We all imagine what it would be like to be in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. No? Just me? Well that’s the beauty of video games, it lets the player imagine themselves in the most bizarre and crazy situations possible. With the never ending hunger for those crazy scenarios, here is a list of the Top 10 Best Zombie Survival Games you can pick up today.

10. Miscreated

Miscreated is a multiplayer “hardcore” survival game set in a post-apocalyptic future. Survive against the many shapes and sizes of zombies possibly created and even mother nature herself! The game throws you in the woodsy backyard of what looks to be North America (?) with the goal of, you guessed it! Survival. Adventure the land for new weapons and material to build your base to fend off the zombies in Miscreated.

It’s All About What's On The Inside. Except when the inside is all full of rotting flesh and a hunger for you.

Don’t Go In Alone!  Take a buddy with you or your trusty gun to protect yourself from god only knows what!

Rendered smoothly with amazing rain effect and that horror gritty feel to it, the games beckons you to keep playing and surviving. Fight along side your friends, gather what survival gear you need and share a few jump scares while bashing in some zombie heads.

Dying Light is a zombie survivalist wet dream. There’s no shortage of adventure in this city infested with the undead. You can explore every inch of the city by climbing on buildings and exploring the outskirts in cars. The diverse amount of zombies never ceases to amaze as well, for they pack a punch where you’ll find yourself running away more times than none. When the light dies (like the title suggests) you best be prepared to run or stand your ground. The side missions and story line will hold your interest but the zombies might have you rage quitting faster than you can kill them. But once you level up that skill set, you’ll be smashing zombie heads in more ways than one. Are you up for the task?

Run For Cover! Team up with your squad to defend against the undead...or others.

4. Project Zombiod

Build farms, craft weapons, fish and loot the various abandoned buildings to keep your player alive and healthy in this zombie apocalyptic world. However, one small step in the wrong direction and you can easily find your character becoming one of the undead.

3. 7 Days To Die

With unpredicted weather changes, this game will keep you on your toes to find new ways to protect yourself from this zombie apocalyptic world. Every seven days, like the title suggests, a horde of flesh hungry zombies spawn in a horde in order to take down your base and yourself with it. So scour the land for material and badass weapons, because after seven days, there’s no going back.

Watch Your Step! Every corner a new zombie could be lurking...so watch your step.

Don’t Skip Leg Day! Stand your ground or run for your life, but in the end there’s no running after the seventh day.

2. Left 4 Dead

Left 4 Dead is a co-op horror survival game with a touch of…. “Oh shit, where are we running to next”. You can play with up to four players, were you and your friends desperately run around for new weapons and gear to fight off the massive swarm of zombies coming your way. Left 4 Dead has no real narrative so the objective is to make your way to one extraction point while bashing in some zombie heads on the way. With different difficulty settings, you’ll find yourself testing your combate and strategies against the zombies hordes in more ways than one.

Minecraft...oh i'm sorry, I mean Unturned is one of the very few calming zombie survival games out there. In a minecraft style graphics, explore the vast open maps, gather materials and craft different weapons and tools to build fortresses. Play with friends while making new alliances to make your team and your chances of survival better. You’ll find yourself endlessly exploring the map for different regions and opportunities, but in the back of your head keep in mind...it’s still the zombie apocalypse.

Where To Go Next?  There’s never an end to adventure in Unturned.

Not Minecraft friendly. The only difference...blood and zombie guts.
