[Top 15] Empires and Puzzles Best Classic Heroes That Are Powerful

Classically awesome!

Oldies but Goodies!

Ah, the Classic Heroes, or those who hailed from Season 1 and have been available in the game since the very beginning. Many would feel disappointed when heroes from this bunch are summoned from portals instead of the more “desirable” seasonal ones, but we wouldn’t recommend discarding them just yet. They still have a lot of fight left in them after all, and can be of use to players - most especially the newer ones, as well as those who chose to be F2P/C2P! Here are our top picks for the Top 15 Empires and Puzzles Best Classic Heroes that Are Powerful.

15. Wu Kong

Wu Kong

Wu-acha!

No list would be complete without a hero seemingly built to take down Titans, and for Season 1 heroes, that role is fulfilled by none other than Wu Kong.

His Gambler’s Stance gives all allies a fantastic +185% attack, though it comes with them suffering -32% accuracy for 5 turns. Unfortunately, the chance to miss also applies to the heroes’ offensive skills, so some of those attacks may not even land on the enemy with Wu Kong’s Special Skill in effect. It may seem like a steep price to pay, but look at things this way: heroes are still left with a 68% chance not to miss. Also? Deploying a mono team of the element superior to the Titan’s with Wu Kong makes them all extra deadly - and extra ready to take down the enemy. We think those odds are worth betting on!

What Makes Wu Kong Great:

  • Awesome to use when fighting Titans - Especially if deployed with a mono team of the superior element
  • Buffer - gives all allies +185% attack (with -32% accuracy)

14. Sonya

Sonya

Armed and gorgeous!

Dispel is an extremely useful skill to use in battles - someone has to remove those annoying positive buffs enjoyed by the enemies, after all. And if you like your dispel delivered by one sturdy gal, then you can’t go wrong with Sonya over here!

Her Piercing Strike deals 345% damage to the target, but more importantly, it dispels buffs from all enemies, too. She’s a good hero to put in defense teams considering her defensive stats are nothing to sneeze at, and the more she’s hit, the faster she can dish out dispels. And even if she’s not hit? At Fast Mana Speed, she can unleash her Special Skill at a speedier rate. All hail Sonya!

What Makes Sonya Great:

  • Dedicated dispeller - dispels buffs from all enemies
  • Good defensive stats - great to include in defensive teams
  • Fast Mana Speed - can unleash Special Skill quicker

13. Caedmon

Caedmon

Old and formidable!

However, if you want your dispel delivered with a little more oomph, then Caedmon may just be the man for the job!

His version of Piercing Strike is the same as Sonya’s, as it also deals 345% damage to the target and dispels buffs from all enemies at Fast Mana Speed. However, Caedmon’s attack is a bit higher than Sonya’s, meaning the damage he deals may just be a bit more than hers - especially against Ice heroes. This makes him a good addition to your offensive lineup - particularly if you’re facing Blue teams, which he’s naturally superior against!

What Makes Caedmon Great:

  • Dedicated dispeller - dispels buffs from all enemies
  • Good offensive stats - great to include in offensive teams
  • Fast Mana Speed - can unleash Special Skill quicker

12. Grimm

Grimm

What a Grimm Expression!

One of the earliest 4* heroes to hand out defense downs just so happens to still be one of the most reliable - and the verdict is Grimm!

His Ramming Pulverizer deals 295% damage to the target and minor damage to nearby enemies, but the more menacing aspect of this skill is that it also gives them -34% defense for 6 turns. This basically sets them up for pain and eventual defeat at the hands of Grimm’s allies - or even Grimm himself - especially if they don’t have a cleanser in their lineup to get rid of this pesky debuff!

What Makes Grimm Great:

  • Multi-target attacker - deals damage to the target and nearby enemies
  • Debuffer - also gives them defense down for 6 turns

11. Li Xiu

Li Xiu

Ready to Slap Some Foes

Some heroes make players think twice about attacking them head-on - and Li Xiu remains to be one of them!

Her Slash of Seven Blades isn’t deadly on the surface; it “only” deals 150% damage to all enemies after all. But the deadly part of this attack comes right after, since it immediately reduces the mana of all enemies by a whopping 20%! Say goodbye to full mana gauges; after Li Xiu attacks, they won’t be. This is why she’s one of the earliest most desirable tanks in the game; her Special Skill is a trolling tactic waiting to happen!

What Makes Li Xiu Great:

  • Multi-target attacker - deals damage to all enemies
  • Mana controller - reduces mana of all enemies by 20%

10. Isarnia

Isarnia

Stop! In the Name of Ice

Even in the early days of the game, uberpowerful heroes already pay the price for their uberpowerfulness by having Slow mana speed - and Isarnia still carries that burden to this day!

Her Glacial Shatter attacks all enemies and gives them 235% damage which can put a dent in any hero’s HP. However, like her 4* brother Grimm, Isarnia’s specialty is in setting her enemies up for taking more pain via giving them -44% defense for 6 turns, making them all the easier to get rid of. Her slowness may turn off a lot of players from using her outright, but there’s still some areas in the game where she can shine - namely, Rush Attacks. Unleash the ice then and never look back!

What Makes Isarnia Great:

  • Multi-target attacker - targets and deals damage to all enemies
  • Debuffer - gives all enemies defense down
  • Awesome to use during Rush Attacks - to make up for her Slow Mana Speed as all skills then are set to Very Fast

9. Kadilen

Kadilen

The Princess Protector

Kadilen’s costume is one of the most sought-after heroes in the game, but her original variant is also awesome at what it offers - protection!

Her Eclipse Shield, at Fast Mana Speed, deals 190% damage to all enemies. However, this attack comes with a great buff considering it also gives all Kadilen’s teammates +74% defense against Special Skills for 3 turns! With this ability in effect, it can seriously dull any offensive attack flung her team’s way - making her a great hero to deploy in defensive teams. Original or costume, Kadilen’s definitely one gorgeous girl - and one formidable heroine!

What Makes Kadilen Great:

  • Multi-target attacker - deals damage to all enemies
  • Fast Mana Speed - can unleash her skill quicker
  • Buffer - gives all allies +74% defense against Special Skills for 3 turns

8. Azlar

Azlar

Here kitty kitty

Seeing him on the enemy side? Makes players scramble to bring a healer along Just In Case. Or is it just us?

His Volcanic Eruption is arson waiting to happen - albeit at slow mana speed. Firstly, it deals 205% damage to all enemies - but the real pain happens afterwards, in the form of 360 burn damage over 6 turns! It’s like an attack that keeps on attacking long after Azlar’s done with his skill - which is amazing. Is it any wonder why some players still actively use him, especially once limit-broken and emblemed?

What Makes Azlar Great:

  • Multi-target attacker - deals damage to all enemies
  • Gives Status ailment - in the form of burn damage
  • Awesome to use during Rush Attacks - to make up for his Slow Mana Speed as all skills then are set to Very Fast

7. Elena

Elena

Fight her, we dare you!

One of the most well-known faces in the game, Elena dishes out a lot of pain in two ways - and both hurt like heck!

Her Wall of Swords outrightly deals 202% damage to all enemies, but that’s not all. She’s definitely set up to be in the frontlines considering her skill also grants herself and nearby allies the ability to counterattack with 125% of the damage they received for 5 turns! And what’s more, she’s from the Fighter Class - those amazing heroes who can revive themselves with 1 HP after being given a deadly attack. Use her during Rush Attacks and see what she can really do for you!

What Makes Elena Great:

  • Multi-target attacker - deals damage to all enemies
  • Counter-attacking hero - gives herself and nearby allies the ability to counterattack with 125% of the damage they received
  • From the Fighter Class - may revive herself with 1 HP after being given a deadly blow
  • Awesome to use during Rush Attacks - to make up for her Slow Mana Speed as all skills then are set to Very Fast

6. Boldtusk

Boldtusk

Those horns mean business!

A 4* hero this high up on our list? Very few of them can claim that distinction - and man does Boldtusk deserve it!

His Warcry is a healing buff that’s amazing and useful even until today despite the sea of new heroes in the game. It recovers 27% health for all allies at first, but its real power lies in powering up Boldtusk’s allies in the form of +48% attack for 4 turns! He’s a great healing tank just for this very reason. What’s more, like Elena he’s from the Fighter Class too! We love our healers, we love our buffers - so Boldtusk is very much beloved!

What Makes Boldtusk Great:

  • Good to use as a Healing tank - the more he’s attacked, the more he heals
  • Buffer - gives all allies +48% attack for 4 turns
  • From the Fighter Class - may revive himself with 1 HP after being given a deadly blow

5. Sartana

Sartana

Queen of Poison

And now we’ve come to the fantastic OG fast snipers of the game - and starting the list is none other than our horned queen Sartana!

Her Deathstrike is aptly named as it deals 452% damage to the target. If that doesn’t finish them off - especially if her target’s a Holy hero! - the 306 poison damage over 6 turns just might, more so if the enemy doesn’t have a fast-acting cleanser in their lineup! For this reason, she’s still a good offensive dark hero to summon - or even get from the Training Camp and/or Hero Academy!

What Makes Sartana Great:

  • Fast Mana Speed - can unleash her skill quicker
  • Sniper - attacks and deals 452% damage to one enemy
  • Gives Status Ailment - in the form of poison damage

4. Marjana

Marjana

Aye-aye, captain!

Fast paced raw fire power? This Red Lady has that - in many ways!

Marjana’s Magma Smash deals 458% damage to the enemy, which is not an easy thing to survive particularly if she unleashes it on a Nature hero. However, just like Azlar her attack just keeps on trucking on, as her target also suffers 300 burn damage over 6 turns! Truly Marjana’s awesome at what she does - at being gorgeously offensive!

What Makes Marjana Great:

  • Fast Mana Speed - can unleash her skill quicker
  • Sniper - attacks and deals 452% damage to one enemy
  • Gives Status Ailment - in the form of poison damage

3. Joon

Joon

Lit with power!

Fast-acting sniper who deals status effects? Of course the Holy element has one just like it too - and it’s in the form of Joon!

His Solar Beam deals a massive 468% damage to a single target - which hurts like heck, especially if the recipient is a Dark hero. As if this isn’t enough, this Special Skill also gives his target -40% accuracy for 6 turns - meaning it can sometimes render their own skills and attacks harmless to Joon’s team. And who better to suffer this ailment than most Titans? This makes him a great addition to any kind of team, be they offensive or defensive in nature. A good hero Joon still is!

What Makes Joon Great:

  • Fast Mana Speed - can unleash his skill quicker
  • Sniper - attacks and deals 468% damage to one enemy
  • Gives Status Ailment - makes them less accurate and miss their target when attacking

2. Magni

Magni

Magni-ficent!

We love a fast offensive defensive hybrid hero - and Ice has it in one magni-ficent package!

Magni’s Strike of the Ancients deals 420% damage to the enemy - which hurts tons, particularly if they’re a Fire hero. But what makes Magni especially awesome is that he protects his team members too, considering his Special Skill also gives him and nearby allies +63% defense for 4 turns! This makes him fantastic to put in the frontlines so that 3 teammates, including himself, will benefit from this buff. Lastly, he’s from the Fighter class, meaning he may even revive himself if dealt with a deadly blow. Awesome sauce, right?

What Makes Magni Great:

  • Fast Mana Speed - can unleash his skill quicker
  • Sniper - attacks and deals 420% damage to one enemy
  • Buffer - gives himself and nearby allies +63% defense for 4 turns
  • From the Fighter Class - may revive himself with 1 HP after being given a deadly blow

1. Lianna

Lianna

Elven deadliness!

And our top fast heroine deserves the honor because she excels at what she does, plain and simple - and that is to kill.

Lianna only has one skill under her belt, unlike the others on the list. But don’t let it fool you - her Perfect Shot deals a massive 512% damage to a single target, which can mean death to an enemy, particularly if they’re of the Ice variety. She’s the perfect sniper by every definition of the word - and one still valuable to use against all types of enemies, even Titans!

What Makes Lianna Great:

  • Fast Mana Speed - can unleash her skill quicker
  • Sniper - attacks and deals 512% damage to one enemy
  • Good to use against Titans - especially Ice ones

And that’s our list of the Top 15 Empires and Puzzles Best Classic Heroes That Are Powerful! These guys and gals prove that being old school doesn’t mean they’re useless - and you can’t go wrong with these heroes in your team!
