Lots of objects to choose from...

Well, it’s time we change topics for a bit. We’ll take a rest on ranking characters and, instead, we’ll rank items this time. That’s right. Genshin Impact doesn’t place much importance on its items. However, they can be really useful.

In this guide, we’ll rank 15 items in a somewhat ambiguous manner. Why is that? Well, because each item has different functions. Some are really useful in exploring specific events. Some are used just for fun. And others are powerful in battle as well.

15. Mini Seelie

We all know about Seelies. Those ghost-like flames lead you to treasure in the open world. Well, this mini Seelie just flies above your shoulder when equipped, making your travels more fun. This Lyre can be bought during the yearly Windblume Festival, in Mondstadt. If you missed the event, you can also buy it from Marjorie for Mora. What does it do? Well, it allows you to play music. It may seem simple, but some people who are PROS at playing this Lyre. And don’t forget! You’ll need this Lyre to complete some events at the Windblume Festival.

This Launch Tube is similar to the Lyre. It was given at the yearly Lantern Festival, on Liyue. 12. Kamera

Even if it has a “k” instead of a “c” everyone can guess what this gadget is for. Created in Sumeru, the country of scholars, this Kamera can print photos and save them on your device in an instant. You should get it quickly because some events or quests must unexpectedly ask you for specific photos. For that, just complete the World Quest “Snapshots”.

11. Fishing rod

I think there’s not much I have to explain about this one. In Genshin Impact you can get various fishing rods, which are used, well, to fish. They can be free, like the one in the quest “Exploding Population”, or bought from different fishermen. Each type of rod and each type of bait allows for fishing a different species, so take that into account.

  • Can catch fish for trading
  • Can catch fish for furnishing
  • Gives some achievements

10. Omni-Ubiquity Net

This net’s function is to catch animals like they were Pokemon. Then, you’ll (somehow) have them in your inventory as furnishing for your Pot. Although cool, these nets are difficult to get: only 5 per week. So remember to go each week to Inazuma to find Wakamurasaki. Moreover, remember that not every being can be captured, so don’t try to capture an Oceanid.

Why This Item Is Great:

  • Can get your animals to put in your Pot
  • Can be used to catch Tanukis!

9. Oculus Resonance Stone

There’s Anemoculus Resonance Stone, Geoculus Resonance Stone, and so on. For each region and each Oculus, there’s a new type of Resonance Stone. Why? Because they’re used to locate these Oculi in their respective regions. At first, it may not seem useful, but when you have 299 of 300 oculi you may want to use this shortcut.

Why This Item Is Great:

  • Can locate Oculi in any region
  • Can be created in the forge
  • Very helpful when upgrading statues

8. Treasure Compass

There’s an Anemo Treasure Compass, a Geo Treasure Compass, and so on. Sounds familiar? That’s because it is. Its function and place to get are the same as the Resonance stone. However, instead of oculi, they show where Treasure Chests are. Moreover, they have an advantage: they’re not a single-use item like the Stone.

Why This Item Is Great:

  • Useful for finding chests and gaining materials
  • Useful for completing 100% of the region
  • Can be created in a forge
  • Not single-use

7. Red Feather Fan

Obtained by reaching Reputation Level 5 in Inazuma (easy by the way), you can equip this Red Feather Fan to increase your Gliding Movement Speed by 30% for 30 seconds. Inspired by the Tengu fans, this gadget is useful both for exploring and for gliding events. In these events, you have to glide through long distances while catching coins. And this fan is perfect to beat records!

Why This Item Is Great:

  • Increases your Gliding Movement Speed
  • Free to get with Reputation Level 5

6. Lumenstone Adjuvant

A recent one is this. You can get this artifact by following the quest “Charm Spelunkers”. Thanks to this shining stone, you’ll be able to explore the latest zone included in the game: The Chasm. Although the surface can be explored without this light, the underground mines with all the quests and enemies can’t. It can also be improved up to level 6 and you can even get rewards for it.

Why This Item Is Great:

  • Necessary for exploring the Chasm’s Underground Mines.
  • Improving it gives rewards
  • Free and easy to enhance

Item details: https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Lumenstone_Adjuvant

5. Peculiar Pinion

Another item necessary both for exploring and for completing a World Quest. In this case, it can be used in Tsurumi Island, the place where Octave of the Maushiro Quest is given and takes place. This feather of the legendary bird is mainly used to complete puzzles. However, another sad use is to see the ghosts of the people who died on this island.

Why This Item Is Great:

  • Necessary for exploring Tsurumi Island
  • Used in puzzles
  • Can help see past events

Item details: https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Peculiar_Pinion

4. Memento Lens

Similar to the two before it, the Memento Lens is given during the Sakura Cleansing Ritual World Quest. In this (really long) quest you have to use these Lens many times. More often than not, they’ll serve you to see the ghost of the past maidens and discover how to purify the Sakura Tree. After that quest, you can still use the Memento Lens in other Kitsune Statues to get chest and rewards.

Why This Item Is Great:

  • Necessary for completing the Sakura Cleansing Ritual World Quest
  • Can be used while exploring Inazuma to get chests and rewards

Item details: https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Memento_Lens

3. Parametric Transformer

Now in the top 3, we’ll find the three most used gadgets in the game. The first is the Parametric Transformer. It may have happened to you that you have lots of edible items that you don’t need, for example. Well, then, just use this Transformer to convert them into experience, materials, or even Mora! Although it seems almost miraculous, you can only use it once a week, so be careful to not forget. To get it, just complete the Tianqiu Treasure Trail Quest.

Why This Item Is Great:

  • Can convert unused items to experience, mora, or materials
  • Can be used once every week
  • Easy to get

Item details: https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Parametric_Transformer

2. NRE (Menu 30)

I was really really glad when they introduced that bag. Its amazing properties allow you to give your characters their food while they’re still fighting, and it knows exactly when you need HP food or revival food. For your information, I usually have Fried Eggs and Universal Peace active with the NRE. If you also like it, just go to the forge!

Why This Item Is Great:

  • Can give your characters food without opening your bag
  • Knows when you need revival or HP food
  • You can change the food at any time from your bag
  • Can be forged easily

Item details: https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/NRE_(Menu_30)

1. Serenitea Pot

And now, finally, the first place. The Serenitea Pot. The item that made the game a half RPG half simulation game. It is an Adepti invention, given to you in a quest from madame Ping. Similar to their own abodes, this teapot is bigger on the inside, made of various floating islands where you can build houses, windmills, temples, and whatever you desire. With the required materials, that is.

Why This Item Is Great:

  • Lets you create your own space with tons of furnishings
  • If you introduce characters you can increase your friendship with them
  • If you put those characters in their favourite rooms you may even receive rewards

Item details: https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Serenitea_Pot

After seeing the quantity and variety of the items Genshin Impact has to offer, it seems we don’t talk enough about them. The usefulness of the Serenitie pot for rewards and friendship, or the different materials that can be used for the NRE bag. Even so, we hope that this guide has helped you understand just how many amazing items there are and, of course, how to get them.
