10 Most Important Changes in The Apex Legends 2.33 Update

Most Important Changes in The Apex Legends 2.33 Update

1. World’s Edge After Dark

World’s Edge is finally back in its dark state, as World’s Edge After Dark is coming back to the game. This time though, the bewitched battleground has some massive changes, as some old-school locations are coming back in this twisted mode. You can enter the Pain Yard or even fight towards The Tree for glory.

On top of this, you can even play a brand new game mode featuring floating Revenant heads to lob at your foes.

2. Collection Event

With every Apex Legends update comes a massive collection event, and this patch is no different. The Harbingers collection event is coming, with amazing skins for Seer, Gibby, Bloodhound, Fuse and Bangalore. The Bangalore skin is especially amazing and is the best skin they've ever released for her.

You can either purchase the entire event through packs, buy bundles in the store or even get a free event pack for playing during the event period.

3. Fuse Heirloom

Speaking of buying out the entire event, if you do buy every skin and cosmetic, you are rewarded with what might just be the best Heirloom in the game. Fuse is finally getting his Heirloom, and it's amazing.

Though theories about his loom have been looking towards a Baseball bat for ages now, it looks like Apex instead went with an electric guitar. This Heirloom has some fantastic easter eggs to his relationship with Bloodhound, a lot of cool guitar animations and even a shoey to top it all off.

4. Free Reward Tracker

Like every event in Apex, we also get a Free Reward Tracker that gives us some great cosmetics. Each day in Apex you can earn 1400 points towards the tracker, meaning after a few days you can earn all the items.

This event tracker isn't as good as previous years, but it's not bad. Inside you can find a Sentinel Skin, a charm based on the Bangalore event skin and even a Mad Maggie Skin to top it all off.

5. 30-30 Entering The Crafter

Now onto some gameplay changes, as it looks like the 30-30 is entering the crafter after being removed from the floor loot pool. This may seem like a weird change, but it's actually due to the recent meta Apex has been seeing.

Throughout this season more and more people have been using the 30-30 for ranged fights, and clearly, Respawn wants to change that up a bit. So, the 30-30 is leaving the floor and going into the crafter as a response, but something else is taking its place on the ground.

6. Nemesis Back in Floor Loot Rotation

With the 30-30 going into the crafter, something needs to come out, and it looks like that's going to be the infamous Nemesis Burst AR. This gun has been fantastic since it was released, but it's not coming out without any changes.

The Nemesis is being nerfed once it comes out of the crafter, having its damage reduced to 16 from 17 and its ADS recoil increased. The gun should still be fantastic, but let's wait and see if it's going to shape the meta once again.

7. Horizon Nerf

Speaking of Nerfs, we can't have an Apex Legends patch without some legend changes, and this time it looks like Horizon got the rough end of the stick. She has received a lot of changes over the years, but it looks like Respawn isn't done with her yet.

In this new patch, her Gravity Lift is seeing some changes. Here is what they changed:

Gravity Lift

  • Weapon accuracy decreased while in Lift (more spread)
  • Vertical Lift speed reduced by 20%
  • Hover time at the top of Lift reduced to 0.5s (was 2.0s)

8. Revenant Fixes

One legend who needed some changes is the newly reworked Revenant, as he had lots of issues. There were a lot of bugs around his kit, and those have seemingly been ironed out, but he also received some extra tweaks.

Here's what they did to him:

Forged Shadows

  • Reduce time extension from knocks to 5s (was 10s)
  • Extra damage to the shroud will bleedthrough to Revenant if it breaks

Shadow Pounce

  • Slightly increased pounce angle compensation when looking at the ground

9. Fuse Changes

In what seems to be the tradition when a legend gets their Heirloom, Fuse is also getting some changes. Though it's nothing major, it looks like they have increased the casting time for his Knuckle Cluster. We don't know the exact measurements of this buff, but hopefully, it will be great for those Fuse mains out there.

In the future, hopefully, Fuse will get some major changes to truly make him a great legend as right now he isn't great.

10. Rampart Buffs

Speaking of a legend who isn't great, some of the most significant changes we saw in this patch were actually to Rampart of all legends. Rampart is a very hard legend to balance, but these changes are going to make her instantly better.

Rather than looking at the power of Sheila, Respawn has changed her walls. They have now increased the building speed of her walls by making them take 2 seconds rather than the previous 3. This is a massive buff but it doesn't end there. We can also see that Rampart stays in her placement mode after putting down a wall, which should allow her to place 3 instantly.

I guess Rampart is now playing her own small game of Fortnite in an Apex lobby, we love to see it.
