Just like Wars, Tournaments employ various mechanics to make them more exciting for players, like Buff Booster - a type of battle where each boost the heroes have adds extra 20% to their damage, making them more effective in defeating the enemy than usual! 

Here are our Top 10 Best Heroes for Buff Booster Tournaments, from Seasons 1 - 4. 

10. Sonya

Covered head to toe in armor!

During Buff Booster fights, you’d want your enemy team to not have any type of buff on their person at any given moment - which is why dispellers, such as Sonya, are very much your friends. 

At Fast mana speed, Sonya’s Piercing Strike deals 345% damage to the target and, more importantly, dispels buffs from all enemies, taking away their advantage over your team. Her high defense and Paladin class make her an ideal tank too, so don’t be too surprised to see teams with her in them often - especially during 4* Tournaments!

• Deals 345% damage to the target and dispels buffs from all enemies
• Is great to use as a Tank

9. Caedmon 

Old doesn’t mean useless!

One of our personal favorites, Caedmon is another dispeller you’d want in your team always.

Just like Sonya, Caedmon’s Piercing Strike also deals 345% damage to the target as well as dispels buffs from all enemies, but his higher attack power makes him more ideal to include as one of your offensive heroes. At Fast mana speed, he’ll help make sure that your enemies will not get to enjoy their buffs for too long!

8. Sabina Costume

Princess of Doom

In cases where you’ll encounter enemies with reflect as their buff, you’d want to use heroes who can act as both healer and dispeller - like Sabina. However, her costume makes her pitch-perfect to use during Buff Booster Tournaments!

Her Haze of the Fallen enables her allies to regenerate 609 HP over three turns, but for this type of fight, she’s awesome for her ability to dispel enemy buffs and make them immune to new buffs for 3 turns. She’s basically trolling the enemy team at this point, considering try as they might, their buffs won’t stick at all - unless they can cleanse this debuff, of course!

• Makes all enemies immune to new buffs for 3 turns

7. Melendor Costume

Another Oldie but definitely a Badass!

Melendor Costume is another healer/dispeller mix that’s awesome for any situation - but Buff Booster is also one where he can shine the brightest.

His Fog of the Perished allows all allies to regenerate 609 HP over three turns and dispels buffs from all enemies, but his ability to give all allies +46% defense for 3 turns makes him fantastic considering his protective boost to his team. And, since he’ll also be dispelling whatever protective buffs the enemies have? It’ll just make his team more effective in wiping them out from the field.   

What Makes Melendor Costume Great For Buff Booster:

• Allows all allies to regenerate 609 HP over 3 turns
• Dispels buffs from all enemies
• Gives all allies +46% defense for 3 turns

6. Mist

Is heaven missing an angel or…?

One of the best 4* debuffers you can get from Valhalla Summons, Mist can really give the opposing team a lot of trouble during Buff Booster.

Her Valkyrie Charge deals 175% damage to the target and nearby enemies, but that’s not all: it makes them 1) immune to new buffs for 3 turns, 2) gives them -34% defense against Special Skills for 3 turns, and 3) gives them -64% mana generation for 3 turns. All of that at Fast mana speed, too! The enemy better have a cleanser in their midst or else it’s game over for them in a heartbeat!

What Makes Mist Great For Buff Booster:

• Deals 175% damage to the target and nearby enemies and makes them immune to new buffs for 3 turns
• Gives the target and nearby enemies -34% defense against Special Skills for 3 turns
• Gives the target and nearby enemies  -64% mana generation for 3 turns

5. Poseidon Costume

Mighty seas!

Very much worth the title of “King of the Seas,’ Poseidon Costume is also a great hero to utilize during Buff Booster. 

His Tidal Slayer, at Fast Mana Speed, hits like a truck dealing 480% damage to the target. But his protective buff is where it’s at, as he makes all his allies immune to status ailments for 3 turns at the same time too. Considering the number of debuffers who are out to play during tournaments? He’s definitely worth catching to use against them all. 

What Makes Poseidon Costume Great For Buff Booster:

• Has Fast mana speed
• Deals 480% damage to the target
• Makes all allies immune to new status ailments for 3 turns 

4. Domitia 

Flat abs for days!

Domitia takes on a lot of roles as a hero, making her a fantastic addition to any team.

Her Shock Bolt deals 410% damage to a single target, gives herself and nearby allies +94% defense against Holy for 4 turns, and dispels buffs from the target and nearby enemies, too! This makes her awesome to include in a lineup facing mostly Holy allies, considering with her defensive buff active, she can protect herself and her nearby allies well while enjoying that sweet buff boost in return. Now that’s grace under pressure!

What Makes Domitia Great For Buff Booster:

• Deals 410% damage to the target
• Gives +94% defense against Holy for 4 turns
• Dispels buffs from the target and nearby enemies

3. Khagan 

A scowl that can weaken the knees!

Two active buffs are always better than one, which makes Khagan a great hero to put to use during Buff Booster Tournaments.

His Khan’s Order deals 320% damage to the target and nearby allies as well as gives himself and his nearby allies +24% mana generation and +63% defense for 5 turns. With these two buffs active, you’ll surely get to enjoy that sweet, sweet buff boost too! You may want to put him as a tank to make up for his Slow mana speed - and soon you’ll get to see his worth!

What Makes Khagan Great For Buff Booster:

• Deals 320% damage to the target and nearby enemies
• Gives +24% mana generation to himself and nearby allies
• Gives +63% defense to himself and nearby allies

2. Brynhild

Another angel from above!

A great tank all-around, Brynhild is one of those heroes that can frustrate the heck out of anyone she’s fighting.

With Buff Booster being a haven for dispellers, Brynhild makes her presence felt considering her Valkyrie Defense makes her and her nearby allies immune to buff dispels for 3 turns. Because that’s not annoying enough, she also heals herself and her nearby allies for 37% health and gives them +74% defense against Special Skills for 3 turns too! Put her in between your two strongest attackers in the team and she’ll basically make them unkillable - and your team the victor in war.  

What Makes Brynhild Great For Buff Booster:

• Recovers 37% health for the caster and nearby allies
• Makes herself and nearby allies immune to buff dispels for 3 turns
• Gives herself and nearby allies +74% defense against Special Skills for 3 turns

1. Kageburado Costume

That horn!

What’s better than Fast mana speed? How about Very Fast indeed?

Kagaburado Costume, like Domitia, just does so many things with his Beetle Strike - all meant to kill the enemy, of course. He dispels buffs from the target, deals 320% damage to them, makes them immune to new buffs for 2 turns, and gives them -34% defense for 2 turns, too! If the first strike doesn’t kill them, don’t worry - he’ll just do it again and again and again. Now that’s a scary hero to face in a normal fight - what more if he’s surrounded by buffers, which he would be during the Tournament anyway?

What Makes Kageburado Costume Great For Buff Booster:

• Dispels buffs from the target
• Deals 320% to the target
• Makes the immune to new buffs and gives them -34% defense for 2 turns
