Bitten by a radioactive spider, Peter Parker went from a High School Outcast to one of America’s most iconic Superheroes.  Fueled by the death of his Uncle Ben, Spider-Man would swing valiantly through the sky, scale the tallest building, and utilize his Spidey Sense to seek out and stop crime.  From teen nerd to an icon, Spider-Man is a symbol for everyone.

Iceman Powers and Abilities

Iceman Overview

Bobby Drake a.k.a Iceman is considered to not only be one of the strongest X-Men but one of the strongest superheroes ever.  Drake’s a confirmed Omega Level Mutant, which would put him at the top of the Mutant Class.  It’s also firmly believed that Iceman hasn’t even reached his peak in terms of his powers.  This is one Icy S.O.B you don’t want to mess with.

Iceman List of Powers and Abilities

How the Battle Would go Down

I’ll just be brutally blunt about this.  It’s going to be a cold day in hell for the Web-Slinger when he goes toe to toe with Iceman.  Yeah, Spider-Man is a tough superhero and one of the strongest out there, but right now he’s dealing with an Omega Leveled Mutant.  That means Iceman is on the same level as Mutant Superstars like Magneto, Jean Grey, and the mind-bending Professor X.  This fight is an Iceman win through and through.  Let's comb through the details and find out why.

Spider-Man is one tough guy,  and he’s proven it on numerous occasions through the comics and on film.  He’s stood toe to toe with some of the best and while he may have gotten a good ass whooping he still managed to come out on top.  He’s got miraculous speed, superhuman strength, and daunting durability.  His Spidey-Sense is paramount in his methods of survival as it’ll usually remove him from harm’s way before he even realizes it.  Spider-Man is also ridiculously intelligent, a gift that was given to him prior to getting his spider-like abilities.  He’s a great fighter and he would put up  a good fight against one of the X-Men’s finest.  His best card here is his speed, this is a fight that would begin as a game of cat and mouse with Iceman going after Spider-Man.  The Web-Head has the agility, but sooner than later Iceman will strike him and with that strike comes the Web-Slinger’s inevitable downfall.

I would factor in location, but that wouldn’t matter when Iceman can manipulate the weather around him and bring it to subzero temperatures.  Now, he might not take this route, after all Iceman’s a good guy, he wouldn’t resort to this unless push came to shove.  I’d bet that he’d start the fight fair and end it fair, with nobility and respect for the Avenger.  Simply put, Iceman’s powers are a little too strong for Spider-Man.  Yeah, Spidey can swing here and there and get a few good hits in, but as soon as Iceman hits him with one of his ice blasts, he’ll gain the upper hand.

Spider-Man’s Spidey-Sense will play a crucial role in this fight but he’s bound to get hit, Spider-Man always gets hit, and that one hit from Iceman would be extremely crucial.  Iceman will move in for a few strikes, all while bringing The Web-Slinger’s core temperature down to the point of submission.  Like the rest of his fellow X-Men, Iceman has morals, through and through he’s a damn fine guy and he wouldn’t kill the Web-Head.  Eventually, he’ll pull his punches and leave with honor and nobility, returning to Professor X’s School for Mutants to reflect on his big win.

I still think Spidey would put up one hell of a fight, he’ll give the X-Man a run for his money.  Utilizing his speed, his strength, and durability.  I can see him drawing a streak of frozen blood on Bobby Drake.  He’ll use his wisecracks and his quips until the very end of the fight and understand that he was beaten by one of the best.  He’d take the loss like a champ and live to fight valiantly on another day.

And the Winner Is…

This is an Iceman victory all the way.  His powers are just too good for Spider-Man.  It would be one hell of a fight, which is ironic seeing as ice would emerge victorious.
