Oh no! Ya better run, he's gonna get ya! Ah nevermind, he's just a Jason Voorhees wannabe....

I always get asked what the best survivors are, and what gives the best results. This is an updated survivor top ten list that includes the latest survivors. As the game adds updates and nerfs, this list is subject to change, and this is also just my humble opinion. ENJOY!

This list will be the top ten best survivors in Dead by Daylight. However, in this game, the survivors are just skins. What we really want to tell people is what perks are the best within the kit of the survivor. So I have put together this list of the top ten survivors (Based on their base kit perks). Each survivor starts with 3 base kit perks. I am only going to state whichever perks in their arsenal are good. Starting from level 35 every survivors base kit perks will become “teachable perks”. What this means is that you will be able to learn their perks on other survivors through the blood web. ALSO, each survivor can only equip 4 perks within a single loadout. So choose wisely which perks you would like to bring into the fog.

10. Mikaela Reid

Mikaela Reid was released with the chapter “Hour of the Witch”

  • Boon: Circle of Healing - This is a perk that requires you to “bless” a dull totem around the map, once you do it will turn blue, and it will allow you to heal yourself without having to have a medkit item within its radius of 24 meters. This perk can also stack with other perks to make healing faster for instance. The drawback is you have to activate it, on some maps you won’t even be able to find a single dull totem. A killer can hear it make an audible chime noise and stomp it out, requiring you to reactivate it.

  • Boon: Shadow Step - This perk requires you to activate it just like Circle of Healing, when in the radius of the totem, all auras that you would emit and scratch marks that you would leave would not be visible to the killer.

9. Dwight Fairfield

  • Bond - The Auras of all other Survivors within 20/28/36 meters of your location are revealed to you. (Depending on the tier of the perk) That’s all it does, it is quite helpful if paired with other perks, but by itself, it’s nothing to squawk at. Maybe if you just really want to keep track of your team.

  • Prove Thyself - This perk increases your repair speed by 15% for each survivor within 4 meters of your location, up to a maximum of 45%. (Depending on the tier of the perk)

Also grants 50/75/100% bonus bloodpoints for Cooperative actions. (Example: Doing a generator with another survivor will give you bonus blood points to use in your blood web.) This perk is good if you love doing generators and getting rewarded for it.

8. Jake Park

  • Iron Will - You can concentrate and enter a meditative-like state to numb some pain. Lowers the volume of Grunts of Pain by 50/75/100% (Depending on the tier of the perk) I run this on my everyday build because I love to get chased and waste time so my friends can do generators. It is so satisfying running around the killer and losing them because they couldn’t hear my injured moans.

7. Nea Karlsson

  • Balanced Landing - This is by far her best perk. To activate this perk you must jump off of a high ledge, once you land you won’t get staggered as easily, and you won’t grunt loudly as you land. You will also get a speed boost of 150% of your normal Running Movement speed for 3 seconds as you land on the ground. This is a perk used for a good getaway from the killer. The only drawback is that it can only be activated by jumping off of high places. It will also cause you to have the exhausted effect for a certain duration of time. Once exhausted you can not use it again until the exhausted effect ends.

6. Feng Min

Feng Min was released with the Spark of Madness chapter.

  • Lithe - This is by far her best perk. This perk is very similar to the likes of Nea’s Balanced Landing, but you have to vault through windows or pallets. That’s the only difference. Same stat percentages.  It will also cause you to have the exhausted effect for a certain duration of time. Once exhausted you can not use it again until the exhausted effect ends.

5. Meg Thomas

  • Quick and Quiet - This perk suppresses both the Loud Noise Notification and the sound effects triggered by rushing to vault or rushing to enter or exit lockers.

Quick & Quiet has a cool-down of 30/25/20 seconds before it can be activated again. (depending on the tier of the perk.)

  • Sprint Burst - This perk is also used for a quick getaway much like Lithe and Balanced Landing. Whenever you press the sprint button you will get a speed boost of 150% of your normal Running Movement speed for 3 seconds

  • Adrenaline - Once the Exit Gates are powered, instantly heal one Health State and sprint at 150% of your normal Running Movement speed for 5 seconds.

Adrenaline is on hold if you are disabled at the moment it triggers and will instead activate upon being freed.

Adrenaline ignores an existing Exhaustion timer but causes the Exhausted Status Effect for 60/50/40 seconds.

4. Claudette Morel

  • Self Care - This perk allows you to heal yourself anywhere in the trial without a totem or an item. Reduces personal healing speed by -50%.

  • Empathy - This perk allows you to see injured or dying survivors in the trial within 64/96/128 meters of your location (Depending on the tier of the perk.) Does not allow you to see survivors being carried by the killer.

3. David King

  • Dead Hard - When David is injured he can do a dash forward to dodge a hit from the killer. Activate this by pressing your ability button (E On the Keyboard if on PC.)  It will also cause you to have the exhausted effect for a certain duration of time. Once exhausted you can not use it again until the exhausted effect ends.

2. William “Bill” Overbeck

Bill Overbeck was released with the Left 4 Dead chapter as a collaboration.

  • Borrowed Time - For 8/10/12 seconds after unhooking a Survivor, the unhooked Survivor is protected by the Endurance Status Effect. Any damage taken that would put the Survivor into the Dying State will instead trigger the Deep Wound Status Effect, after which the Survivor has 20 seconds to mend themselves. Taking damage while under the effect of Deep Wound or if its timer runs out will put the Survivor into the Dying State.

  • Unbreakable - Once per Trial, you can completely recover from the Dying State

  • Your Recovery speed is increased by 25/30/35%. (Depending on the tier of the trial.)

1. Laurie Strode

Laurie Strode was released with the Halloween Chapter.

  • Decisive Strike - After being unhooked or unhooking yourself, This perk activates for the next 40/50/60 seconds (depending on the tier of the perk)

  • When being grabbed or picked up by the Killer, succeed in a Skill Check to automatically escape their grasp, stunning them for 5 seconds.

While Decisive Strike is active, the following interactions will deactivate it: Repairing a generator, healing yourself or others, cleansing or blessing a totem, sabotaging a hook, and unhooking other survivors.
