[Top 3] Genshin Impact Best Xiao Builds That Wreck Hard!

Xiao is an Adeptus, whose original name is Alatus, and the only known remaining member of the five Yakshas dispatched by Morax (or Zhongli). He resides in Wangshu Inn and loves food.

He’s an Anemo Polearm character and his role is DPS. Xiao is also one of the best Genshin Impact’s DPS, alongside Hu Tao, Ayaka, or Ganyu.

Xiao has three optimum builds and we’re going to talk about them and choose which one is the best for him. Let’s start!

3. Gladiator’s Finale

Gladiator’s Finale is an Artifact Set available at 4-star and 5-star rarities which can be obtained from Bosses at World Level 2 and above.

The 4-Piece Bonus of this set increases normal attack DMG by 35% if the character uses a Sword, Claymore, or Polearm. “If it just applies to normal attacks, why is it good for Xiao?”. Hold on, Paimon, let me explain to you.

  • Even if Xiao deals a lot of DMG with his Elemental Skill and Burst, the most important things about him are his normal attacks since he’s a DPS.
  • You can get Anemo DMG from the Goblet and EM as a sub-stat, so Xiao will still deal DMG with his skills.
  • The best weapon if you use this set is the Blackcliff Pole, a 4-star polearm that can be bought at the Paimon’s Bargains. It increases the character’s attack by 12% and its 2nd stat is Crit DMG.

2. Gladiator’s Finale and Shimenawa’s Reminiscence

Shimenawa’s Reminiscence is an Artifact Set available at 4-star and 5-star rarities which can be obtained from Momiji-Dyed Court in Inazuma.

The 2-Piece Bonus of Shimenawa’s Reminiscence and Gladiator’s Finale increase your attack by 18%, both of them. So, it means your attack will be increased by 36%.

  • You can get the Anemo DMG from the goblet or EM as a sub-stat, but the most important thing is Xiao’s normal attack DMG.
  • If you choose this composition it’s because you want him to deal more DMG through his basic attacks instead of his skills.
  • The perfect weapon for this build is the Deathmatch, a 4-star polearm that can be obtained with the Battle Pass (Gnostic Hymn). This weapon increased his ATK by 16% and his DEF if there are 2 enemies nearby. If there are more, it’ll increase by 24%.

1. Shimenawa’s Reminiscence and Viridescent Venerer

Viridescent Venerer is an Artifact Set available at 4-star and 5-star rarities which can be obtained from Valley of Remembrance, a domain in Mondstat.

The 2-Piece Bonus of this set gives Anemo DMG Bonus by 15%. “But, why don’t we use 4 pieces of this set?”. Because the 4-Piece Bonus of this set works perfectly with Anemo Supports that deal Swirl and decrease enemies’ RES to elements. And yes, Xiao can’t do it.

  • Xiao’s Elemental Skill deals Anemo DMG whenever he slides into an opponent.
  • Even if his Elemental Burst deals Swirl, other elements than Anemo can’t be dealt because you can’t interrupt his Elemental Burst. So, the 2-Piece Bonus is perfect because he just deals Anemo DMG with the Swirl.
  • As we said before, Xiao’s basic attacks are a crucial part of the character. With the 2-Piece Bonus of Gladiator’s Finale you can get a bonus of DMG.
  • The perfect weapon for this build is the Primordial Jade Winged-Spear, a 5-star weapon that can be obtained with wishes. It increases Xiao’s attack by 3.2% with a of max 7 stacks and, when you have the max stacks, DMG dealt is increased by 12%.

The fun part of Genshin Impact and its characters it’s that you can do whatever you want with them.

If none of these builds has convinced you, you can choose other options like 4-Piece Shimenawa’s Reminiscence or 2-Piece Wanderer’s Troupe and 2-Piece Viridescent Venerer. You can do whatever you want!
