[Top 10] Genshin Impact Best Free Weapons

Genshin Impact Best Free Weapons
so many weapons, only 10 make the list

Genshin Impact tends to release a couple of new weapons along with the Limited Time Banner Wish. As of ver. 1.5., the game has more than 60 weapons that you can equip to your characters accordingly.

Ranging from 1 Star to 5 Star, there are a few ways to get weapons in Genshin Impact: you can either forge them through the Blacksmith, buy Battle Pass, exchange Stardusts through Paimon’s Bargain, or you use your wish on the banners.

Well, some weapons you’re also able to get from finishing certain quests and even as drops (once your AR is high enough).

This list is going to consist of weapons from the banners only; which means weapons from Battle Pass or forged ones wouldn’t be included.

Here are the best 10 weapons from the banner!

10. Lost Prayer to Sacred Wind

With only 3 Five Starred Catalysts in the game, the list starts off with one of them: Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds.

To begin, the Catalyst has a 46 Base ATK on level 1, which goes up to 608 once maxed out. Its Secondary Stat is CRIT Rate, starting with 7.2% and ending at 33.1% on its 90th Level. Amazing, right?

Through its Refinement, Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds also increases Movement SPD by 10%. During battle, it gives an 8~16% Elemental DMG Bonus every 4 seconds, which can be stacked up to 4 times. This will last until the character falls or leaves the field.

Why Lost Prayer to Sacred Wind Is Great:

  • Boosts CRIT Rate up to 33.1%
  • Refinement increases Movement SPD
  • Refinement fives Elemental DMG Bonus

9. Skyward Spine

Skyward Spine is next on the list.

This Polearm starts with 48 Base ATK, which goes up to 674 on Level 90. Together with this is Energy Recharge, starting at 8% and ending at 36.8% at maximum.

The Refinement increases CRIT Rate by 8% and Normal ATK SPD by 12%. When Normal and Charged ATK hits the opponents, there’s a 50% chance to trigger a vacuum blade that deals 40% of ATK as DMG in a small AoE. This can only occur once every 2 seconds.

Why Skyward Spine Is Great:

  • Increase on Normal ATK SPD is a unique boost
  • Energy Recharge goes up to 36.8%
  • Refinement increases CRIT Rate
  • 50% chance of automatic ATK on a small AoE

8. Wolf’s Gravestone

Finally stepping down from its throne is Wolf’s Gravestone, the Claymore most fitting for your main DPS.

This weapon has a 46 Base ATK and 10.8% ATK on its first level. Maxing up this Claymore will give you a 608 Base ATK and 49.6% ATK. Isn’t it pretty self-explanatory why it’s great?

For its Refinement, Wolf’s Gravestone furthermore increases ATK by 20~40%. On hit, attacks against opponents with less than 30% HP increase all party members’ ATK by 40~80% for 12 seconds. This can only occur once every 30 seconds, but I think it’s a pretty big number even if the CD is a bit too long.

Why Wolf’s Gravestone Is Great:

  • Even though it fits main DPS the best, it’s also suitable for any Claymore users
  • Double ATK boost through Secondary Stat and Refinement
  • Also able to increase party members’ ATK

7. Aquila Favonia

On number 7 is Aquila Favonia, a Sword that I just got a few days ago by luck through the Standard Banner (and it’s still really great even though I was hoping for a character).

On Level 1, the Base ATK is 48, which goes to as much as 674 on its max. level. With it is Physical DMG Bonus, starting at 9% and ending at 41.3%. Big numbers, aren’t they?

On top of all these, its Refinement increases ATK by 20~40%. When taking DMG, the soul of the Falcon of the West awakens, regenerating HP for as much as 100~160% of ATK and dealing 200~320% ATK as DMG to surrounding opponents. This can only happen once every 15 seconds.

Why Aquila Favonia Is Great:

  • Physical DMG Bonus is as much as 41.3% at max
  • Refinement increases ATK
  • Taking DMG will trigger HP Regeneration along with DMG from the soul of the Falcon of the West

6. Elegy for the End

Coming next is Elegy for the End from the Millennial Movement Series.

This Bow starts with a 46 Base ATK and 12% Energy Recharge as its Secondary Stat. On Level 90, the Base ATK rises to 608 with 55.1% Energy Recharge. Isn’t it great if you wish to spam Elemental Burst?

Moving on, its Refinement increases Elemental Mastery by 60~120. In the case that the character with this Bow hits opponents with Elemental Skills or Bursts, the character will gain a Sigil of Remembrance, which can only be triggered once every 0.2 second, and can be triggered even when the character isn’t on field.

Once you’ve accumulated 4 Sigils of Remembrance, they will be consumed and all nearby party members will have their Elemental Mastery increased by 100~200 and ATK by 20~40% for 12 seconds. After this takes effect, you can’t gain Sigil of Remembrance for 20 seconds. Buffs of the same type (Millennial Movement) from weapons of the same series won’t stack.

Why Elegy for the End Is Great:

  • Energy Recharge boost is up to 55.1%
  • Refinement increases Elemental Mastery
  • Supports Elemental Burst spam and Elemental Reaction
  • Refinement increases party members’ Elemental Mastery and ATK under certain conditions

5. Song of Broken Pines

The newest Claymore of Genshin Impact debuts at number 5. Song of Broken Pines is also from the Millennial Movement series, like the Bow above.

A Claymore very fitting for main DPS, its Base ATK starts at 49 and goes up to 741 at level 90. Its Secondary Stat is Physical DMG Bonus, 4.5% at level 1 and 20.7% at its max. level.

The additional effect from its Refinement is to get an additional 16~32% of ATK. Hitting opponents with Normal or Charged Attacks will gain the character a Sigil of Whispers, which can be triggered once every 0.3 second.

Possessing four Sigils of Whispers will increase party members’ Normal ATK SPD by 12~24% and ATK by 20~40% at the cost of the sigils. Once this effect is active, you won’t gain Sigil of Whispers for 20 seconds. Buffs from the other Millennia Movement weapons will not stack.

Why Song of Broken Pines Is Great:

  • Physical DMG Bonus is up to 20.7%
  • Refinement raises ATK
  • Refinement also increase party members’ Normal ATK SPD and ATK under conditions

4. Skyward Atlas

The top Catalyst of Genshin Impact goes to Skyward Atlas, which isn’t all that surprising.

This Catalyst starts off with a 48 Base ATK with a 7.2% ATK as its Secondary Stat. On its maximum level, the Base ATK is as much as 674 whilst ATK boost goes up to 33.1%. I think it’s safe to say this is great for your Catalyst main DPS in particular.

Skyward Atlas also increases Elemental DMG Bonus by 12~24% through its Refinement. Normal Attack hits have a 50% chance to summon clouds, in which they will seek out nearby opponents and attack them for 15 seconds. These clouds would deal 160~320% ATK DMG, and can only occur once every 30 seconds.

Why Skyward Atlas Is Great:

  • Raises ATK to 33.1%
  • Refinement boosts Elemental DMG
  • ATK and Elemental DMG boost = insane DMG from Catalyst
  • When the clouds are summoned, you get automatic DMG from the clouds.

3. Skyward Harp

Quite expectedly, Skyward Harp stays on top of this list because it is just that good.

With CRIT Rate as its Secondary Stat, Skyward Harp starts off at 4.8% CRIT Rate on Lv. 1 and Base ATK of 48. We all know how scarce is CRIT Rate and DMG stat. On its highest level, the Base ATK goes up to 674 while the maximum of CRIT Rate is 22.1%.

That isn’t all, the effect from its Refinement is to increase CRIT DMG by 20~40% while Hits have a 60~100% chance to inflict a small AoE attack that deals 125% Physical DMG. This can only occur once every 4~2 seconds, but that’s a pretty small cost, isn’t it?

CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG on 1 weapon? How could it not be on this list, really.

Why Skyward Harp Is Great:

  • It raises both of your CRIT Rate and DMG. I feel like I don’t really have to explain anything.
  • A 60% chance of an AoE ATK is already bigger than the usual 50% chance.
  • You can use this on any archer without thinking much about their roles in your party.

2. Primordial Jade Cutter

The highest ranked Sword in the game goes to Primordial Jade Cutter.

With a Base ATK of 44 that goes up to 542 on its max. level, the Secondary Stat that goes with it is CRIT Rate. The CRIT Rate starts off at 9.6% on Lv. 1 and ends at 44.1% on Lv. 90. I feel like that’s enough reason why it’s here.

On another note, its Refinement also increases HP by 20~40% and another ATK Bonus based on 1.2~2.4% of the character’s Max HP.

There really isn’t much to say about this particular sword because it raises your HP, ATK, and CRIT Rate. That’s good enough reason, if I might say so myself.

Why Primordial Jade Cutter Is Great:

  • It raises CRIT Rate up to 44.1%
  • Refinement adds HP
  • Refinement adds ATK Bonus
  • Suitable for any Sword wielders, but more so your main DPS

  1. Staff of Homa

The Staff of Homa currently takes the throne as the best weapon in Genshin Impact. It hasn’t been that long since this Polearm is officially released, but it’s not surprising that it’s here.

To start off, the Staff of Homa starts with a 46 Base ATK on Lv. 1, and 14.4% of CRIT DMG. I honestly don’t know what else to say. On its maximum level, the Base ATK rises to 608 whilst CRIT DMG is up to 66.2%. The number is simply insane.

Its Weapon Refinement increases HP by 20~40%. Even more, it gives ATK Bonus based on 0.8~1.6% of the wielder’s Max HP. When the character’s HP is less than 50%, the ATK Bonus is increased by another 1~1.8% of Max HP.

If you’ve got this spear, it really doesn’t matter who is going to wield it.

Why Staff of Homa Is Great:

  • The start of the CRIT DMG is 14.4%, which goes up to 66.2% on max
  • Refinement gives HP Bonus
  • Refinement gives ATK Bonus
  • Suitable for any Polearm-wielding characters
