[Top 10] Empires and Puzzles Best Hero Combinations That Wreck Hard (Latest Patch)

Who's Best Paired With Whom?

No pain, No gain!

When playing Empires and Puzzles, one of the most important things players need to think about is teambuilding. With so many heroes available for summoning in-game, which of them should you include in your teams to wreak havoc in PvP battles and/or fighting titans? Which heroes should you put together to inflict maximum pain on your enemies? Here we have our list of the Top 10 Best Hero Combinations that Wreck Hard (Latest Patch).

10. Proteus + Li Xiu

What do you get when you combine two mana controllers? A whole lot of mana controlling, of course!

Proteus remains one of the most valuable heroes you can have considering his Scar of the Depths prevents his target and nearby enemies from gaining mana for 3 turns, which is pretty darn annoying especially if he targets the healer/cleanser of the enemy side. He also inflicts 327 damage over 3 turns on them, too. Not to be outdone, our girl Li Xiu reduces whatever mana all the enemies have accumulated by 20%, as well as deals 150% damage to them with her Slash of Seven Blades. The enemy also can’t take advantage of their elements to beat them considering Proteus is Dark and Li Xiu is Holy. With these two on your attack team, whatever type of enemy you face may not even gain enough mana to unleash their Special Skills on you!

What Makes This Combo Great:

  • Their Special Skills prevent the enemies from gaining mana and/or reduce their mana by 20%
  • Enemies can’t use elements to their advantage considering Proteus and Li Xiu are Dark and Holy, respectively

9. Isarnia + Quintus

Who says Slow Heroes from Season 1 are useless? Not when their Special Skills are best used together - like our tag-team Isarnia and Quintus!

Isarnia’s Glacial Shatter doles out pain to her enemies in two ways. It deals 235% damage to all of them, as well as gives them -44% defense for 6 turns. And who better to take advantage of that debuff than a hero who attacks all enemies, too? Quintus’ Thunder Ultimatum does just that. It deals 270% damage to all enemies, which, if they’re already suffering from the defense down ailment? May just be a death sentence waiting to happen. If their Slow Mana Speed turns you off, then don’t worry - use these two whenever Rush Attack is on. Lastly, since they’re both Season 1 Heroes, they’re always available in Summon Portals, and can even be gotten through Training Camps/Hero Academy. The odds of getting them both soon might just be in your favor!

What Makes This Combo Great:

  • Both deal damage to all enemies
  • Quintus can take advantage of the defense down Isarnia inflicts
  • Good to use during Rush Attacks
  • Both are summonable from Portals or taken from Training Camp/Hero Academy

8. Freya + Bera

What if you don’t want to deal with your enemies yourself, and just want to let your minions destroy them via a slow, torturous, poison-filled death? Then use both Freya and Bera in your team!

This unholy combination - considering they’re both Dark Heroes with Fast Mana Speed - spells a ton of neverending, beefed-up minions in no time. Freya’s Raven’s Vigil summons ravens that give +120% attack to all its owner's other Minions and blesses all her allies with +30% defense for 4 turns. Meanwhile, Bera’s Moth Minions give their target 180 Poison damage over 3 turns per hit and prevent them from getting new minions for 3 turns. The enemy better have a Minion Eater, Dispeller, and Cleanser on their side before even attempting to take on a team with both Freya and Bera in it!

What Makes This Combo Great:

  • A constant stream of Minions summoned at Fast Mana Speed
  • Freya’s Special Skill gives all her allies +30% defense for 4 turns
  • Bera’s Special Skill gives her enemies Poison damage and prevents them from summoning their own minions

7. Wilbur + Tarlak

In one word, this combo can be described as delicious.

Wilbur’s Wonderful Feast beefs up his team defensively, as they all get to share received damage with each other for 4 turns and enjoy +63% defense while at it. Meanwhile, his enemies also share damage with each other - while suffering through -44% defense for 4 turns. And then comes Tarlak’s Martial Prowess to take advantage of this debuff! He gives all his allies +100% normal attack for 4 turns, as well as allows them all to regenerate 324 HP over 4 turns. Give their team three other attackers and watch the enemies melt away! Offensively and defensively, these two boys have got their team covered!

What Makes This Combo Great:

  • Defensively, the team gets to share damage with +63% defense and 324 HP regenerated over 4 turns
  • Offensively, all their allies get +100% normal attack for 4 turns which can take advantage of the -44% defense the enemies have

6. Telluria + Vela

A Match Made in Legends Heaven? You betcha.

So many teams have these two together because they work so well - which is a Bad Thing for their enemies. Telluria’s Force of Forest does a ton of things: deals 130% damage to all enemies and gives them -24% mana generation for 2 turns, as well as summons minions for her allies and allows them to regenerate 306 HP over 2 turns. Meanwhile, Vela also deals 130% damage to all her enemies and gives them 171 Water damage and -34% attack for 4 turns as well. And to make things even better, these two heroes are both Legends from 2020 - making them both enjoy Legends Family Bonus (Healing!)

What Makes This Combo Great:

  • Both heroes attack all enemies with 130% damage
  • Both heroes give their enemies debuff (-24% mana generation and -34% attack)
  • Both heroes benefit from Legends 2020 Family Bonus

5. Guardian Jackal + Joon

The next hero combinations in our list take advantage of elemental debuffs when taking out the enemy - beginning with Guardian Jackal and Joon.

Guardian Jackal’s Ray Strike softens the enemy up by giving them both 270% damage as well as the -54% defense against Holy for 4 turns. And who better to maximize this opening than another Holy Hero? Joon’s Solar Beam might just spell doom to them given its 468% damage - and if they survive that, they get to suffer -40% accuracy for 6 turns, too. Considering their Very Fast/Fast Mana Speed, this makes this duo a must when facing a team of Dark Heroes in battle, or better yet, a Dark Titan!

What Makes This Combo Great:

  • Guardian Jackal gives the target -54% defense against Holy for 4 turns, which Joon can exploit with his Solar Beam
  • Both heroes have Very Fast/Fast Mana Speed
  • Awesome to use against  Dark Heroes and Titans

4. Marjana Costume + Marjana

A great thing about Empires and Puzzles is that players are allowed to use multiple copies of a hero in a single team - which is how a combination of Marjana Costume and OG Marjana is even possible, with both showcasing their Fast Mana Speed!

Marjana’s costume’s Lava Blast inflicts 358% damage to the target and minor damage to nearby enemies, but more importantly, it leaves the three of them with -54% defense against Fire for 3 turns. Not to be outdone, her regular version’s Magma Smash can easily take advantage of that debuff by dealing 458% damage to the target as well as giving them 300 burn damage over 6 turns! If these two are surrounded by other Fire Heroes? It won’t be long until their enemy is burned to a crisp - especially if they’re a Nature Hero or even a Nature Titan!

What Makes This Combo Great:

  • Both have Fast Mana Speed
  • Her costume gives the enemy and nearby targets defense down against Fire, which Marjana can take advantage of with her Magma Smash
  • Awesome to use against Nature Heroes and Titans

3. Panther + Sartana

Dark Heroes have their awesome combinations, too - just ask Guardian Panther and Sartana over here!

Guardian Panther’s a must-have hero considering her Fast Mana Speed as well as her invaluable ability to give her target and nearby enemies -54% defense against Dark for 4 turns, on top of the 210% damage and dispel of their buffs. Meanwhile, matching her speed is Sartana - who gives a single target 452% damage as well as 306 Poison damage over 6 turns! These two are deadly on their own, but to make them even deadlier? Give them other Dark attackers who can help take enemies down faster - especially if they’re Holy Heroes or Titans!

What Makes This Combo Great:

  • Both have Fast Mana Speed
  • Sartana can exploit the defense down against Dark given by Guardian Panther
  • Awesome to use against Holy Heroes or Titans

2. Evelyn + Lianna

We all know Lianna’s already a great sniper, but Evelyn definitely makes her deadlier!

Both heroes have Fast Mana Speed - which sets up the horror they’re about to inflict on their enemies. Evelyn’s Shattering Warcry deals 210% damage to the target and nearby enemies and dispels buffs from them - as well as leaves them with -54% damage against Nature for 4 turns. Taking advantage of this is our friend Lianna - who can easily one-shot her target with her 512% damage to them. Oof! And since they’re both Nature, Evelyn’s Element Link will also come to play, making them recover 4% health for 6 turns. Good luck to Ice Heroes or Titans who happen to be in their way - they won’t be for long!

What Makes This Combo Great:

  • Both have Fast Mana Speed
  • Lianna can exploit the defense down against Nature given by Evelyn
  • Awesome to use against Ice Heroes or Titans

1. Frida + Master Lepus Costume

Last but certainly not the least in our list is of the Icy variety - and they’re both multi-hitting heroes, too!

Frida’s Polar Bash deals 290% damage to the target and nearby enemies as well as dispels buffs from them - but she won’t be on this list if not for her added value of giving them -54% defense against Ice for 4 turns, too! And because having multiple enemies suffering debuffs is too good an opportunity to pass up, Master Lepus Costume can certainly exploit that opening by attacking them all with 280% damage! Considering his ability has a downside of -24% mana generation for 4 turns though, it's best to use his attack only after Frida's used hers for maximum damage. While useful against Fire Titans, these two can really wreak havoc in wars and tournaments where multiple enemies can be found - so unleash them there!

What Makes This Combo Great:

  • Both hit multiple enemies
  • Master Lepus Costume can exploit the defense down against Ice given by Frida
  • Awesome to use against Fire Titans, but better used during Wars, Tournaments, and Raids

Use these heroes together and watch your enemies disappear in no time at all. Good luck!

Thank you for your list, with its insightful and humorous take on each champ. I wish i saw this earlier. But now i know that proteus is top of the list. And I agree as a season 2019 player looking at the new champs, the passives on the Dune champs are next level! cheers!
