[Top 10] Empires and Puzzles Best Heroes For Undead Horde

Well, they are meant to be undead

Murder Minions!

Alliance Wars: the most exciting PVP feature of Empires and Puzzles. It’s the ultimate test of how good and varied your hero roster is, considering the challenges you’d need to face to win one battle - let alone all six!

As a bonus, the game adds layers of difficulty to the fights - one of them being the presence of Undead Hordes on the field which are summoned for both attackers and defending heroes. With that mechanic in mind, here are our picks for the Top 10 Empires and Puzzles Best Heroes for Undead Horde, from Seasons 1 - 4.

10. Kvasir

Kvasir

Bee the change you want to bee

Everyone’s favorite 3-star hero returns to this list - and for good reason.

Kvasir’s Fast mana speed means he’ll keep on using his Special Skill for as long as you’re matching Holy shields on the board, and for this type of war, you really need to. His Bee Bravado allows him to summon minions whose hits will poison and block the enemies from getting their own minions - including the Undead Horde! That’s already one level of defense the defending team can no longer rely on for this war. Now that’s just bee-autiful!

What Makes Kvasir Great For Undead Horde:

  • Fast hero
  • Minion summoner
  • Each minion hit poisons the enemy and makes them unable to summon minions, including the undead horde

9. Gobbler

Gobbler

Shut that mouth!

An unsung hero, Gobbler makes his debut in this list as his Special Skill is designed specifically to target minion summoners - and their little sidekicks too!

His Minion Eater destroys all minions from all enemies - including Undead Hordes. It also deals 155% damage to them and gives all his allies 50 HP for each destroyed minion. His skill’s order is important too, considering the minions won’t be absorbing that damage as they’ll be eaten before that. Now imagine if that activates whenever all defending heroes have more than 1 minion or undead horde on their person! Having Gobbler in your attacking team may just turn the tide in your favor then.

What Makes Gobbler Great For Undead Horde:

  • Destroys all minions from all enemies, including Undead Horde
  • Deals 155% damage to all enemies
  • Gives all allies 50 HP for each destroyed minion

8. Gormek Costume
Gormek Costume

Big-ass Abacus coming through!

Gormek Costume really does give this hero a new purpose in life: destroying minions.

Like Gobbler, his Pulverizing Abacus destroys all minions, including the Undead Horde, from all enemies. He does a bit more than his Atlantis counterpart, however, considering he deals 180% damage to all enemies and gives all allies 80 HP for each destroyed minion. His sturdiness will depend on how much you’ve developed his regular counterpart though, so make sure you do that first before letting his costume unleash hell in wars!

What Makes Gormek Costume Great For Undead Horde:

  • Destroys all minions from all enemies, including Undead Horde
  • Deals 180% damage to all enemies
  • Gives all allies 80 HP for each destroyed minion

7. Morel
Morel

Ears for days!

One of the best heroes to pull from Underwild Summons - and really one of the best heroes, period - Morel is very fitting to use in wars.

Their Deathly Glaive deals 180% damage to all enemies, which may already be enough to obliterate any Undead Horde the defending team may have. But, more importantly, this Special Skill also grants -34% defense to all enemies for 3 turns, giving the other heroes in Morel’s team an all-around easier time to mow them down. All that at fast mana speed, too!

What Makes Morel Great For Undead Horde:

  • Deals 180% damage to all enemies, which may be enough to kill undead horde
  • All enemies get -34% defense for 3 turns
  • Has Fast mana speed

6. Kageburado

Kageburado

What’s lurking behind the mask?

Undead Horde acts as meat shields for both defending and attacking heroes. However, Kageburado’s very quick to make sure his enemies don’t get to enjoy that privilege for long.

His Break Strike - at Very Fast mana speed - does a lot, like dispel buffs from a single target and deal damage to them. However, the level of hurt depends on how much health the enemy has, as that 225% damage can quickly shoot up to 450% if they have more than 50% health remaining! It doesn’t matter how many Undead Hordes there are on the field - Kageburado’s going to make quick work of them and the heroes they’re guarding anyway.

What Makes Kageburado Great For Undead Horde:

  • Dispels buffs from the target
  • Damage goes from 225% to 450% depending on the enemy’s health
  • Has Very Fast mana speed

5. Freya
Freya

More like Oh-Ya!

One of our chosen tanks for this game, the presence of Undead Hordes just makes Freya all the more useful - as it’s apparently possible!

Her Raven’s Vigil makes Freya a fast summoner of beefy minions, but if her Special Skill goes off when her team already has an Undead Horde on their side? Their attack gets powered up by a hefty 120%. And considering she also gives her teammates +30% defense for 4 turns, this just makes Freya an even more fantastic hero to use in wars, too. Blessed be those who have her on their roster!

What Makes Freya Great For Undead Horde:

  • Fast minion summoner
  • Minions power up other minions, including undead horde, by +120% attack
  • Gives all allies +30% defense

4. Fenrir
Fenrir

Careful - he bites.

There are a lot of fantastic heroes to pull from Valhalla - and Fenrir is undoubtedly one of them.

His Gargantuan Bite makes him a beast - pun intended. It deals anywhere from 300% to 600% damage depending on the enemy’s health, as less health means more damage. Not only that, but if Fenrir kills the target or just the minion they have on their person? He’ll get extra mana out of the whole deal, making unleashing his next attack a whole lot faster. Lastly, Fenrir heals himself for 50% of the damage he dealt, making him one of the literal life suckers in the game. As if there’s not enough reason to fear him!

What Makes Fenrir Great For Undead Horde:

  • Deals 300 % to 600% damage to target depending on the health
  • Gains mana for every enemy or minion killed
  • Heals himself for 50% of the damage dealt

3. Gefjon
Gefjon

What’s a lady like you doing in a war like this?

A great hero to pull from Valhalla Summons, Gefjon really does put that whip to good use - especially during wars against minion summoners. And hey - the Undead Horde mechanic just so happens to make every hero a minion summoner!

Her Maiden’s Command allows her to steal minions from her target to make them her own - even the Undead Horde! But what’s especially painful is that afterward, she deals 500% damage to the enemy, too. At Fast mana speed, this lady will surely be stealing and hurting often!

What Makes Gefjon Great For Undead Horde:

  • Steals minions from target
  • Deals 500% damage to the target
  • Has Fast mana speed

2. Bera

Bera

Bera Be Good!

This little lady packs a lot in such a tiny package - which is always a good thing.

Her Dísir of Dusk makes her a fast minion summoner, like Kvasir and Freya before her. However, each hit from her moth minions actually blocks the enemies’ ability to get their own minions - even the Undead Horde - which basically throws the mechanics out of the window for the opposing team. There’s also that nasty 180 poison damage over 3 turns that, unless cleansed, will just continuously eat at the enemies’ HP until they’re dead considering it's given per minion hit. They will need a dedicated healer on their side to continue surviving against Bera though, that’s for sure!

What Makes Bera Great For Undead Horde:

  • Fast minion summoner
  • Each hit from moth minions make the target unable to get minions, even the undead horde
  • Each hit gives the enemy 180 poison damage for 3 turns

1. Skadi
Skadi

Blue means you’re dead.

Undead Horde really makes inherently anti-minion heroes shine - but probably none as absurdly good as it makes Skadi. Her Iceberg Crush deals 220% damage to all enemies, which increases by 50% per dead enemy. Time the release of her Special Skill right, and you’ll basically wipe the floor with this ability alone. However, that’s not even the end of it.

All enemies - if they’re still alive - will also receive 30 Frost damage per each killed enemy or enemy minion/undead horde at the end of each turn, which stacks at 10 at most. And if that still doesn’t kill them, they’re given -6% mana generation per each killed enemy or enemy minion/undead horde too, with 10 being the maximum stack. This means the more undead horde and enemies she gets rid of, the more devastating her next attacks become. All this at Average mana speed, too!

What Makes Skadi Great For Undead Horde:

  • Deals 220% damage to all enemies, which increases by 50% per dead enemy
  • Deals 30 Frost damage to all enemies per each killed enemy or enemy minion at the end of each turn
  • Gives -6% mana generation to all enemies per each killed enemy or enemy minion.

Next time the Undead Horde is present in your war, make sure to put these heroes to good use. You won’t regret it!
