If you just want to focus on Hanabi’s attacking skills, you may use this equipment build. Basically, these items heavily enhance the attack speed and damage of Hanabi only. This can work if you have a good team composition and support. However, other players do not always rely on this build since it fails to consider the squishiness of Hanabi in the early game. This build also has not that much input for her lifesteal abilities.

Use This Build If…

  • You have a good tank in the team since you can always rely on the tank for defense.
  • If you can easily farm, especially if the enemy does not have assassins, since you can freely roam around the area with less threat.
  • You are against an enemy team with no tank since they are most likely to roam around the map in groups. With this build, your area of effect damage will be intensified so you can easily attack them.

Items:

1. Demon Hunter Sword (2180): This item will ultimately grant Hanabi the physical attack and attack speed she needs. By acquiring this, she will also grant another 3% for her physical lifesteal ability.

2. Swift Boots (gold cost): Boots are a must for a marksman. Without the needed boots, Hanabi will become too slow compared to other heroes, which can be a disadvantage to her.

3. Golden Staff (2000): Other than the benefits she will reap with the Demon Hunter Sword item, the Golden Staff will grant Hanabi another attack speed gain of up to 15%. She will also gain an extra critical chance that can be converted into an extra 1% attack speed.

4. Corrosion Scythe (2050): This item is for improving the basic attack of Hanabi. This will also enhance her ultimate skill. Basically, the Corrosion Scythe will level up all the slowing components of her skills. More than that, Hanabi will also gain another increase in her physical damage, movement, and attack speed.

5. Blade of Despair (3010): This is the best equipment for marksman heroes, especially in the late game when all your enemies have already reached their full-built states. With Blade of Despair, Hanabi will achieve an extra 25% of her physical attack damage if she hits an enemy with below 50% HP.

6. Immortality: This will serve as the main protector of Hanabi, given that she is most likely the target of the opposing team. Buying Immortality will help you have the confidence to join clashes, knowing that you have extra added protection on Hanabi.

 

2. Attacking and Defending Build


Always keep your defenses up.

This build is best used if you are against squishy enemies like Layla, Miya, and Gord. By focusing on items that enhance your attacking skills, you will definitely become stronger in the latter part of the game. Thus, you should not be too aggressive and secure first your gold advantage.

Use This Build If…

  • The enemy team does not have a strong assassin or mage hero since this build will not work against them.
  • You are against bulky tanks or fighters since this build will instantly melt them down, especially if you have already bought them all.
  • The play turns into a late-game battle because the attack and defense component of this build will surely help you in the long run.

Items:

1. Windtalker (1820): If you want to be able to join in team fights in the early game, you might as well prioritize this. Since Hanabi has a killer basic attack, buying Windtalker will grant her the needed attack speed to increase her power.

2. Swift Boots (710): This is helpful to give Hanabi a speed boost since she can be slow. Enemies easily target her, so it is a must to equip her with the boots.

3. Berserker’s Fury (2250): This item is probably present in all marksman heroes. Well, that is because Berserke’s Fury is the holy grail of physical attack damage boost. Buying this will give Hanabi a boost in her damage output. Since you have already bought the Windtalker beforehand, Hanabi will now have a fast attack speed with a basic attack that increases in damage.

4. Blade of Despair (3010): Hanabi cannot leave without the BOD item. Basically, this will serve as her final touch in order to gain the needed damage that can disrupt the whole enemy team. If she gains BOD, Hanabi will be able to attack faster and deadlier.

5. Haas’s Claws (1810): Haas’s Claws will improve the lifesteal level of Hanabi. It is given that Hanabi can increase her HP in the late game, but with Haas’s Claws, she will be able to maximize her lifesteal at the midgame.

6. Immortality (2250): Hanabi is prey to other fighters and core heroes. Because of that, she needs to be at the backline at all times. Immortality will help Hanabi gain extra protection since this will resurrect her if she ever dies.

 

1. Sustained damage per second Build


This will last throughout the game.

From the build name itself, using this will help you enhance the continuous attacks and damage per second of the hero. This kind of build is only applicable to heroes who can rely on their basic attacks alone. Since Hanabi can already deal a great amount of damage just by her basic attacks, then using a sustained DPS build will definitely increase her power.

  • You are against strong assassins and fighters since sustained damage can help you equal their power.
  • You are the core hero because it will allow you to gain enough power to join team fights in the early game.
  • You are against another powerful marksman. The sustained DPS build will give you the needed fast attack speed with deadly damage in every hit to kill the enemy core hero.

1. Windtalker (1820): Buying this will allow Hanabi to gain additional attack speed and critical chance damage. Since she is also slower compared to other marksman heroes, Windtalker will grant her another movement speed.

2. Swift Boots (710): This will grant Hanabi the movement that she needs to keep up with other heroes. Although other items can also grant her mobility, it is still important to buy an item that focuses solely on her movement.

3. Berserker’s Fury (2250): After buying this, you will notice the increased damage output of Hanabi. Her physical attack will go up to 65% increase, helping her eliminate enemies in a team fight.

4. Scarlet Phantom (2020): Hanabi relies on attack speed and critical chance. Because of that, Scarlet Phantom is a good item to pair Hanabi with. Keep in mind that this is less effective if purchased first. So it is a must that you buy Berserker’s Fury before Scarlet Phantom.

5. Blade of Despair (3010): This is the most expensive attack item and the most deadly one. If you have already acquired this for Hanabi, she would be at her ultimate and maximum potential. But since this is expensive, it may take a lot of time before you can buy this.

6. Rose Gold Meteor (2120): This item will give Hanabi another shield when she starts to have low HP. The damage and shield granted by this item will allow melee heroes to survive longer on the battlefield.

 

Skills:

  • Passive: Equinox

This skill grants Hanabi the additional shield. If this is active, she gains another increase in movement, attack speed, and immunity. In addition, up to 20% of the damage she deals will be added to the shield if skill 1 is activated. The additional shield will not exceed 50% of her HP.

  • Skill 1: Petal Barrage

The passive ability of her first skill is that she permanently gains 8% physical lifesteal. When this is active, every basic attack of Hanabi will generate a petal-like blade that bounces from one enemy to another, bouncing up to 4 nearby enemies. The first hit will deal 40% of physical damage, while subsequent bounces will be 85% of the previous.

  • Skill 2: Soul Scroll

When you cast this upon an enemy, they will slow down. Other than the slow-mo effect, it will also deal 450-600 physical damage to the target. 

  • Skill 3: Higanbana

This is the ultimate skill of Hanabi, which is the most favorite thing about her. When she throws Higanbana, all enemies in the affected area will be stunned and immobilized for a period of time. Even if she will just cast to one enemy, heroes near the target will be immobilized too.
