[Top 10] PUBG Best Miramar Drop Locations

Ever been to Mexico? If not, you might catch a glimpse of it in PUBGs bedrock: Miramar.

Introduction

Miramar was the second map of PUBG, which was released for PC in December 2017 and for consoles in May 2018. It is an 8x8 km map mainly featuring desert plains, huge rock formation and mountains, and some bigger cities.

Miramar is an integral part of the PUBG esports landscape, as well as in the ranked mode. The map also features unique vehicles that can only be found here: pick-up trucks, slow-moving vans, fast, noisy sports cars (Mirado), and the ‘terrain monster’ Quad. You will need vehicles, as the map is one of the largest in PUBG.

Drop Locations

On this map, you find red, orange, and blue circles. The red circles stand for a high probability to face other players, as they are famous locations, as well as hot drops. Orange circles are less likely to take you into an early battle. The blue circle is a special place, detailed in the honorable mentions section of this article.

Be aware that most of the orange circles are not suited for four-player squads, as there won’t be enough loot. As a solo player or in duos, these places are ideal.

10. Cluster of Buildings North

This drop location lies west of the Water Treatment facility in the central-northern area  of Miramar. There is a road connection, which leads up to the Oasis in the far north, whereas the southern direction leads to the center of the map.

Here, you’ll find several buildings, including a hangar, surrounded by hills. If you keep looting towards the west, you find more appropriate buildings to find more necessities.  Usually, this area is not very well known, enabling you to gather resources in peace, far off the beaten drops in distant locations.

What makes the Cluster of Buildings North great:

  • It’s off the beaten track, you are less likely to face other players here.
  • It’s still relatively close to the middle of the map, less distance required to travel once a new circle pops up.
  • Looting might take a little longer, but you will find everything you need to start the round well equipped.

9. Cluster of Buildings West

This particular cluster of buildings lies in the west of El Pozo, one of the major cities on Miramar. It is not in the center of El Pozo, but on the other side of the road leading straight north or south.

You will get a good view on El Pozo and their temporary inhabitants who come flying in with you. Here, you’ll find a cluster of buildings that can supply you with basic loot items to march into battle. Or maybe not. If you think the town is too crowded, you can take it from there. Alternatives to instant fighting.

What makes the Cluster of Buildings West great:

  • It’s proximity to El Pozo, as you can decide to engage in battle or not.
  • It provides you with sufficient gear to be ready for your next moves.

8. Cluster of Buildings Center

On large maps, it’s all about the center. From here, you can quickly reach any area designated by the circle, giving you the advantage of moving before others. If you don’t feel like fighting right away, you can land close to the Hacienda in a tiny cluster of buildings.

Here you will find your basic gear, as well as other teams, even though rarely on Xbox One, and mostly you find a car within a 300 meters radius. This location is ideal if you are trying to go for the early drop, which is one of the tactics featured in this article. Note, that on Miramar you will need a quad or a motorcycle to be very effective at hunting air drops. The distances and terrain are a challenge to cross quickly and smoothly.

What makes the Cluster of Buildings Center great:

  • It’s the center of the map, it’s great to start your endeavor from here.
  • From here you have many options, including staying in the area, as many players cross through here.
  • You also can chase the drop from here.

7. Cluster of Buildings South

Los Leones is the biggest city on Miramar. If you want to land in a position with a great overview , you can land along the western industrial strip of Los Leones.

Here you find many warehouses and other proper spots to fill up your stash. It is not as crowded as in the city center, with having the option to embark on a mission to clear the city or to distance yourself from the trouble.

What makes the Cluster of Buildings South great:

  • Overseeable area in case you have squads landing nearby.
  • Many warehouses to enable a smooth loot run.

6. Graveyard

Ironically, the graveyard is another great spot to begin your round at. Just not a decent spot for the end of the round.

All seriousness aside, even though it's very close to the Cluster of Buildings Center, you get an ideal landing spot with a high probability of no other squads in the vicinity.

Again, the spot is very central, enabling you to travel quickly to the next circle before anyone else does.

What makes the Graveyard great?

  • Center of map, great advantage to go for an early airdrop.
  • Sufficient loot to get all you need.

5. El Pozo

El Pozo, the second largest city on Miramar, is located west of the map. It features many hangars, boxing stadiums, and other buildings to get fully equipped quickly. Most of the time you will encounter other players here, but the city is large enough to get you out of trouble until you are ready to engage in battle.

What makes El Pozo great?

  • Second largest city, you will most likely always find what you are looking for.
  • It’s perfectly suited for your squad, as it covers a lot of high loot buildings.

4. Los Leones

Welcome to Los Leones, the largest city on Miramar. Here you will find anything you need as well. However, it is a popular destination and you will most likely always meet other players scavenging for loot. It’s very important to keep an eye on the tallest structures in the city, which are skyscraper construction sites. These spots are perfectly suited for anyone who is keen on sniping from a high ground.

What makes Los Leones great:

  • It is the capital of Miramar, you find all you need.
  • It’s perfectly suited for a squad drop.

3. Power Grid

Now this is one of the three hot drop locations you find on Miramar. It's a well-liked landing spot, also within the esports scene. The location features two large warehouses and another two tall buildings, as well as loot in between the structures.

You will most likely meet other teams or players here, so be aware. However, it’s a medium-sized location, so if you are keen on fighting, the area is overseeable. This means that engaging in fights gives you more control of the situation, as there are no third parties in the vicinity.

What makes the Power Grid great?

  • It’s located in the center of the map, giving you more flexibility to move around.
  • It features high loot structures, which can have proper loot.
  • The area is well suited for early fights, as it is fairly good to oversee the entire compound.

2. Pecado

Pecado never gets boring. Somehow this place attracts many players each round, as it lies in the very center of Miramar. This is a guaranteed hot drop on the map. There are many hotels, a casino, and a boxing stadium to gather loot.

Again, this place is a player’s magnet, for whatever reason. It is also a central point considering the traffic route from the northern part of the map to the southern part and vice versa. The road crosses through Pecado, making it an adventure for anybody trying to drive past.

What makes Pecado great:

  • It’s the very center of the map, you don’t have to move too early.
  • There are always other players if you’re up for battle early on.
  • Pecado has some similarities with Pochinki, it’s kind of the equivalent.

1. Hacienda del Patron

Hacienda del Patron roughly translates to “Estate of the Boss”, and the clue is in the name. This is the number one hot drop on Miramar, right in the center, with a present for anyone who is the last player standing.

It’s another place where you will definitely meet other players, if you are ready to jump right into intense close-quarters combat. The loot will be worth it, and if you emerge victorious, you will find a golden present in the garage. Many players on the map will know where you got it from, and some players might not engage you because of that.

What makes the Hacienda great:

  • It’s the #1 hotdrop, everybody knows that. Thus, great loot.
  • You’ll get a present if you survive.
  • It’s in the center as well, giving you flexibility.

Honorable Mentions

Underground bunker

If you happen to be in the area where the blues circle reveals, look for an entrance that resembles a cave. This will get you into the underground bunker. Don’t expect extraordinary loot, but it’s worth a trip if you’re close by.

Conclusion

Miramar is one of the larger maps in PUBG. There is an abundance of possible loot locations. However, there are basically two approaches: engage in battle early or sort yourself out before you engage in battle. If you like to loot and to be in control of your potential battles, you want to check out the orange circle first. This offers more strategic opportunities for gameplay. If you hotdrop, there is only one game plan: fight. Good luck out there champ.
