[Top 10] Empires and Puzzles Best Heroes To Level Up
Level Up to the Top

Nowhere to go but up!

With so many heroes available in Empires and Puzzles, which of them are worth bringing up to the maximum levels possible? Here are our Top 10 picks for Empires and Puzzles Best Heroes to Level Up. Fair warning though: some of them are seasonal heroes - so you may have to wait for them to be available before you even have a chance to pull them. But they are definitely worth it, in our humble opinion!

10. Tiburtus

Tiburtus

That streak of white means business!

First on our list is one of the OG heroes of the game, and it says a lot about his utility that he still remains an awesome character to level up.

Tiburtus’ Ramming Pulverizer hits his target hard, dealing 295% damage to them as well as minor damage to nearby enemies. But what will really hurt them is the added -34% defense on their person for 6 turns - which, unless cleansed, definitely opens a long opportunity for Tiburtus’ team to easily destroy them. Getting Tiburtus is fairly easy too, especially when compared to other heroes in this list - so leveling him up remains a wise thing to do.!

What Makes Tiburtus Great:

  • Deals 295% damage to the target as well as minor damage to nearby enemies
  • Gives them -34% defense for 6 turns
  • Fairly easy to summon

9. Colen Costume

Colen Costume

Burn baby, burn!

Colen with or without a costume is definitely one of those characters you’ll need to prepare for when you face them in battle - which says a lot considering he’s not even a 5* hero!

His costume’s Special Skill - Flame Assault - does 240% damage to all enemies, which is already painful on its own. However, they also receive more than 200 Burn damage over 3 turns too, which stings even more especially if they don’t have a dedicated healer/cleanser on their side! Considering his Slow Mana though, leveling him up all the way, making him stronger with emblems, as well as limit-breaking him with Fire Aethers is an investment that will definitely prove fruitful for you in the long run.

What Makes Colen Costume Great:

  • Does 240% damage to all enemies
  • Gives enemies more than 200 Burn damage over 3 turns
  • A good 4* hero to develop all the way

8. Griffin

Griffin

Death strike!

A fantastic hero to pull during Underwild Summons, Griffin is definitely worth leveling up all the way!

At Fast Mana Speed, his Invisible Strike deals 340% damage to the target - which can hurt a ton, particularly if it’s a Dark enemy. Being from the Underwild family grants him a passive skill, too - 30% power is added to his Special Skill the first time he unleashes it if it does damage! Lastly, the attack will always bypass counterattacks and reflection - which makes him ideal to put in a lineup when facing enemies with those types of abilities attached to their skills. You bet this makes Griffin a definite Gri-win in our book!

What Makes Griffin Great:

  • Has Fast Mana Speed
  • Deals 340% damage to the target
  • Special Skill always bypasses counterattacks and reflection

7. Buddy

Buddy

Naughty, naughty!

A seasonal 4* hero makes our list, and he’s one you’ll want to level up - especially if you’ve been nice all year round!

Buddy’s Gift Sack is a hodge-podge of useful skills wrapped in one pretty present: it deals 205% damage to the target and nearby enemies and gives them debuffs like -24% attack and -34% defense for 3 turns. That’s not all, though - it also summons an elf minion for Buddy and his nearby allies with 7% HP and 10% attack inherited from him! He’s definitely one of the most useful 4* event heroes, that’s for sure!

What Makes Buddy Great:

  • Deals 205% damage to the target and nearby enemies
  • Gives them debuffs such as -24% attack and -34% defense for 3 turns
  • Summons an elf minion for Buddy and nearby allies

6. Ametrine

Ametrine

Sais of Glory!

A hero summonable during the Ninja Tower event charges right into our list - and for very good reason.

Like other Ninja Heroes, the strength of Ametrine’s Blur of Steel depends on how long her mana has been charging before unleashing them. At 100% mana, she targets just 1 enemy, dispelling their buffs and dealing 220% damage to them. At 200% mana, she can dispel buffs from her target and their nearby enemies, as well as deal 255% damage to them. But she’s best at 300% mana, as she targets all enemies, dispels their buffs, and deals 300% damage to them! Considering how awesome her skill sets are, you’ll definitely want her to last long enough to unleash her abilities at maximum strength - which is why leveling her up should be on your to-do list, if you pull her!

What Makes Ametrine Great:

  • Depending on her mana charge, she can:
    • Target one to all enemies
    • Dispel buffs
    • Deal damage anywhere from 220% to 300% damage

5. Alice

Alice

Story time!

A fantastic Ice hero, Alice is summonable whenever the Riddles of Wonderland Challenge Event is up and running.

Her Timeless Timepiece makes her a great hero to use against enemies with high attack stats, especially if they’re of the Fire element. Not only does Alice deal 430% damage to them, but they get hit with a -44% attack for 3 turns, too. Normally this can be solved when they’re healed - but not in this case, as the effect duration just resets whenever the target is healed. Considering her Fast Mana Speed too, Alice can potentially blunt all her enemies’ attack power if the boards are on her side! Now that’s a great story to tell the kids.

What Makes Alice Great:

  • Deals 430% damage to the target
  • Gives them -44% attack for 3 turns, which resets if they are healed
  • Has Fast Mana Speed

4. Mica

Mica

Quietly deadly!

Just like Ametrine, Mica’s summonable whenever the Ninja Tower Challenge Event is on. If you’re blessed by his presence, leveling him is a must!

We’re a fan of heroes whose abilities include making their allies share damage with each other, as it greatly raises survivability against any enemy - and Mica fits this bill perfectly. Like all ninjas, his Connect Ki’s strength depends on how long his mana has been charging. At 100%, he makes all allies share damage and gives them +20% defense plus +15% mana generation for 2 turns. At 200%, his allies share damage for 4 turns, as well as enjoy +40% defense and +26% mana generation. At 300% mana, though? Ho, boy. All allies get to share damage for 5 turns, get +73% defense, and +33% mana generation too! This basically makes them very, very hard to defeat - all thanks to Mica!

What Makes Mica Great:

  • Depending on mana charge, he can:
    • Make all allies share damage with each other from 2 - 5 turns
    • Give all allies +20% to +73% defense
    • Give all allies +15% to +33% mana generation

3. Zeline

Zeline

Flying High Up On the Wings of Victory~

A Hero of the Month from 2018, Zeline can be summoned whenever the Tavern of Legends quest is available in-game.

If you’re lucky enough to pull her, consider prioritizing leveling her up ASAP, as she’s simply amazing. At Fast Mana Speed, her Emerald Flash does a number of good things: she deals 143% damage to all enemies, gives them -34% attack for 4 turns, and dispels all their buffs, too! She’s also ideal to use especially against heroes of the Ice element as she deals extra damage to them. She may be from 2018, but four years later and she’s still one great hero!

What Makes Zeline Great:

  • Has Fast Mana Speed
  • Deals 143% damage to and dispels buffs from all enemies
  • Gives all enemies -34% attack for 4 turns

2. Zimkitha

Zimkitha

What a Purrfect Hero!

Like Zeline, Zimkitha may be summoned when the Tavern of Legends Quest is held in the game being that she’s a Hero of the Month from 2018.

At Fast Mana Speed, her Dawn Strike is definitely a hybrid of good news for your team: it deals 155% damage to all enemies, gives all allies +25% attack for 4 turns, and dispels status ailments from them, too. This effectively makes her a buffer and cleanser, which are such great roles to play in any lineup! Leveling her up shouldn’t even be a question; just do it!

What Makes Zimkitha Great:

  • Has Fast Mana Speed
  • Deals 155% damage to all enemies
  • Gives all allies +25% attack and dispels status ailments from them.

1. Krampus

Krampus

Happy Krampus-mas!

And now we have a hero that everyone wanted to get last Christmas - and it’s not hard to see why.

Krampus is a fantastic Tank that makes other tanks look like they’re not blessed with Holiday Cheer. His Scourge of Joy makes him a minion summoner as he gives each ally one with 7% HP at 10% attack inherited from him. Of course, this is only the beginning, as he also gets Taunt that effectively directs all enemies’ Special Skills onto his person for 3 turns, and to survive it, he gets +44% defense, as well as a further +10% increase every time he’s hit during those 3 turns! Last and certainly the best - all his allies get +50% attack for 3 turns. Yikes! No wonder most people have him in their defense team now - he definitely makes every lineup feel like Christmas!

What Makes Krampus Great:

  • A minion summoner
  • Gets Taunt that prevents enemies from using their Special Skills on Krampus’ allies for 3 turns
  • Gives all allies +50% attack for 3 turns.

Those were our Top 10 Best Heroes to level up. Give these heroes the attention they deserve, and they’ll reward you for your efforts and resources big time!
