[Top 10] Empires and Puzzles Best Heroes To Limit Break

The sky's the limit!

More power to your team!

With this new mechanic in place, Empires and Puzzles now allows its players to power up their favorite heroes beyond their normal limits - making them even more formidable than ever before! Say goodbye to your usual levels 50, 70, and 80 - it’s all about heroes with levels 55, 75, and 85 now!

Limit-breaking materials called aethers can be collected through Limit Breaker Quests, or as loots from wars and tournaments - though players should remember that each element has its own specific aether. Given the scarcity of this resource, it’s best to carefully choose which heroes you’ll want to limit break. Here are our choices for the Top 10 Empires and Puzzles Best Heroes to Limit Break from Seasons 1 - 4.

10. Rigard Costume

Rigard Costume

Dapper is as dapper does!

One of our favorite 4* heroes, limit-breaking Rigard Costume feels so natural and oh-so-right given all he does for your team.

Rigard Costume supports his team in the best way possible via regenerating their health amounting to 609 HP over 3 turns, dispelling their status ailments, and buffing them with +48% attack for 3 turns to boot. As a costume, however, you’ll need to focus on getting his normal version to level 75 first before building this one - though every effort spent on him will be worth it in the long run!

  • Makes all allies regenerate 609 HP
  • Gives them +48% attack for 3 turns
  • Dispels status ailments from all allies

9. Gullinbursti

Gullinbursti

All a-boar!

One of the more annoying enemies to encounter, Gullinbursti makes his enemies pay for daring to hit his team after his Special Attack is unleashed.

His Angry Boar has both defensive and offensive abilities, making him a health booster and an attacker all in one. He boosts the health of all his allies by 400, and when the skill’s used, his attack gets increased depending on how many times he and his allies are hit during 3 turns - after which he’ll hit his enemies anywhere from 164% to 288% or 197 to 365 damage! Considering his slow mana speed, however, bringing him to level 75 to make him last longer is definitely a wise choice for everyone who has him in their defensive lineup!

What Makes Gullinbursti A Great Hero to Limit Break:

  • Boosts health of all allies by 400
  • Gets 45% attack and a further 20% increase every time they or any of their allies are hit during 3 turns

His Wonderful Feast makes both parties share damage with their allies, but while Wilbur’s team gets to enjoy +63% defense, his enemies will have to endure -44% defense in return. And with defense down being one of the more devastating debuffs in this game considering how easy it is to take advantage of? Taking Wilbur to level 75 is not just an option; it’s a necessity. Go do it and never look back!

At Fast mana speed, her Lava Blast deals 358% damage to the target and minor damage to nearby enemies, as well as gives them -54% defense against Fire for 3 turns. This makes her a natural Nature Titan killer, as her elemental defense down gives the other Fire attackers in her lineup a chance to abuse it. When used in wars and tournaments, however, her skill also gives all Ice enemies -34% attack for 3 turns! Level her up to 85 and she’ll remain as one of your most useful damage dealers for a long, long time.

Bera

Small and very terrible!

We just love our fast minion summoners, and very few can trump our girl Bera considering how annoying she can choose to be.

Her Dísir of Dusk summons moth minions which, when attacking enemies, blocks their ability to summon their own minions as well as deals 180 poison damage to them over 3 turns. Considering that she’s very much usable as a tank in any type of war? Bringing her all the way to level 85 is a no-brainer, as the added stats will make her last longer than usual. Yay for Bera!

What Makes Bera A Great Hero to Limit Break:

  • Fast minion summoner
  • Each hit from moth minions make the target unable to summon their own minions
  • Each hit gives the enemy 180 poison damage for 3 turns

3. Heimdall

Heimdall

Blowing the victory horn for you!

Given that he is our choice as the Best Tank from Seasons 1 - 4, it’s only natural for Heimdall to claim a spot in our list of heroes to limit break.

He’s a beast in terms of protecting his team, as his Boon of Gjallarhorn boosts the health of all allies by 500 and gives them +30% attack for 4 turns, making them live longer and have stronger attacks to take down enemies quicker. But what sets him apart is that Heimdall is also a reviver, and all fallen enemies in his lineup will have a 20% chance to get revived with 30% HP if he unleashes his Special Skill. Take him to level 85 as soon as you have the resources, and your Defense Team will thank you for it!

Phileas Fogg

En garde!

Like Marjana Costume, Phileas Fogg is a versatile character you can bring with you in any type of battle - which makes limit-breaking him even more natural to those lucky enough to have him.

His Valiant Lunge makes him a dispeller, attacker, and dealer of elemental defense down all in one nifty package. He deals 420% damage to the target as well as gives them -58% defense against Nature, which makes him an ideal hero to use when fighting Ice Titans! Bring him up to level 85 for the added stats and watch him tear down enemies along with the best of them.

  • Gives the target -58% defense against Nature for 4 turns

1. Alfrike

Alfrike

That smirk marks you for death!

This list won’t be complete without our chosen hero for Best Attacker, particularly during Rush Attack - so if you see her up to level 85 in an enemy lineup, you better prepare yourself for the worst.

Alfrike’s Special Skill just does a ton of things all at once. Her Cube of Dark Realm deals 200% damage to hit targets, casts 5 Dark Cubes to random enemies that reduce their max health by 224, and her target uses Mindless Attack on a random ally of theirs when their mana is full. Her kit is somewhat balanced by the fact that her mana speed is set at Very Slow, so leveling her up to 85 will make her stats go up - enough for her to unleash havoc on the enemies before they can take her down. And you bet most of them will try to get rid of her first, obviously!

What Makes Alfrike A Great Hero to Limit Break:

  • Does 200% damage to hit targets
  • Casts 5 Dark Cubes that reduces max health by 224
  • Enemies hit automatically cast Mindless Attack on a random ally of theirs

And that’s our list for the 10 Best Heroes to limit break. Horde your precious resources by all means - but use them on these ten for best results!
