These players are the ones that make a difference.

We've all practiced stepovers and roulettes in the back garden as kids dreaming of being the next Ballon d'Or winner. Haven't we? Anyway, the art of the dribble is the hallmark of a top footballer, for attackers at least. The same is true in the FIFA 20 universe, and here are some of the best in the game this year for all budgets and styles. 

15. Lionel Messi 

The GOAT? Quite possibly. He's appeared in so many of my lists it's hard to argue.

Hold onto your hats everyone. It turns out the best base player dribbling stat belongs to a certain Lionel Messi. Who would have guessed?

Why Messi Is Amazing:

• 4-Star/4-Star to make the most of his 96 Dribbling stat
• In-Game Dribbling Attributes: 97 Dribbling, 96 Composure, 96 Ball Control, 95 Balance, 95 Reactions, 93 Agility.
• Oh, he also has 92 Shooting and 92 Passing. This is still his basic Gold card…
• Give him a Deadeye chem style for 99s all over the place, including Finishing, Long Shots, Vision and Short Passing.

14. Neymar Jr.

A gamechanger for sure, whatever you think of his shenanigans.

The second-best dribbler in the realm of the regular Golds is equally as shocking as the first. A tricky Brazilian superstar that regularly features at the end of season awards? Never!

Why Neymar Is Amazing:

• 5-Star/5-Star with 96 Agility is going to top pretty much any player in the game.
• 94 Acceleration to burst away after tricking through the lines.
• His Gold card is LW but he has some crazy CAM upgrades for those with extra coins.
• If you don’t have the coins then throw a Deadeye at him for 94 Shooting and Passing to go with his 91 Pace and 95 Dribbling, and play him off chem (you won’t notice).

13. Eden Hazard

Right, enough of the regulars, let's have some fun next!

Rounding out our three regular dribbling legends is the third man who also features on my list of amazing Agility players (hence the reason they are so low here, give youth a chance, am I right?!). This won’t be the only time the name Hazard is mentioned though...

Why (Eden) Hazard Is Amazing:

• He’s around 100k which should be totally affordable to anyone at this stage in the game.
• Every Dribbling attribute is over 90.
• 4-Star/4-Star combo with 94 Balance is perfect for a winger.
• Yet another player that benefits best from Deadeye (94 Shooting, 93 Passing).

12. Thorgan Hazard (Second Inform)

This is more like it. Nice family segue, right?

We’re into the fun alternative options now. If Hazard is getting boring... what about Hazard? The younger brother of Eden has had a decent season in Dortmund with two Inform cards.

Why (Thorgan) Hazard Is Amazing:

• The same 4-Star/4-Star combo as Eden, but Thorgan is less than 40k!
• A Hunter chem style gives him 95 Pace with 99 Acceleration.
• His Second Inform is a LF so you can fit him into multiple positions.
• 96 Agility is a big part of why Thorgan is an amazing dribbler.

11. Allan Saint-Maximin (Inform)

The Frenchman is endearing himself to the entire football world during the lockdown.

The Newcastle man is becoming a cult hero at St. James’ Park despite his limited appearances this season. His FUT card is blessed with electric pace from his base 79 to his unreal FUT Birthday.

Why Saint-Maximin Is Amazing:

• This Inform version comes in five times cheaper than his FUT Birthday card, but if you have 1.3million to spend it’s worth the upgrade.
• The trinity of Dribbling attributes; 98 Agility, 95 Dribbling, and 91 Balance.
• 5-Star Skill Moves with 4-Star Weak Foot at this price range is a dream.
• A Deadeye boosts his Shooting to 90 and picks up his average Passing to 85.

10. Gerard Deulofeu (Inform)

One of those 'What could have been?' kind of players.

A personal favorite. Deulofeu has been a mercurial talent wherever he’s been. In FIFA, his Inform is as cheap as you’ll find for his stats.

Why Deulofeu Is Amazing:

• Less than 25k for a player with good links to Spain and EPL hybrids.
• A Sniper brings his Agility to 99 and Finishing to 93. Deadeye is still the one for roundedness if you have any left at this point.
• High/Low Work Rates are well-suited to his LW spot.
• His price and Agility make him a brilliant option for something different in the endgame.

9. Paul Pogba (FUT Birthday)

The world at his feet - the World Cup in his hands - but what (or where) is next?

Ah, Paul Pogba. The World Cup winner that turns up once or twice a season for Manchester United. I cannot be the only MUFC fan who’s been driven insane by his antics.

Why Pogba Is Amazing:

• You can play him in any position down the middle; with a Shadow for CM/CDM/CB or Engine/Deadeye for CAM/CF/ST.
• He’s been boosted to 5-Star/5-Star and at 6’3” will boss any midfield.
• Pair 93 Strength with 97 Ball Control and 94 Dribbling and you ain’t losing that ball.
• 91 Passing (including 93 Vision, 91 Short Passing and 95 Long Passing). Midfield General right here.

8. Douglas Costa (FUT Birthday) 

The damage that this card can do affects your opponents' mind, body, and controller.

Another brand-new Birthday card, but Douglas Costa is already the right side of a million coins. I’d pick him up now before word gets out how good he is...

Why Costa Is Amazing:

• His Dribbling is so good you can leave it alone and use (you guessed it) a Deadeye to increase his Shooting to 94 and Passing to 92.
• Extraordinary Balance (95) and Agility (97) for such a cheap card with 97 Pace.
• Another to benefit from the Birthday boost with 5-Star/5-Star. That’s a +2 on his WF!
• If you want to go full overkill: with a Sniper he gets SEVEN 99 rated attributes, including 4/6 in Dribbling.

7. Jesus Corona (Inform)

The perfect partner for 5-Star skills Nick Pope!

This is a fun one. While his regular and SBC cards are both RM Jesus Corona actually has an Inform RB card. The position change makes for some amazing gameplay.

Why Corona (the footballer) Is Amazing:

• You can have a right-back with 97 Dribbling if you want to be silly. A Guardian gives him 99 Agility, 97 Ball Control, and 98 Dribbling.
• He’s also 5-Star/5-Star. You won’t be able to help yourself in skilling out from the back with him.
• If you want to be less silly a Sentinel boosts his Defending and Physical decently. (Guardian boosts Defending too, just saying. Don’t bother with Physical, he’s a full-back!)
• Oh plus, he’s 25k. A bargain for the amount of fun you’ll get out of him.

6. Thiago (Inform)

A top central midfielder that won't break your bank.

Thiago is all about the dribble. It’s his standout attribute on FIFA 20 and boy can you utilize the Inform version in-game.

Why Thiago Is Amazing:

• A Sniper moves him to a God-tier 98 Dribbling with decent Shooting and Passing to move him up the field.
• Amazingly well-rounded card behind his Dribbling so you can boost whatever you need in his position.
• We have another 5-Star skiller! Works extra well on Thiago as it makes up for his lack of pace in the middle.
• A good price and desirable Spanish/Bundesliga links.

5. Bernardo Silva (TOTY Nominee)

Brought in as a squad player, so the rest of us thought...

Silva has been a revelation in Manchester City’s team since he joined. His TOTY Nominee card is definitely worth the extra 10-15k if you weren’t able to grab his insane 91 Moments.

Why Silva Is Amazing:

• 95 Agility is his best attribute - perfect for a dribbler.
• 94 Stamina and High/High Work Rates are very good for RW or RM.
• With extreme Dribbling and decent Passing, you should give him a Hunter for 92 Pace and some good Shooting attributes.
• A beast of a player in a good league for under 50k coins. All these things are amazing!

4. Paqueta (FUT Birthday)

An unknown for now, but part of an exciting Milan rebuild.

EA has really picked out some gems in the recent Birthday squads. Lucas Tolentino Coelho de Lima, better known as Paqueta, was an objectives challenge from the first wave. I very much hope you snapped him up.

Why Paqueta Is Amazing:

• Well, he was free for anyone who completed his (fairly easy) objectives!
• A big jump to a 5-Star Weak Foot goes nicely with his 4-Star skills and 90 overall Dribbling stat.
• Spread the wealth with an Engine (recommended to increase his Balance) or give him some huge Shooting increases with a Deadeye.
• A top Serie A CAM for just completing four objectives!

3. Paulo Dybala

They might not be licensed but Juve... Piemonte Calcio are one of the best team in the game.

The Argentine wizard of, ahem... ‘Piemonte Calcio’ is always one of the first names on the teamsheet for FUT players. In FIFA 20 he has come to play once again with stellar cards all year.

Why Dybala Is Amazing:

• He has an upgrade at ST, CAM, and LW that each offer something different. Talk about versatile.
• I would have a Deadeye for his LW and a Hunter for a CAM/ST card to get the most out of him.
• Agility, Ball Control, and Dribbling are all in the 90s.
• He’s a great little player to use and feels lighter and quicker than higher-rated (more expensive) cards.

2. Jadon Sancho

Another guy who is getting into every other list I do!

The wonder-kid lighting up the Bundesliga before it was cool. Take that Haland. Just kidding, they’re both younger than me and outrageously more talented.

Why Sancho Is Amazing:

• Pick a version of him to suit any budget. There's enough going around and his upgrades cover the entire forward line. 
• Even his 87 CAM SIF is under 70k right now as the market takes a dive while being flooded with special cards.
• His Agility, Balance, and Dribbling are 90+ just from his base card. 
• So light on the ball with 5-Star skills and a lean build.

1. Lautaro Martinez (Future Stars) 

There's quite a rivalry bubbling back up in Milan.

Like Sancho you can pick up a regular Gold Martinez for a couple of thousand coins. However, it's really worth the 1 million+ to get his Future Stars card. It's ludicrous. 

Why Martinez Is Amazing:

• This guy is seriously better than a lot of Prime Icons. 
• His Physicals are ridiculous. 99 Jumping, 95 Strength, and 95 Aggression. Oh, 99 Heading Accuracy too. 
• An Engine puts him up to 98 Dribbling and 97 Pace. Do you need any more reasons? 
• Fine. 94 Shot Power and 97 Finishing. He's the complete package.
