[Top 5] Rainbow 6 Siege Best Tachanka Loadouts That Are Excellent

Top 5 Best Tachanka Loadouts in R6 Siege
The five best loadout setups for one of the best area-denial operators in Rainbow Six Siege’s Year 8 Season 2.1

Tachanka has received a massive buff on his 9x19VSN submachine gun with the addition of the scopes 1.5x and 2.0x, so now, most players are switching to it instead of his unique light machine gun, the DP27. This guide delves deeper into Tachanka’s updated loadout options and why certain setups would benefit the player depending on the situation.

While the addition of the scopes 1.5x and 2.0x is a massive boost for the 9x19VSN, it doesn’t mean that players should just ignore the DP27 LMG all the time, especially since it’s still one of the best unique weapons in the game, and would benefit the defending team more, depending on the situation.

5. 9x19VSN with Scope 2.0x, Suppressor, and Vertical Grip + PMM with Muzzle Brake and Laser + Proximity Alarm

This loadout setup is in the last of the list because the suppressor, despite how much I love using it with other operators, doesn’t really benefit Tachanka that much. The main advantage of using the suppressor on the 9x19VSN is that it hides its muzzle flash and directional threat indicator. It also greatly silences its gunshots, so all in all, it makes it harder for enemies to know where you are. The thing about Tachanka though is that most of the time, the attackers will have a good idea where he is, because he would mostly be spewing fire grenades from his Shumikha Launcher.

Obviously, the attackers will be able to see the direction from which he’s shooting his fire grenades, essentially giving away his location. That doesn’t mean, however, that this loadout is trash. Far from it actually, because there’s still a lot of merit to shooting without giving your opponents a directional threat indicator of where you’re shooting from. Although most of the time, the attackers will have a good idea or an educated guess as to where Tachanka is, the suppressor on his 9x19VSN would still make it a bit harder for them to ascertain his location.

Excels in:

  • Making it harder for enemies to know where Tachanka is, because the suppressor on the 9x19VSN will hide its muzzle flash and directional threat indicator
  • The suppressor on the 9x19VSN submachine gun will greatly silence the weapon’s gunshots, making it even harder for enemies to know where Tachanka is
  • The scope 2.0x is a new addition to Tachanka’s 9x19VSN and it’s great for targeting opponents as it will allow the user to see their opponents well
  • The vertical grip attachment on Tachanka’s 9x19VSN will provide the user with a good amount of recoil control
  • The proximity alarm as Tachanka’s generic gadget will be great for guarding flanking sites and ensuring that the defenders won’t be caught off guard
  • The muzzle brake on the PMM handgun will greatly lower its recoil and the laser attachment will make its hip fire spread a lot tighter

Build Details:

  • 9x19VSN with Scope 2.0x, Suppressor, and Vertical Grip
  • PMM with Muzzle Brake and Laser
  • Proximity Alarm

4. 9x19VSN with Scope 2.0x, Flash Hider, and Angled Grip + Bearing 9 with Red Dot A and Flash Hider + Barbed Wire

This is a very solid loadout setup for Tachanka players who play aggressively and excel at flick shots. That’s because the angled grip on the 9x19VSN submachine gun will allow them to go into aim-down-sights stance faster than normal. That’s great for sudden enemy engagements because that’ll allow the player to aim at the enemy faster. But it’s not only great for sudden enemy encounters, it’s also great for Tachanka’s usual gameplay of having to shoot fire grenades from his Shumikha Launcher most of the time.

That’s because if he needs to engage an enemy right after using the Shumikha Launcher, the 9x19VSN with the angled grip will allow him to do it faster. And since the angled grip doesn’t add any recoil control benefits, it’s important to equip one that does on its barrel, and that would be the flash hider. The flash hider barrel attachment greatly lowers the weapon’s vertical weapon kick, and as its name implies, it hides its muzzle flash. For the generic gadget, the user will have the barbed wires which is a great partner to the Shumikha Launcher as it slows enemies down.

Excels in:

  • The angled grip on the 9x19VSN will allow Tachanka to go into aim-down-sights faster than normal and that’s important especially when coming off from using his Shumikha Launcher
  • The flash hider barrel attachment on Tachanka’s 9x19VSN will provide the recoil control benefits in this loadout setup and will allow the user to handle the weapon’s recoil
  • The scope 2.0x on Tachanka’s 9x19VSN will allow him to see enemies bigger on his screen and that will really help with his accuracy
  • The bearing 9 machine pistol as Tachanka’s secondary weapon allows him to fire another fully automatic weapon when his primary needs to be reloaded
  • The barbed wires are great for slowing enemies down and they’re also great early warning devices because they make a lot of noise when enemies try to destroy them

Build Details:

  • 9x19VSN with Scope 2.0x, Flash Hider, and Angled Grip
  • Bearing 9 with Red Dot A and Flash Hider
  • Barbed Wire

3. DP27 with Red Dot A + Bearing 9 with Red Dot A and Flash Hider + Barbed Wire

The DP27 light machine gun, Tachanka’s unique weapon, has been dethroned as his best weapon due to the fact that the devs added the scopes 1.5x and 2.0x to his 9x19VSN submachine gun, and to be able to use those scopes simply brings in more advantages compared to the DP27 being limited to 1.0x sights. However, that doesn’t mean that Tachanka players should only always go for the 9x19VSN now when choosing their primary weapon. Because there are still situations where the DP27 light machine gun would be a better weapon than the 9x19VSN.

One of those situations is when the other defending team members don't have utilities for reworking the map. For cases like that, the DP27 would be extremely handy since its destruction rate per shot is very high. In fact, it probably is the most destructive fully automatic weapon in the game. With the DP27, the player can easily create rotation holes, lines of sight, as well as destroy unreinforced hatches. As for the bearing 9 machine pistol as Tachanka’s secondary weapon, it’s a great alternative weapon for when the DP27 needs to be reloaded, especially since the reload time of the DP27 can be quite long.

Excels in:

  • Having a weapon with heavy firepower and high destruction rate per shot in the DP27 light machine gun which is excellent not just for killing enemies but also for reworking the map
  • Having a powerful fully automatic weapon in the bearing 9 as an alternative for when the DP27 needs to be reloaded in the middle of combat
  • Guarding flanking spots with the barbed wires which acts as early warning devices because of the noise they make when enemies try to destroy them. They can also greatly slow enemies down
  • The red dot A 1.0x sight on Tachanka’s DP27 light machine gun will greatly help the player when it comes to accuracy due to its simple center dot reticle
  • The bearing 9 machine pistol in this loadout setup will have the best recoil possible due to the flash hider barrel attachment

Build Details:

  • DP27 with Red Dot A
  • Bearing 9 with Red Dot A and Flash Hider
  • Barbed Wire

2. 9x19VSN with Scope 2.0x, Compensator, and Vertical Grip + Bearing 9 with Red Dot A and Flash Hider + Deployable Shield

This loadout setup is for players who prefer to have the best recoil possible with their weapons. The main problem with the 9x19VSN’s weapon kick is that it tends to veer horizontally after the fourth shot, but with the compensator, this problem will be eliminated. That’s because the compensator greatly reduces the horizontal recoil of weapons, especially now that it’s been buffed. It does that by reducing the recoil diamond size of weapons, thus, not just reducing the horizontal recoil of weapons, but also the random recoil from all directions.

As one could see from all the recoil tests for the 9x19VSN, this loadout setup offers the best stability when shooting it in long sprays. This is very helpful when trying to frag enemies at medium to long-range since at those distances, they’ll appear smaller on the player’s screen. The compensator really makes the 9x19VSN a formidable weapon for long-range shooting, especially now that it can be equipped with a scope 2.0x. And while the compensator will greatly reduce the weapon’s horizontal recoil, the vertical grip will be the attachment that’ll handle its vertical kick.

Excels in:

  • Provides Tachanka with a much more stable firing experience with his 9x19VSN because the compensator barrel attachment will greatly reduce its horizontal recoil
  • Since the compensator reduces the recoil diamond size of weapons, it’ll not just reduce horizontal recoil, it’ll also reduce random recoil from all directions
  • The vertical grip attachment on the 9x19VSN submachine gun will further improve the weapon’s recoil by greatly lowering its vertical weapon kick
  • The scope 2.0x will allow Tachanka to see his enemies well even at long-range and with that, he’ll be able to target them with deadly accuracy
  • The bearing 9 is a great secondary weapon for Tachanka since it’s another fully automatic weapon in his arsenal that is basically like a mini primary weapon
  • The deployable shield generic gadget is excellent for holding angles especially now that it’s been buffed with slits that allows the player to see enemies while crouching behind it

Build Details:

  • 9x19VSN with Scope 2.0x, Compensator, and Vertical Grip
  • Bearing 9 with Red Dot A and Flash Hider
  • Deployable Shield

1. 9x19VSN with Scope 2.0x, Extended Barrel, and Vertical Grip + Bearing 9 with Red Dot A and Flash Hider + Deployable Shield

This loadout setup will provide Tachanka with the best damage possible on his 9x19VSN submachine gun, and considering Tachanka’s gameplay and role, this one makes the most sense for him, and that’s why it’s at number one. That’s because, as mentioned before, Tachanka isn’t really a stealth operator. He’d usually have to fire his Shumikha Launcher, and the fire trail from his fire grenades can give enemies a good idea where he’s positioned. So if that’s the case, he might as well go for the setup that brings in the most damage, and this is it.

And that’s because of the extended barrel on the 9x19VSN. It has recently been buffed and now adds 12% damage to weapons. Not only that, the extended barrel retains its previous benefit of extending the effective range of weapons by greatly reducing their range damage drop off. So with this setup, the player ensures that they’ll be inflicting the best damage possible, regardless of range. Of course, since the extended barrel doesn’t provide additional recoil control benefits, it’s important to pair it with a vertical grip. That way, the user will have great balance between damage and recoil control benefits.

Excels in:

  • Inflicting as much damage to enemies as possible, because the extended barrel basically extends the effective range of weapons by reducing their range damage drop-off
  • Inflicting high stopping power from the 9x19VSN because the extended barrel now adds 12% damage to weapons due to a recent buff
  • Maintaining a good amount of vertical recoil control on the 9x19VSN due to the presence of the vertical grip attachment
  • Providing Tachanka with a high level of zoom through the scope 2.0x which he can use to target his enemies with great accuracy while also not losing out that much in terms of peripheral view
  • Having the best recoil control possible on the bearing 9 machine pistol which is a great secondary weapon for Tachanka when his primary needs to be reloaded
  • The deployable shield as Tachanka’s generic gadget is a great partner for his Shumikha Launcher because it will allow him to hold an angle much more effectively

Build Details:

  • 9x19VSN with Scope 2.0x, Extended Barrel, and Vertical Grip
  • Bearing 9 with Red Dot A and Flash Hider
  • Deployable Shield
