[Top 15] Genshin Impact Best Food That Are Excellent

Always have food in your inventory!

In any RPG being able to cook is a must. Together with other exploration activities, like fishing or foraging, cooking immerses you in the world of the game. Plus, it’s fun. That’s why today we’re going to talk about cooking in Genshin Impact.

Genshin offers us lots of dishes to try, all of them with different characteristics and recipes. In this guide, we’ll show you which are the best foods in the game, why, and how to get them.

15. Goulash

The first dish we’re presenting is the Goulash. This spicy and hot combination of meat and vegetables can stop your character’s temperature from going down. This is helpful on DragonSpine, where the Sheer Cold Status affects you if you’re far from a fire.

What Is Great For:

  • Decreasing the Sheer Cold bar

Stats:

  • Decrease the rate of Sheer Cold accumulation for 900 seconds.

How To Get:

  • Recipe: Complete the Ah, Fresh Meat quest (Dragonspine).
  • Ingredients: 2x Chilled Meat, 2x Carrot, 1x Tomato

14. Golden Crab

Next, we present the Golden Crab. Instead of cancelling status, this dish increases your team’s stats. Which stats? Defense and Healing Bonus. This can be useful both for tanky characters that need DEF, like Noelle or Itto, or healers that need the bonus, like Qiqi or Jean.

What Is Great For:

  • Increasing Defense Stat
  • Increasing Healing Bonus Stat

Stats:

  • Increase DEF by 308 and healing effects by 10% for 300 seconds.

How To Get:

  • Recipe: Complete Mona’s story quest (requires Adventure Rank 38)
  • Ingredients: 5x Bird Egg, 5x Flour, 4x Crab, 2x Salt

13. Tianshu Meat

Those are not the only stats that can be increased through food. This sugary meat dish can increase your Physical Damage Bonus, plus your Critical Rate. Physical DPS like Eula, Xinyan, or Razor will benefit a ton from eating Tianshu Meat.

What Is Great For:

  • Increasing Physical Damage Bonus
  • Increasing Critical Rate Stat

Stats:

  • Increase Physical DMG by 45% and CRIT Rate by 10% for 300 seconds.

  • Recipe: Reach reputation level 7 in Liyue
  • Ingredients: 4x Raw Meat, 2x Sugar, 1x Qingxin, 1x Matsutake

12. Sweet Madame

As in every RPG, eating food is mainly done to recover health. The Sweet Madame is a dish that allows you to do exactly that. Being available from the start, this recipe will be helpful to new adventures whose healers aren’t exactly the best.

What Is Great For:

  • Healing

Stats:

  • Restore 24% of max HP and an additional 1500 HP.

How To Get:

  • Recipe: Available from the start
  • Ingredients: 2x Fowl, 2x Sweet Flower

11. Sticky Honey Roast

Other types of food decrease the cost of some actions. In this case, the Sticky Honey Roast decreases your characters’ stamina consumption when climbing mountains and when running. For exploration time, where you’re always running around, this dish can help you a lot.

What Is Great For:

  • Decreasing climbing stamina cost
  • Decreasing sprinting stamina cost

Stats:

  • Decrease stamina consumption for climbing and sprinting by 25% for 900 seconds.

  • Ingredients: 3x Raw Meat, 2x Carrot, 2x Sugar

10. Moon Pie

Moon Pie is another dish that increases DEF. However, in this case, it doesn’t increase Healing Bonus, but Shield Strength. In cases like Zhongli, it’s a fantastic option, and in cases like Noelle, (where she even benefits from her damage) it’s even better.

What Is Great For:

  • Increasing shield strength
  • Increasing Defense Stat

Stats:

  • Increase shield strength by 35% and DEF by 235 for 300 seconds.

9. Jade Parcels

Ingredients in Genshin Impact sometimes can be difficult to get, that’s why it’s good to have many dishes that increase the same stat. In this case, Critical Rate is also increased. However, this also increases ATK, increasing the overall damage for every character.

What Is Great For:

  • Increasing Attack Stat
  • Increasing Critical Rate Stat

Stats:

  • Increase ATK by 320 and CRIT rate by 10% for 300 seconds.

  • Ingredients: 3x Lotus Head, 2x Jueyun Chili, 2x Cabbage, 1x Ham

8. Fullmoon Egg

This is all good, but my character doesn’t need stats or health if they’re dead. It’s okay, there’s a solution for you: revival food. One of them is the Fullmoon Egg, which revives characters with 1500 HP.

What Is Great For:

  • Reviving
  • Healing

Stats:

  • Revive a character with 1500 HP.

  • Ingredients: 4x Fish, 2x Shrimp Meat, 2x Bird Egg, 1x Flour

7. Universal Peace

This is one that I use a lot. That’s because of the 34% of health it restores. Moreover, the ingredients are really easy to get. Rice can be bought in shops, and lotus heads and carrots can be gotten even from daily explorations.

What Is Great For:

  • Healing

Stats:

  • Restore 34% of max HP and an additional 1900 HP.

6. Barbatos Ratatouille

Barbatos Ratatouille, a dish from Mondstadt (obviously) can also decrease the stamina consumption of determined actions. In this case, being Barbatos the God of Wind, of course it’ll decrease gliding consumption. And well, while he’s at it, sprinting as well.

5. Five Pickled Treasures

I said there’s stamina-related food that can decrease stamina consumption. Well, if after eating one of those, your stamina is on its limits and you’ve yet to arrive at the top of the mountain, eat Five Pickled Treasures. With this boost of stamina, you’ll get anywhere.

What Is Great For:

4. Chili-Minced Cornbread

First, this dish presentation is REALLY cute. Second, Gouba helped cook it so you have to try it. And third, the boost on your Defense Stat and shield strength is amazing. I think these three are reasons enough to give it to your team.

  • Increasing shield strength
  • Increasing Defense Stat

3. Golden Shrimp Balls

We’re finally in the top 3. The bronze medal then goes for the Golden Shrimp Balls, a revival-type food. Although a bit difficult to make, these are the best for reviving characters in the game. Every update there’s a new food, so maybe they’ll be beaten.

  • Revive a character with 1500 HP.

How To Get:

  • Recipe: Reach reputation level 1 in Liyue.

2. Mondstadt Hash Brown

In the second place the silver goes to the Mondstadt Hash Brown. This dish heals your characters more than a third of their HP while being really easy to make. It’s true Jam is an ingredient that needs to be created before, but it’s delicious so…

1. Adeptus’ Temptation

Finally, we get to the top. The first place is for the Adeptus’ Temptation, the first 5-star dish. This is not only 5-star because of its lore, but because of its effects as well. This dish doesn’t need an explanation, eat one before a boss battle and you’ll see what I mean.

  • Increasing Attack Stat
  • Increasing Critical Rate Stat

Stats:

  • Increase ATK by 372 and CRIT rate by 12% for 300 seconds.

The goal of this guide was to show you which are the best foods in Genshin Impact. Although I’ve gotten hungry in the process, I hope you’ve learnt that food is really helpful in this game and that there are lots of effects so you should pay attention to them. Who knows? Maybe this will make you start cooking in real life as well!
