While people spend thousands of bells decorating and expanding the interiors of their houses, the exterior is just as important. In the early years of the franchise, the only differences in appearance were the roof color and the house size. Now there are millions of housing combinations available using New Horizons’ customization feature. Here is a list of the ten best house exteriors designed by players.

10. Cream Speed Build

This Youtuber, Dreams of New Horizons, created an exterior that focuses on cream tones. She erected a tent and placed it in front of a mobile home she designed. Lots of trees surround the mobile home and her main house.

The larger house has pale, white siding with a brown roof. A wheelbarrow full of flowers rests next to the red mailbox.

9. Siana Crossing’s Speed Build

When Siana decided to complete a speed build, she admitted that she had no idea of what she was doing. However, her finished design is worthy of note.

The two dominant colors in her house’s exterior are white and grey. Mushroom lamps and cobblestone pavements line the area within the wooden fence. Siana’s exterior is similar to something pulled from Middle Earth.

8. Toffee Forestcore

Toffee built a forest exterior that surpasses Siana’s. This exterior has more natural elements like tree stumps and orange flowers collecting within a bush. 

The house itself has a variety of brown colors that blend well with the forest setting. A bag of seeds lies across from a picnic blanket with lots of treats to enjoy while taking in the forest.

7. WildRainTV’s Speed Build

This exterior succeeds by focusing on simplicity. There is a bridge that links the house with what lies beyond. White roses and green bushes line the river. A single book rests atop a stool.

6. Rose Wood’s Speed Build

What is presented here is a spectacular arrangement for those who love fishing. A fishing pole lies next to a stool for when somebody wants to catch a bluegill. 

The house itself is a wonderful exercise in symmetry. The street lights, fencing, and door lights are symmetrical to one another. It adds a great sense of beauty to the layout.

5. Lauren Plays’ Pink Palm Tree Speed Build

While Lauren demonstrates mastery of space in this video, the best exterior shown is the one with the neon pink palm trees. A stone wall wraps around the front yard as a red couch and plastic trees serve as decorations. The energetic reds and pinks make a great contrast to the grey wall and pavement.

4. Dual Waterfall Exterior

This is another build created by the WildRainTV channel. While Raina worked on the previous house, Wilde designed this dual waterfall exterior.

He used terraforming to create a waterfall with two tiers. A suspension bridge unites the two halves separated by the waterfalls. Green dandelions are a nice touch.

3. Elegant Castle Exterior

Goldyplays created a wonderful castle with a garden to boot. She placed silos on the back ends of the house to make it look larger than it is. Green hedges surround the white pavement leading up to the house.

Purple flowers in bushes lead up to a Venus de Milo statue. This and the castle are the centerpieces.

2. Crizzy Mansion

Crizzy designed a house using an array of items that matched the color of her house. Their combination gives the impression of a luxurious mansion.

Beyond the mansion, there are two apple trees lined with flowers and shaded brick pavements. Benches and a fountain complement the mansion’s grandeur. 

1. Miss Acnh’s Pool Patio

While this house isn’t grand in size, it wins the number one spot for its sheer beauty. The house is a simple shade of blue and has a rocking chair to the left of the door. 

Around the house is a patio created with couches and custom patterns. A pool with chairs sits parallel to the patio.
