Like many Call of Duty’s in the past, Modern Warfare has two separate classes of sniper rifles, which include sniper and marksman rifles. The marksman rifles are often the quicker option of the two, but they sacrifice the lethality of normal sniper rifles to obtain that mobility. With all of these weapons to choose from, it can be hard to distinguish the elite level snipers from the lower tier snipers, so we have compiled a list of the top five sniper rifles and the best loadout to use them with.

5. Dragunov

The number five sniper rifle in Modern Warfare, the Dragunov

Coming in as the number five sniper rifle to use in Modern Warfare is the Dragunov. With the best fire rate that a sniper can have, this semi-automatic weapon is still a one shot headshot, but the recoil that comes with firing away shots makes it difficult to use in some situations. With the right attachments however, the recoil can be controlled enough to where this gun is a viable weapon to use.

Reasonable mobility combined with decent range makes this a very usable weapon and perfect for game modes like ground war or Warzone.

However, in most massive maps and in game modes such as ground war or Warzone, this gun can shine.
