[Top 10] Genshin Impact Best 3 Star Weapons That Are Excellent

Bad luck or good luck?

Most of the pulls you’ll do on Genshin Impact’s banners will get you weapons. Moreover, most of those will be rated as 3-stars. That’s the lowest rate, so you may think they are worth nothing. Well, you are wrong.

Even if the base ATK these max levelled weapons can get up to is lower than the ones with higher rating, both their substat and passive ability make some of them great for your team. In this guide, we’ll show you the best 10.

10. Bloodstained Greatsword

The first weapon is the claymore called Bloodstained Greatsword. You can already tell by its passive ability that it’s great for some Pyro or Electro enablers that need Elemental Mastery, like Xinyan or Beidou. There’s also a polearm version, for supports like Xiangling that look for elemental reactions.

What Makes This Weapon Great:

  • Increases DMG against opponents affected by Pyro or Electro by 12%.

9. Cool Steel

The Cool Steel sword is similar but different to the Bloodstained Greatsword. Instead of Elemental Mastery, we get ATK, so it’s preferable to give it to some DPS or Sub-DPS. They also have to be able to affect enemies with the Hydro or Cryo element. A good example of this is Kaeya, who can constantly inflict Physical Damage and Cryo Damage at the same time.

What Makes This Weapon Great:

  • Increases DMG against opponents affected by Hydro or Cryo by 12%.

8. Fillet Blade

The next sword also gives ATK% as a substat, so it’s a weapon you can give to your DPS characters. This weapon is also suited for boss battles. Why? Because of its passive. Normal battles are usually quick, and enemies die easily. However, when battling bosses, a 240% ATK DMG can really turn the tide of the battle.

What Makes This Weapon Great:

  • On hit, has 50% chance to deal 240% ATK DMG to a single enemy. Can only occur once every 15s.

7. Sharpshooter’s Oath

After two swords come two bows. The first one is called the Sharpshooter’s Oath, and it’s a great weapon for those DPS or Sub-DPS who base their damage on Charged Attacks, like Ganyu. You also must have good marksmanship because you need to always hit enemies’ weak spots. This bow also gives an increase in CRIT DMG!

What Makes This Weapon Great:

  • Increases DMG against weak spots by 24%.

6. Slingshot

Instead of CRIT DMG, we get CRIT Rate with this bow, which is also a fantastic stat for DPS ranged characters. Well, not really ranged characters, because to activate its passive you need to hit enemies before less than 0.3 s have passed since you shot the arrow. That’s one you may need to be really near the enemies.

What Makes This Weapon Great:

  • If a Normal or Charged Attack hits a target within 0.3s of being fired, increases DMG by 36%. Otherwise, decreases DMG by 10%.

5. Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers

Barbara seems happy with this catalyst, and there’s a reason why. This catalyst is fantastic for her. It doesn’t only increase her HP (on which she bases her healing), but it also increases the ATK of the companion she switches to. Every healer and enabler is constantly switching, so this is a good effect for catalysts like Sucrose or Yae.

What Makes This Weapon Great:

  • When switching characters, the new character taking the field has their ATK increased by 24% for 10s. This effect can only occur once every 20s.

4. Skyrider Sword

The Skyride-type weapons come next. First is the sword, amazing for burst-based characters, like Xingqiu or Bennet. It increases Energy recharge%, so they get to activate that burst quickly. After that, they also receive an ATK and Movement SPD buff. It even affects their off-field abilities, so it can be used for enablers as well.

What Makes This Weapon Great:

  • Using an Elemental Burst grants a 12% increase in ATK and Movement SPD for 15s.

3. Skyrider Greatsword

The other weapon from the Skyrider set in this top is the Skyrider Greatsword. Eula, Razor, Diluc… There’re lots of characters that can increase their DMG output after equipping this weapon. They base their DPS on their Normal and Charged Attacks, both Physical and Elemental, so an increase of up to 40% of their DMG can be game-changing.

What Makes This Weapon Great:

  • On hit, Normal or Charged Attacks increase ATK by 6% for 6s. Max 4 stacks. Can only occur once every 0.5s.

2. White Tassel

Even if there’s only one polearm shown in this guide, that doesn’t make the White Tassel any worse. Zhongli or Xiao are polearm characters whose Normal Attacks deal lots of damage. Well, with this polearm they can be increased up to 48% damage, while also increasing their CRIT Rate. Isn’t that amazing?

What Makes This Weapon Great:

  • Increases Normal Attack DMG by 24%.

1. Harbinger of Dawn

A fantastic weapon and my favourite 3-star as well. I love Albedo and this is a weapon I’ve equipped him with for a long time. It increases CRIT DMG and CRIT Rate, the two rarest and most needed stats. To activate the passive, however, your HP has to be really high. That can be solved with a shield, like Zhongli’s, or just having the character switch out without taking damage.

What Makes This Weapon Great:

  • When HP is above 90%, increases CRIT Rate by 14%.

You have to agree with me in that it’s surprising just how high you can increase your weapon’s passive percentages when you refine them 5 times. The good thing about 3-star weapons is that you’ll have copies of them to spare. If they seem amazing now, imagine when instead of a 14% CRIT Rate you get 28%!
