LoL Best Gnar Skins That Look Freakin' Awesome (All Gnar Skins Ranked Worst To Best)

Gnar Best Skins
"Reeshoova!"

The cutest yet fiercest Yordle in the game has a bunch of skins that you can use to make him look even cuter! With 3 epic, 3 regular and 2 legacy skins, we are going to rate them one by one and put them in the order of worst to best. We will use 4 criteria to judge the skins namely; general appearance, ability animations, SFX and recall animation.

Available Skins:

6. El León Gnar

El León Gnar Skin Spotlight

El León Gnar translates to “The lion” Gnar. He’s the lion of the ring smashing his opponents in both of his forms. He wields a crowbar instead of a boomerang. In mega form, he turns into a lion. The appearance of the skin is very appealing. Being a regular skin, it does not have animation changes, new sound effects or a new recall animation. Having said all that, it is the cheapest skin for Gnar.

Skin rating:

  • General appearance: 8/10
  • Ability animations: 5/10
  • SFX: 5/10
  • Recall animation: 5/10
  • Price factor: 1/1
  • Total: 24

The skin is available for 750 RP.

5. Gentleman Gnar

Gentleman Gnar Skin Spotlight

Gentleman Gnar puts him and his mega form in a fancy suit with an eyepiece and a stick. He now throws a timepiece instead of a boomerang. Mega Gnar looks scary and fierce just like he SHOULD look. The skin also gives him new recall animations for both his forms. If you like your Yordle in a dashing look, then this skin is for you.

Skin rating:

  • General appearance: 8/10
  • Ability animations: 6/10
  • SFX: 5/10
  • Recall animation: 8/10
  • Total: 27

The skin is available for 975 RP.

4. Dino Gnar

Dino Gnar Skin Spotlight

The Gnar skin released with the release of the champion shows that a lot of thought and creativity was put into this skin. Gnar wears a dinosaur suit in his mini form whereas Mega Gnar becomes a real specimen. Both of his forms have new recall animations. Mini Gnar plays with blocks that have the word “LOL” written on them whereas Mega Gnar destroys a helicopter before returning to the base. This skin is a good example of what regular skins should look like.

Skin rating:

  • General appearance: 8/10
  • Ability animations: 5/10
  • SFX: 5/10
  • Recall animation: 9/10
  • Price factor: 1/1
  • Total: 28

The skin is available for 975 RP.

3. Astronaut Gnar

Astronaut Gnar Skin Spotlight

Just like Astronaut Teemo, Astronaut Gnar also wears a space suit and the walking animation is also like he’s walking on the moon’s surface. Mega Gnar looks like a green alien creature that looks terrifying. The boomerang has been given a futuristic space look. The SFX for this skin have that electronic touch to them. Mega Gnar’s boulder becomes a space shuttle. The W animation shows a ringed planet with its moons. The recall animations are also well designed with Mega Gnar eating a space shuttle. The skin also has chromas to change the colours according to your liking.

Skin rating:

  • General appearance: 9/10
  • Ability animations: 8/10
  • SFX: 8/10
  • Recall animation: 8/10
  • Total: 33

The skin is available for 1350 RP.

2. Super Galaxy Gnar

Super Galaxy Gnar Skin Spotlight

Super Galaxy Gnar features him as an intergalactic soldier but still cute as ever, well, at least in his mini form. The boomerang is now a space pistol that Gnar throws in the face of his enemies, whereas the boulder of Mega Gnar is a drill, yes, you read that right.

The best feature of this skin is the appearance of Mega Gnar (or should I say “Mecha Gnar”). Mega Gnar follows the theme line of Mecha skins with a complete Mechanical look and voice. The sound effects for this skin are just like the sound of guns in the “Star Wars” series i.e they sound very “intergalactic”.

The recall animations add the cherry on top and are very appropriate according to the theme of the skin.

Skin rating:

  • General appearance: 9/10
  • Ability animations: 8/10
  • SFX: 8/10
  • Recall animations: 9/10
  • Total: 34

The skin is available for 1350 RP.

1. Elderwood Gnar

Elderwood Gnar Skin Spotlight

Being the latest addition to the list of Gnar skins, Elderwood Gnar features    him as a monster of the woods. As with all the latest skins being released, this is a very detailed skin and it shows that a lot of work has been put into it.

The skin gives a mystical vibe, resembling that of Night Elves from World of Warcraft. The sound effects also give a similar effect.

The skin also adds new auto-attack animations and new recall animations for both his forms.

Overall, we rate this as the best skin available for Gnar

Skin rating:

  • General appearance: 10/10
  • Ability animations: 9/10

Legacy Skins:

2. Snow Day Gnar

Snow Day Gnar Skin Spotlight

Released in the “Snowdown Showdown event of 2015” Snow Day Gnar features him in winter clothes. Mega Gnar becomes a Siberian husky with thick fur. The skin adds new particles to his abilities including a frozen penguin boulder. The recall animations have been changed for both his forms. Overall it is a good regular skin.

Skin rating:

  • General appearance: 7/10

  • Recall animations: 7/10
  • Total: 26

1. SSG Gnar

SSG Gnar Skin Spotlight

SSG Gnar was released honouring the performance of CuVee in the World Championship of 2017. The skin seems to be Kung Fu inspired. There are cloud elements in the W ability of mini Gnar and on the shoulders of Mega Gnar. The boulder that he throws now becomes a statue of mini Gnar. The recall animations are amazing. Mini Gnar eats bananas while Mega Gnar eats ramen inside the championship trophy. The auto attacks have new SFX and so do all of the abilities along with new animations. Overall this is a very decent epic skin for Gnar if you can get your hands on it.

Skin rating:

  • General appearance: 9/10
  • Ability animations: 8/10
  • SFX: 9/10
  • Recall animation: 9/10
