Best General Items Against Clinkz

Morphling is an essential carry hero that every carry player needs to have in his pool. As boring or complex as this hero may appear, he is quite phenomenal in teamfights. His abilities ensure he can melt down Clinkz in no time with his famed Shotgun combo. Lion can disable Clinkz with his lethal toolkit. 7. Treant Protector

By far one of the most underrated heroes in the game has to be Treant Protector. He has all you need for lane support such as heals, disable, crowd control, and even free pathing. His high damage from level can be used to force Clinkz out of the lane, disrupting his farm and XP. Treant can also scout Clinkz as the former can turn invisible around trees, allowing him to call shots and have his allies rotate to gank the bone fletcher.

Treant is also excellent for pushing in the late game as he can just sit in the trees and spam Nature’s Grasp and use Meteor Hammer on enemy towers. He can also safeguard his towers with his heal, making Clinkz fall back and wait for the next wave, only to be disappointed by the tower heal again. The root from Overgrowth pierces Black King Bar, and stops Clinkz right in his tracks, even disarming him for a long duration. • Clinkz will often roam the map alone, and Treant Protector's Nature's Guise allows him to set up kills with his allies on Clinkz from invisibility.
• Living Armor protects any of Treant's allies ganked by Clinkz.

6. Bloodseeker

Bloodseeker, the cold-blooded hunter is a mighty force against numerous heroes regardless of their attack range. Clinkz, in theory, should perform better than Bloodseeker due to his range advantage but is a squishy hero so he finds it extremely hard to withstand composite damage of the vicious vampire. Bloodseeker can withstand the heavy beatings of Clinkz with the help of his lifesteal as well as his Q which sustains him in the laning phase as well as in the teamfights. Although Clinkz has the range advantage, Bloodseeker has more potential as a carry in the later stages of the game. 

Blood Rite is extremely useful to lock Clinkz down and silence him, which allows him to kill him in skirmishes. Clinkz can also fall victim to Rupture which can pierce Black King Bar making him take immense amounts of damage if he moves. as he moves due to his high movement speed. It may result in his instant death or make him low enough for Bloodseeker to hunt him and further neutralize him. Thirst is extremely powerful against Clinkz as it reveals Clinkz’s location if he falls low enough to reach the threshold.

Why is Bloodseeker a great counter to Clinkz?

• Rupture negates the mobility provided by Skeleton Walk in any attempt to escape or reposition in fights.
• Bloodseeker can easily build items to counter Clinkz, including Talisman of Evasion upgrades, Blade Mail, and armor items.
• Thirst reveals Clinkz if he tries to escape with Skeleton Walk with low health. It also allows Bloodseeker to match or exceed Clinkz's speed.

5. Spirit Breaker

Getting hit by a Spirit Breaker is quite the equivalent of getting hit by a truck. Clinkz is quite a squishy hero against the likes of the Spirit Breaker as he lacks the armor to withstand his damage. More than the damage, it is the global potential of SB’s Charge which makes him stay alert at all times, farming only in secure locations and never showing himself too far out on the map. 

Clinkz often opts for Black King Bar, but it is seen as a useless item against the likes of Spirit Breaker due to his bashes and ultimate Nether Strike which pierce his spell immunity. Though the late game can be a little difficult for Spirit Breaker as Clinkz eventually catches up with farm, the former does not rely on items and his job is only to gank the bone fletcher or provide vision for his allies to gank him. Clinkz is deeply annoyed by such interruption and thus can’t optimally play his game.

Why is Spirit Breaker a great counter to Clinkz?

• Possibly Clinkz's worst enemy. He has many tools to utterly destroy Clinkz, let it be the Bash, Charge, or even Nether Strike.
• When Spirit Breaker charges onto Clinkz, he can easily use Dust of Appearance to guarantee a reveal on him while stunned.
• All three of Spirit Breaker's spells help him and his team quickly close the gap to Clinkz even at the edge of his attack range or when running away with Skeleton Walk.

• Echo Sabre - Provides immense stat gain along with increased physical damage and attack speed

4. Bounty Hunter

Gondar, the Bounty Hunter is a pesky hero who is often picked against squishy or invisible heroes. Clinkz fits the bill of being both squishy and is also an invisibility hero. 3. Zeus

The allfather Zeus proves to be one of the best counters to Clinkz right from the early game. Clinkz lacks magic resistance, which makes him an easy target for the supreme god’s wrath. With Lighting Bolt, Zeus can reveal Clinkz even if he is invisible. All this magic damage is hard to negate for Clinkz so early in the game. There is practically no way he can stop all this damage unless he gets an early Black King Bar.

Clinkz crumbles easily if he is unable to find any farm, while Zeus can easily farm away and smite low HP heroes with his global ultimate. His extreme DPS spells and wave clearance abilities like Chain Lighting and Thundergod’s Wrath prove to be exceptional against the bone fletcher. A well-timed Aghanim’s Nimbus into the ultimate can lead to a swift assassination of Clinkz.

• Arc Lightning and Lightning Bolt can easily burst Clinkz.
