Siege has been around for six years and I must say, contrary to popular belief, the game is actually pretty  balanced. At least compared to most other games that feature kind of the same mechanics. They’re heavily inspired by Siege anyway. But let’s face it, the game will never be perfectly balanced, and that is why we have operators whose pick rates have always been high. But just because an operator has a high pick rate doesn’t mean he or she is overpowered, because there are some who are not that popular, but if you think about it, they’re pretty OP.

10. Glaz

Don’t sleep on the OG Siege sniper

Now I would have placed my main on a higher spot but it is true that due to the massive nerf on his thermal, he’s only really powerful on certain maps, like Coastline and Villa. Because of that, we rarely see him get picked in ranked, at least in gold and above. But when you main him and you know the sweet spots in the map, Glaz can still make the difference in a match. Because of his thermal scope, he remains the easiest operator to get a headshot with, and from long distance at that. His sniping abilities also makes defenders very wary of windows, and this limits their movements, and that’s a big plus for Glaz’s team.

9. Fuze

Earthquake? Nah, it’s just Fuze.

There’s no one else in Siege that can provide as much destruction and distraction as Fuze does. His cluster charges are sometimes even more effective than Thatcher’s EMP when it comes to destroying defender gadgets. That is one of the reasons why he’s on the OP list, but it’s not just that. He can also use his cluster charges to flush out defenders from their hiding spots and lead them to his or his teammate’s line of sight.

8. Ash

You know it’s on once you hear her breaching rounds

To many defenders, hearing Ash’s breaching rounds explode in the distance is like an ominous sound. That means they have to deal with this fast moving, hard to hit, and heavy fire powered attacker again, and most likely lose. Ubisoft is also upgrading her R4C’s recoil for operation High Calibre. And that will make her even more OP since the R4C’s recoil was already great in the first place. Ash mains are probably still mourning the loss of her acog, but seriously, acog or no acog, there’s a reason why Ash has maintained her high pick rate through all these years.

7. Jackal

In R6, intel is king.

Jackal’s ability to track defenders, especially roamers, and inform his whole team of their location is one of the most OP abilities in Siege. With a coordinated team, Jackal can practically disable the enemy team’s roamer so that they only need to worry about penetrating the objective area and kill those who are anchoring. If there’s no roamer or flanker to worry about, you can attack with ease and implement your strats almost unimpeded.

6. Dokkaebi

The scalpel in Team Rainbow is as sharp as ever

One of the best intel gatherers in Siege. Her ability to hack defender phones and call them through her Logic Bomb is one of the most powerful abilities in Siege, because it doesn’t only compromise defenders’ locations, it does a really good job of distracting them as well. Imagine you’re a defender and you’re attempting to turn off your phone but suddenly an Amaru comes through the window or an Ash comes rushing in for the kill. Chances are, it’ll be too late for you to react. The Logic Bomb also serves to mask the footsteps and gadget sounds of Dokkaebi’s team, making it perfect for a rush or even a conventional attack.

5. Iana

Watch where you’re looking

Speaking of intel gathering, droning is an integral part of attacking in Siege, and Iana virtually has unlimited drones through Gemini Replicators which sends out a holographic copy of herself that is able to move almost exactly as the original. The only things it can’t do is rappel or shoot, but it is the most effective way to scout ahead and gather intel on enemy positions. What makes her even more OP are the loadouts available to her, especially her frag grenades. Knowing where your enemies are and where to throw your frag grenades is a really powerful ability.

4. Gridlock

Specializing in locking down areas

Her area denying capability is one of the most powerful abilities in Siege, which is why her low pick rate is quite surprising. It’s very hard to stop a push from a team with a Gridlock, because through her Trax stingers, she can practically make enemy roamers useless, or if the defending roamer has already been taken out, she can use them to create choke points and deny effective spots to the enemy. Spots that would have been troublesome for attackers when planting the bomb. The availability of the smoke bomb on her loadouts as well as powerful guns like the F90 and M249 Saw really complements her teamplay making abilities.

3. Zofia

Her offensive prowess is terrifying

If there’s an operator that I don’t want to encounter 1 v 1 when I’m roaming, it’s Zofia. Her armor and speed rating are balanced, making her an overall solid operator, but what truly makes her terrifying is her firepower. Her guns, the LMG-E and the M762 are two of the most powerful guns in Siege, and they are unique only to her. It's really her primary guns that are like her special gadgets, and the KS79 Lifeline which can fire two impact grenades and two concussion grenades only serves to complement her already powerful loadouts. Plus, she has a claymore which can protect her six from roamers.

2. Flores

Not only does this guy have a criminal history. His special gadget is basically something a terrorist would have, lol.

Four exploding drones that have the same power as nitro cells. That’s what Flores has in his arsenal. What makes him truly OP is the many ways you can use those exploding drones to your advantage. His exploding drones can destroy unreinforced walls and castle barricades. But what’s truly frightening is its ability to flush out defenders from their hiding spots, and when they do run from an exploding drone, they leave themselves vulnerable to Flores or his teammates’ fire. Once deployed, even if Flores switches back to his loadout, the exploding drone will automatically move forward until it's time for it to explode, that means with proper timing and intel, Flores can send off a drone towards an enemy hiding spot and just wait for him or her to run away, and when they do, that’s when Flores can go for the kill.

1. Finka

Watch her pick rate go ballistic in Operation High Calibre

Finka was already plenty powerful even before Operation High Calibre, but Siege’s new season makes her even more powerful. Yes, Ubi removed the Adrenal Surge’s recoil benefits, but what makes Finka even more OP now is that she can activate her Adrenal Surge even when she’s in a down-but-not-out (dbno) state. That means she can revive herself as well as any other injured teammates. The adrenal surge also comes in with many other OP benefits like instantly removing the concussion effects of defender gadgets, lessening the blinding effectivity of stun grenades, faster reload, faster movement speed over barbed wires, and of course, each of the three Adrenal Surges adds 20 health to her and her teammates.
