The Web-Slinger takes on The Flash...who would take the win in a Fight between charming dorks???

Spider-Man Powers and Abilities

The One and Only Web-Slinger

Spider-Man Overview

Bitten by a radioactive spider, Peter Parker went from a High School Outcast to one of America’s most iconic Superheroes.  Fueled by the death of his Uncle Ben, Spider-Man would swing valiantly through the sky, scale the tallest building, and utilize his Spidey Sense to seek out and stop crime.  From teen nerd to an icon, Spider-Man is a symbol for everyone.

Spider-Man List of Powers and Abilities

  • The Ultimate sense of a Spider
  • Amazing Web-Slinging Ability
  • Amazing Wall-Crawling Ability
  • The Ability to Lift well over 10 Tons
  • Superior Agility and Speed

The Flash Powers and Abilities

The Flash...The Hero of Central City

The Flash Overview

Barry Allen, the man who would eventually become The Flash.  Allen received his powers after a freak accident involving a lightning bolt and some chemicals.  Since that faithful day, he became the fastest man in the entire world and quite possibly the fastest man throughout the entire comic book universe.  He can run around the world at miraculous speeds, phase through solid objects, attack at blistering speeds, run on water, and travel through time.  They don’t call him “The Flash” for nothing.

The Flash List of Powers and Abilities

  • Insane Superspeed (Possibly the fastest Superhero…ever)
  • Speed Mind (He can think so fast that he can think of every possible outcome and choose the best one)
  • The Ability to Phase through Solid Objects
  • The Ability to Throw Lightning
  • Able to Travel through Time by shattering Time Barriers
  • Queen sang a song about him (No they didn’t)

How the Battle Would go Down

Spider-Man vs. The Flash.  A fight that’s never been covered but only discussed behind the closed doors of Reddit, random forums, and sleepovers amongst friends.  Peter Parker and Barry Allen have a lot in common as superheroes and they would probably make better allies than enemies.  They could both geek out over nerd culture, compare superhero notes, and talk about girls they like.  But this article isn’t about a partnership, it’s about who would win in a brawl…and that accolade goes to The Flash.

The Fastest Man...Ever

I’ve mentioned it before in a previous article but I’m a massive Spider-Man fan.  I have figures, comics, and his logo tattooed on my damn forearm.  The Web-Head is in my Top Three of All-Time Favorite Superheroes, right behind Batman and just in front of Invincible (A PHENOMENAL series).  I felt like a child when I saw him appear in the “Captain America: Civil War” trailer.  I wrote the article for Spider-Man vs. Captain America¸ and it bummed me out to write that he’d lose that battle…and this one isn’t even really close.  The Flash’s powers just dwarf those of The Web-Slinger in an almost unanimous manner.

The Web-Head wouldn’t outright lose this fight, he’d get a few good hits in here and there, maybe even set up a trap to hinder The Flash.  Depending on what kind of suit Spider-Man wears to this fight it may give him a slight upper hand, but I’m going off the mindset that Flash and Spidey meet randomly on the streets of either New York or Central City.  If that’s the case then Spider-Man would be wearing his standard outfit and have his default setup in terms of gadgets and weaponry.  Yes, Spider-Man’s strength overpowers The Flash’s but the main thing that Spidey is lacking is The Flash’s ultimate strength…his speed.

The Flash is just too damn fast.  In the comic’s he’s raced around the world, he can out-think his foes by thinking fast, he can break the sound barrier and he can travel through time.  If he were to get caught up in one of Spider-Man’s traps he can easily phase out of it with no problem seeing as he’s phased through solid objects.  He can also catch The Web-Slinger in a tornado or a vortex and send him spiraling across the battlefield with ease.  Both superheroes have advanced healing but at the speed in which Flash moves and the damage he could inflict, Spidey’s healing abilities would have to work in triple overtime.  This fight goes to The Flash by default, Spider-Man just doesn’t have the appropriate powers or weapons to take him on.

I still think the two of them would be great allies.  They’re both the younglings of their respective Super Hero factions.  They have a tremendous amount in common, and they’re both charming dweebs with wonderful abilities.  I would love to see this tag team happen sometime in the near future.

These Charming Dorks would be better as Best Buds...Just Sayin

And The Winner Is…

This Fight goes to The Flash...Hands Down

This one is an unfortunate no brainer, it goes to the hero of Central City, The Flash.  His abilities are just too good for Spider-Man, some may even argue that he’s criminally overpowered, but I would go as far as to say that The Flash is underrated.  He’s a spectacular superhero and it’s a win that’s well deserved.
