finale is just to boost her ATK to the fullest.

Why the Main DPS Build Is Great:

  • Both the weapon and the sets boost her ATK
  • If you opt to use Bloodstained Chivalry, it will push her Physical DMG, too
  • Gladiator’s Finale rather easy to farm, too
