[Top 10] Empires and Puzzles Best Barbarian Heroes That Are Powerful

May the Axe Be With You

Destruction ahoy!

One of the more offense-oriented classes in Empires and Puzzles, Barbarians are all about dealing damage to their enemies, even going as far as freely giving out a bleed effect alongside their attacks like they’re candy - just because they can! Here we have our choices for the Top 10 Empires and Puzzles Best Barbarian Heroes That Are Powerful.

10. Namahage

namahageAnd he knows how to wield that blade too!

Who says pain can’t come from small things? Namahage might seem like a tiny thing but as they say, sometimes it’s the little things that can hurt you the most!

Namahage’s aptly named Special Skill is a reflection of just how thirsty he is to cause carnage. His Bloodthirst, at Fast Mana Speed, deals 290% damage to a single target. However, the amount of damage he causes can go up considering he gains a +45% attack plus a further 20% increase every time they are hit during 5 turns! It’s good to limit break him so that he can withstand these attacks - and unleash a devastating one when given a chance to retaliate. To Namahage we say: we choose you!

What Makes Namahage Great:

  • Has Fast Mana Speed
  • Deals 290% damage to a single target
  • Gets +45% attack and a further +20% increase every time they are hit during 5 turns

9. Nordri

Nordri

Cool beards!

It’s not hard to see Nordri as one of the more useful 3* heroes out there - and that’s saying something!

His Frosty Axes deals 245% damage to the target and minor damage to nearby enemies, but its more appealing effect is that it also gives hit foes -54% defense against Ice for 4 turns. And we all know how devastating elemental defense down in this game is, especially if Nordri is accompanied by Ice heroes who can take advantage of the debuff he gives - as he very well should be! Just make sure he’s limit-broken and emblemed so he can last longer in battles as compared to his non-LB version!

What Makes Nordri Great:

  • Deals 245% damage to the target and minor damage to nearby enemies
  • Gives hit targets -54% defense against Ice for 4 turns
  • Good to use alongside other Ice heroes

8. Little John

Little John

Axe you, too!

Mana controllers? Yeah, Barbarians have those too, in the giant form of one Little John!

His Massive Chop deals 185% damage to all enemies at Slow Mana Speed. However, it’s a worthwhile Special Skill to build up and use considering its secondary effect of also giving all enemies -64% mana generation for 3 turns! This makes him great to use against lineups without any cleansers so they may feel just how debilitating his skill can be. Or! Just unleash Little John during Rush Attack - aka that type of battle where all Slow and Very Slow Heroes can go and play, and watch him try to become your little big Ace in the Hole!

What Makes Little John Great:

  • Hits all enemies for 185% damage
  • Gives all enemies -64% mana generation for 3 turns
  • Fantastic to use during Rush Attack

7. Grimm

Grimm

Nothing Grimm about those abs!

Another OG Hero like Little John, Grimm is still a great 4* hero to build on particularly since his Special Skill remains to be one of the more destructive ones out there.

His Ramming Pulverizer deals 295% damage to the target and minor damage to nearby enemies. However, this comes with a devastating debuff equivalent to -34% defense granted on their persons for 6 turns, too! As we all know, this status effect, if left uncleansed, makes any hero suffering them much, much easier to dispose of, especially if Grimm is accompanied by other heavy hitters in the lineup - and he should be!

What Makes Grimm Great:

  • Deals 295% damage to the target and minor damage to nearby enemies
  • Gives them -34% defense for a whopping 6 turns
  • Great to use alongside heavy hitters

6. Ametrine

Ametrine

Sais who?

A fantastic 4* hero comes in the form of Ametrine - and boy is she one useful Barbarian!

The strength of Ametrine’s Blur of Steel depends on how long her mana has been charging - like all Ninja heroes. At 100% mana, she targets a single enemy, dispelling their buffs and dealing 220% damage to them. At 200% mana, she can dispel buffs from her target and their nearby enemies and deal 255% damage to them. However, she’s at her most formidable at 300% mana since she now targets all enemies, dispels their buffs, and deals 300% damage to them too! The order of her skill is fantastic too considering she won’t suffer if she’s dispelling a counterattacking hero. Dispellers are always a useful hero to have, and more so if they can do what this little lady obviously does!

What Makes Ametrine Great:

  • Depending on her mana charge, she can:
    • Target one to all enemies
    • Dispel buffs
    • Deal damage anywhere from 220% to 300% damage

5. Kageburado

Kageburado

Out for blood!

A helpful hero through and through, Kageburado’s an awesome 5* to pull from Atlantis!

His Break Strike - at Very Fast Mana Speed - does several things at once, like dispel buffs and deal damage to a single target. However, the level of hurt he deals depends on how much health the enemy has, as that initial 225% damage can quickly shoot up to 450% if they have more than 50% health remaining! This is why he’s awesome especially during the first half of the battle - when he can easily deplete enemy HP like they’re nothing!

What Makes Kageburado Great:

  • Has Very Fast Mana Speed
  • Dispels buffs from the target
  • Damage goes from 225% to 450% depending on the enemy’s health

4. Gravemaker

Gravemaker

Digging graves like it’s his day job

In this game, Red equals fire - and Gravemaker lives by that motto.

His Ashes to Ashes, at Very Fast Mana Speed, deals 135% damage to the target and nearby enemies - and they also receive 298 burn damage over 2 turns. It’s not unusual then for all his enemies to be suffering the burn ailment considering just how fast he doles them out! He’s best used against lineups with a lot of Nature heroes considering he deals extra damage to them too. Now that’s an awesome Barbarian through and through!

What Makes Gravemaker Great:

  • Has Very Fast Mana Speed
  • Deals 135% damage to the target and nearby enemies
  • Hit enemies also receive 298 burn damage over 2 turns

3. Kravekrush

Kravekrush

Two heads are better than one!

Nowadays Barbarians don’t just deal damage - they also prevent other classes from reviving their own, too!

Kravekrush’s Inevitable Demise may just bring about his enemies’ downfall considering once he unleashes it, they won’t be able to revive their allies or themselves for 5 turns, nor can they receive any status effects that would resurrect them for 5 turns! And since Barbarians like doling out pain, Kravekrush also deals 430% damage to the target and minor damage to nearby enemies. An antithesis to revivers like Mother North and Heimdall Kravekrush truly is!

What Makes Kravekrush Great:

  • Prevents enemies from reviving themselves or their allies for 5 turns
  • Prevents enemies from receiving status effects that will revive them for 5 turns
  • Deals 430% damage to the target and minor damage to nearby enemies

2. Bobo

Bobo

Say Cheese!

Slow Heroes? Really worth using, especially if they’re as destructive as Bobo over here!

His Bobo Blitz does 320% damage to all enemies while also punishing certain heroes in the enemies’ lineup if they meet his criteria. How, you ask? Well, the enemy with the highest base defense gets -60% defense for 4 turns, while the enemy with the highest base attack gets -60% attack for 4 turns - both of which can’t be cleansed. This means that the mightiest and sturdiest enemy facing Bobo may not even function properly considering the debuffs he gives them - all while looking as happy as a clam!

What Makes Bobo Great:

  • Deals 320% damage to all enemies
  • Enemy with highest base defense gets -60% defense for 4 turns, which can’t be cleansed
  • Enemy with highest base attack gets -60% attack for 4 turns, which can’t be cleansed

1. Black Knight

Black KnightStoic and still

Taunters are a special breed of heroes - and Barbarians? Also has one in the form of the formidable Black Knight.

His Just a Flesh Wound Special Skill gives him a 50% chance to drop any received damage to 1 for 3 turns, which is fantastic on its own. It also allows him to direct all the enemies’ Special Skill towards himself for 3 turns, considering his Taunt prevents them from targeting his allies in the first place. Lastly, all his allies gain +45% attack and a further 20% increase every time they are hit during 3 turns! A phenomenal Tank he truly is!

What Makes Black Knight Great:

  • Has 50% chance to drop any received damage to 1 for 3 turns
  • Taunts the enemies into using their Special Skills on him instead of his allies for 3 turns
  • Gives all allies +45% attack and a further +20% increase every time they are hit for 3 turns

And those are our Top 10 Best Barbarian Heroes that Are Powerful! This just shows that Barbarians are truly a masterclass all on their own!
