3.  Jungler Build

Unleash explosive damage with this awesome Alpha jungle build. An Alpha jungler shines during the early to mid stages of the game where he collects pick offs from the enemy team that ultimately snowballs his team to victory. With this build, Alpha can be as aggressive as he wants early on by relying on his kit for damage and his skills will be his sole weapon for sustainability. By utilizing a kit focusing on improving his spell vamp, Alpha enjoys increased damage and an insane HP regeneration from his combo of skills!

Utilize this build early on by being aggressive and getting your objectives before the enemy team does.

Use this build if:

  • You are the designated jungler
  • You want to have high damage right from the start
  • Want to carry your team

This build is perfect against a squishy enemy team since Alpha can take the heroes down when he has the buff. Use against Miya, Layla, Vale, and other marksmen.

Emblem that will work best with this build: Assassin Emblem or Jungle Emblem will heighten the abilities of this kit. Try to choose a more suitable emblem based on your playstyle, but an Assassin emblem with high Physical Attack will do you good during a fight.

Choose your skill as follows:

Level 1 : Skill 1 - Rotary Impact: AoE | Slow

Level 2: Skill 2 - Force Swing: AoE | Heal

Level 4: Skill 3 - Alha, Charge!: Blink | CC

Passive: Beta, Advance! | Damage and Slow

Prioritize upgrading the first skill in this build as it has the lowest CD among his skills and it dishes out a decent damage. As the jungler, try to scoop up as much enemies with your skill 3 when you engage to maximize your skills.

Items:

1. Tough boots (700): +22 Magic DEF and +40 Movement speed. Passive lessens user control time by 30%. Can be exchanged with Warrior Boots (720) for Phys DEF.

2. Bloodlust Axe (1970): Provides spellvamp, increases Alpha’s durability

3. War Axe (2100): Provides Phys damage and cooldown reduction. Has a stackable Phys Damage and Phys PEN.

4. Hunter Strike (2010) - gives hero a short 50% speed boost perfect for chasing and an attack speed increase

5. Blade of Despair (3010) - highest damage giving item. Adds 160 Phys Attack and additional 25% damage to low HP enemies

6. Immortality (2120): on spot revival. Revives the hero when killed on top of its additional HP and Physical DEF.

7. (Extra option) Athena’s Shield (2150): Resist burst damage. Perfect against burst type enemy mages like Eudora. User gains 25% magic damage reduction

8. (Extra Option) Antique Cuirass (2170): Gives high HP and Physical DEF. Provides a bit of HP regen. Passive allows stackable increased Phys DEF.

2. Laner Build

EEXP Laner Alpha Items

In a conventional draft where Alpha serves as an EXP laner, it is perfect to have a balance between damage and defense items. This will ensure that your Alpha can dominate his lane but also have survivability incase of surprise attacks. Especially when he is the target of ganking. Start with high damage items and equip Hunter Strike to mitigate the effects of Alpha’s low pace mobility.

A balanced kit works wonders because it allows Alpha to adjust his playstyle depending on the situation, the item build provides items for aggressive offense but can also keep up with a defensive playstyle. This build is ultimately useful for clashes wherein Alpha initiates with his ultimate setup and rolls back out before he gets taken down. Immortality contributes massively to his sustainability with this build.

Use this build if:

  • You are an EXP laner
  • Have on par power with your lane rival
  • Want a balanced hero
  • You will take on a versatile role of initiating and dealing final blows
  • Have no visits from your jungler.

Try this build against heroes like Uranus, Dyrroth, and Sun. Try to out damage them but make sure to get enough DEF items when the skirmishes don’t fall into your favor.

Emblem that will work best with this build: Fighter Emblem with Festival of Blood that increases Alpha’s Spell Vamp. A crucial stat for his gameplay. The points for Physical Attack and Attack speed will significantly increase your DPS.

Choose your skill as follows:

Level 1 : Skill 1 - Rotary Impact: AoE | Slow

Level 2: Skill 2 - Force Swing: AoE | Heal

Level 4: Skill 3 - Alha, Charge!: Blink | CC

Passive: Beta, Advance! | Damage and Slow

Prioritize his skill 1 and skill 2 for both damage and heals. Utilize his skill 3 for clashes since you can take multiple enemies and give your team a solid set. Since Alpha is not an overpowered hero, you need to rely on timing and item builds.

Items:

1. Tough boots (700): +22 Magic DEF and +40 Movement speed. Passive lessens user control time by 30%. Can be exchanged with Warrior Boots (720) for Phys DEF.

2. Hunter Strike (2010) - gives hero a short 50% speed boost perfect for chasing and an attack speed increase

3. Blade of Despair (3010) - highest damage giving item. Adds 160 Phys Attack and additional 25% damage to low HP enemies

4. Bloodlust Axe (1970): Provides spellvamp, increases Alpha’s durability

5. War Axe (2100): Provides Phys damage and cooldown reduction. Has a stackable Phys Damage and Phys PEN.

6. Immortality (2120): on spot revival. Revives the hero when killed on top of its additional HP and Physical DEF.

7. (Extra option) Blade Armor (1960): deals with the continuous basic attacks from marksmen, returns 20% of the damage back to the damage dealer

8. (Extra option) Radiant Armour (1880): Provides HP regen, Magic DEF, and HP. Has scalable Magic damage reduction. Use against mages with continuous damage.

3. Tank Build

Tank Build Alpha Items | Ultimate Defense Kit

A tanky Alpha that serves as an awesome initiator for team fights or surprise ganks. This is just the build for those who want to play Alpha aggressively but don’t want to be vulnerable from burst attacks. A high HP and high DEF build is perfect for keeping up with the enemy's damage. If you want to play an EXP lane Alpha that is durable or a tank/roamer Alpha, then this is an awesome build that gives spell vamp and the ultimate defensive items.

Since this kit is not offense focused, Instead of taking your enemy on with a head to head damage battle, use this build to stay alive and defend your turret. This build will still give Alpha decent damage as long as you designate a slot or two for damage items.

Use this build if:

  • You are the designated roamer
  • Overpowered by enemy fighter
  • Cannot take the burst damage from enemies
  • Your team needs a sustain hero
  • Want a playsafe match

Try this against annoying and durable fighter heroes like Chou, XBorg and even the annoying Zilong.

Emblem that will work best with this build: Tank Emblem with Concussive Blast for extra damage to enemies. Designate points to Vitality for HP and Inspire for the CD reduction.

Choose your skill as follows:

Level 1 : Skill 2 - Force Swing: AoE | Heal

Level 2: Skill 1 - Rotary Impact: AoE | Slow

Level 4: Skill 3 - Alpha, Charge!: Blink | CC

Passive: Beta, Advance! | Damage and Slow

Prioritize his second skill so the heals will keep him durable throughout the match. For a better roaming build, equip Alpha with a Tank Emblem, otherwise a Fighter emblem will suit his kit.

Items:

3. Immortality (2120): on spot revival. Revives the hero when killed on top of its additional HP and Physical DEF.

4. Oracle (2060): Provides HP, Magic Def and CD. The oracles passive is perfect for Alpha’s second skill that heals as the item increases the HP received by 30%

5. Dominance Ice (2010): Reduce enemy heals and regen. Outsustain your rivals by diminishing their regen ability, also adds Mana and physical DEF to the user.

6. Antique Cuirass (2170): Gives high HP and Physical DEF. Provides a bit of HP regen. Passive allows stackable increased Phys DEF.

7. (Extra option) Bruteforce Breastplate (1870): Gives HP, Phys DEF, and cooldown reduction

8. (Extra option) Radiant Armour (1880): Provides HP regen, Magic DEF, and HP. Has scalable Magic damage reduction. Use against mages with continuous damage.

Teammates that will make Alpha awesome:

Since Alpha is a skill reliant hero, he needs the enemies within range while he waits for his skills to reset their cooldown. His 3rd skill or ultimate can do this by setting multiple enemies, but when his ultimate is already used up, a setter in his team may jump in to help Alpha deal the finishing blow. Heroes that can pull enemies together or heroes that provide HP regen are perfect the combos for Alpha:

  • Atlas
  • Tigreal
  • Estes
  • Floryn
  • Rafaela
  • Gatotkaca
