[Top 10] Empires and Puzzles Best Heroes For War Equalizer

On Equal Footing!

In battle, all are equal.

With wars being a regular feature in Empires and Puzzles, you bet they have different mechanics to make it more varied and exciting for its players - such as War Equalizer.

As the name suggests, this feature removes all types of positive and negative status effects from the Heroes, be they defenders or attackers in the field. And it activates every 3 turns too, making the timing of using Special Skills very crucial! Here is our list of the Top 10 Empires and Puzzles Best Heroes for War Equalizer, from Seasons 1 - 4.

10. Boldtusk

Boldtusk

No fleeing the battle for this tough guy!

You’d want Boldtusk in your team always - not just for his ability to recover 27% health for all allies, but more so because of his ability to boost the attack of his team by a hefty 48%. Activate his Warcry in between the automatic wipe of boosts from both sides, and your attackers will have an easier time wiping out the enemy. Sweet!

Moreover, he’s from the Fighter Class - or those heroes who may come bouncing back with 1 HP after they’ve supposedly been wiped out. Truly he’s one of the classic heroes who still prove his worth time and again!

What Makes Boldtusk Great For War Equalizer:

  • Recovers health of all allies by 27%
  • Boosts attacks of all allies by 48%
  • May revive themselves with 1 HP after a fatal attack

9. Proteus

Proteus

Coming out of the depths just to battle you!

Our best 4-star hero makes this list as he’s very awesome and useful - especially in wars.

As a dedicated mana controller, his Scar of the Depths stops his target and their nearby allies from gaining mana for 3 turns, halting their chance to use their Special Skills altogether. However, make sure to activate it after War Equalizer takes effect so that the debuff will stick! He also gives his enemies 342 Poison damage over 3 turns too, which can be a death sentence to weakened enemies. Get him from Atlantis Summons and watch him wreak havoc during wars - it’s a beautiful sight!

What Makes Proteus Great For War Equalizer:

  • Stops enemies from gaining mana for 3 turns
  • Poisons enemies over 3 turns

8. Marjana

Marjana

Plunder all you want, madam!

As War Equalizer removes both buffs and debuffs, it’s important to use heroes who have raw attack power on their side - such as Marjana.

Her Magma Smash gives her target 300 burn damage over 6 turns, which will get removed considering the mechanic of the war. However, the accompanying 458% damage to the enemy is not an easy thing to survive, particularly if she unleashes it on a Nature hero, who’s naturally weak to Fire to begin with. Add the fact that she’s a Fast hero to boot - meaning she’ll just deal this damage again and again. Just an awesome hero to use in all types of wars, really!

What Makes Marjana Great For War Equalizer:

  • Gives burn damage
  • Deals 458% damage to her target
  • A fast hero

7. Aouda

Aouda

She sees victory on the horizon!

One of the newer heroes of the game, Aouda is really out to prove her worth - particularly in wars.

Her Blade of Bundelkhand makes her a great hero to use against heroes who boost the health of their team - and there are many out there! She deals 450% damage to the target, but the follow-up 500 damage applies if the hero has boosted health, making her awesome to pit against teams with Prof. Lidenbrock and Heimdall in their lineup. With or without War Equalizer in effect, she’ll be able to dwindle their health in no time, considering she’s a Fast hero, too! What a fantastic hero to pull during Underwild Summons!

What Makes Aouda Great For War Equalizer:

  • Deals 450% damage to the target
  • Deals 500 extra damage if the target has boosted health.
  • A fast hero

6. Misandra

Misandra

Cutlass for a cutting lass!

An Atlantis Hero, Misandra is fantastic to use in wars considering she may hit multiple heroes all at once - which benefits her team in more ways than one.

Her Chain Strike deals 310% damage to the target and has a 42% chance to hit random enemies up to 3 times. And, not only do the additional attacks lower their HP, but Misandra’s team also gains a small amount of mana for each hit! Considering she’s a Fast hero unaffected by the War Equalizer mechanic, her skill may just set her team off faster than usual. A great hero to use, particularly against teams with Fire heroes in them!

What Makes Misandra Great For War Equalizer:

  • Deals 310% damage to the target
  • Has 42% chance to hit random enemies up to 3 times
  • Each hit gives a small amount of mana to all her allies

5.  Lianna

Lianna

You know she’ll hit you dead.

When it comes to raw power though, most of our OG heroes can still be counted on to deliver a world of hurt to their enemies - and Lianna’s one of them.

Her Perfect Shot deals a whopping 512% damage to a single target. Considering she’s a Fast hero too, she’ll be quick to unleash this devastating Special Skill in no time! Pair her up with a hero who deals elemental defense down, or simply defense down, to any enemy - and watch Lianna finish them off. Regardless of war mechanics on the field, she’s an awesome hero to deploy any time.

What Makes Lianna Great For War Equalizer:

  • Deals 512% damage to a single target
  • A fast hero

4. Zekena

Zekena

More limbs = more damage.

An even newer hero than Aouda, Zekena may prove to be a nightmare to encounter during wars.

A Fast hero, his Swift Stingers deals 300% damage to a target - but then he also hits a different enemy for an even more devastating 450% damage, which will hurt more if they’re a Dark hero. But that’s not all - the extra hit gives that random enemy -56% defense for 3 turns, too! This makes this skill particularly devastating to unleash after the War Equalizer triggers, if only so you can take advantage of the debuff to take that enemy down. He’s definitely included in our wish list from Underwild Summons moving forward, that’s for sure!

What Makes Zekena Great For War Equalizer:

  • A fast hero
  • Deals 300% damage to the target
  • Deals extra 450% damage to another enemy and gives them -56% defense for 3 turns

3. Ursena

Ursena

Something about the way she looks at you…

Multi-enemy attackers are a must for wars, and Ursena fits that bill perfectly.

Her Depth Blast hits all enemies with damage ranging from 130% - 260% depending on their health. The more HP they have, the more damage they’ll get, which makes it perfect for her to attack near the beginning of the battle. Of course, she also gives her allies a buff that makes them reflect all status effects to the attacker with an added bonus of 115% damage to boot! Time using her Special Skill after War Equalizer takes effect - and see the enemy basically off themselves, particularly if they have no healer/debuffer in their team.

What Makes Ursena Great For War Equalizer:

  • Special Skill hits all enemies and can inflict higher damage depending on their health
  • Makes her team reflect all status effects to the attacker with an added 115% damage

2. Freya

Freya

The better to swipe at you, my dear!

War equalizer may remove buffs and debuffs, but they don’t remove minions - meaning fast minion summoners are your best friends in this type of war. And few minion summoners are better than our girl Freya.

She’s fantastic to use as a defensive hero during wars, particularly as her Raven’s Vigil summons minions which keep powering up the succeeding minions Freya’s team will get. What’s more, Freya also gives her allies +30% defense. While this may be wiped by War Equalizer, Freya being a Fast Hero can easily keep casting her Special Skill to make sure they’re well protected. For this reason, she’s one tough mama to take down.

What Makes Freya Great For War Equalizer:

  • Minion Summoner whose Raven Minions power up succeeding minions
  • Special Skill gives all allies +30% defense for 4 turns
  • A fast hero

1. Bera

Bera

Tiny but deadly!

Another minion summoner like Freya, Bera’s skills make her more offensive in nature - which makes her awesome in our book.

A Fast hero, Bera’s Moth Minions are quite sturdy as they inherit 20% HP and 20% attack from her. What’s more, each hit from the moths inflicts Poison over 3 turns as well as renders enemies unable to summon minions - making pitting her against other summoners a walk in the park, should she use her Special Skill first.

While these debuffs may get removed once War Equalizer activates, keep in mind that the minions themselves will still be there  - meaning it won’t be long until they reapply these debuffs to the enemy. This easily makes this lady over here our favorite!

What Makes Bera Great For War Equalizer:

  • Fast minion summoner
  • Minions inflict poison
  • Minions won’t allow enemies to summon their own minions

And those are our Top 10 Heroes for War Equalizer! We hope you have them on your roster; they’ll be helping you win battles in no time.
