[Top 10] Monster Hunter Rise Best Hammers That Are Powerful (And How To Get Them)

The heavy hammer

Monster Hunter Rise is no exception to the hammer’s consistent performance at the top, but with such a huge influx of recruits picking up their first Monster Hunter game, some might need a little guidance.

Finding the right gear can often be confusing, but for you hammer mains, here is a top ten list that will help alleviate all confusion!

10. Huracan Hammer

The Huracan Hammer is the first entry on this list, but despite its placement as last, this weapon isn’t one to scoff at.

This weapon boasts an attack stat of two hundred ten, that alone is an excellent feat.

There is also the fact that the Huracan Hammer is the best option you will have if you’re looking for fire damage.

Weapon Stats:

  • Attack: 210
  • Affinity: 5%
  • Element Damage: Fire 24
  • Sharpness: Low blue

9. Sinter Hammer

The Sinter Hammer’s specialty is dealing a splash of water damage, but that isn’t all it can do

Two hundred attack stat mixed with twenty percent affinity. Wow. The combination of those two alone is already the perfect start to a build.

Unfortunately, a low sharpness hampers this weapon significantly. But despite its one fault, this weapon is a great addition to your arsenal.

Weapon Stats:

  • Attack: 200
  • Affinity: 20%
  • Element Damage: Water 31
  • Sharpness: Low blue

8. Teostra Cratergouger

Blasting its way to eight on this list is the hammer’s premier blast elemental weapon, the Teostra Cratergouger!

Teostra’s hammer entry has excellent damage all across the board. It has 46 points of blast elemental damage and a 190 raw attack stat.

If that wasn’t enough, this weapon also has decent sharpness. Plus, a handy little 5% affinity.

  • Affinity: 5%
  • Element Damage: Blast 46
  • Sharpness: Mid blue

7. Daora's Colossus

This weapon has forty-two points in Ice elemental damage. You could say it puts the cold in cold blooded.

If high elemental damage isn’t enough to thaw your heart out, then maybe a sharpness color that’s white as snow will.

Still unconvinced? Fine, how about one hundred and ninety attack. PLUS ten percent bonus affinity.

One thing is for sure, this weapon is cool.

Weapon Stats:

  • Attack: 190
  • Affinity: 10%
  • Element Damage: Ice 42
  • Sharpness: Low white

6. Abyssal Gale Mauler

This weapon is almost perfect. ALMOST.

Before we talk of its flaws, let us first shower the Abyssal Gale Mauler with praise.

210 attack stat, 21 points of dragon elemental damage, and high blue sharpness. All great stats, even excellent in the attack department, in truth.

Plus, the sharpness is high enough to reach white with a single point of handicraft. So what’s wrong then?

What’s wrong is this weapon can only be unlocked at HR 50, by then every other hammer choice will be available to you. And if you didn’t notice, there are still five hammers on this list.

Weapon Stats:

  • Attack: 210
  • Affinity: 0%
  • Element Damage: Dragon 17
  • Sharpness: High blue

What makes the Abyssal Gale Mauler so great:

  • High blue sharpness.
  • Excellent attack stat.
  • Dragon elemental damage.

  • Materials for the Abyssal Gale Mauler are obtained from hunting down both the Narwa and Ibushi, unlocked at HR 50.

5. Rampage Hammer S

Now I know what you’re thinking, why is a hammer with such low sharpness so low on this list?

To that I say, why do hammers need to be sharpened anyways?

In truth, the Rampage Hammer S is like a transformer, there is more than meets the eye.

First, and foremost, the name ‘Rampage’ means this baby is a rampage weapon, rampage weapons can choose whatever rampage skills are available. That alone makes up for the low sharpness.

Pair flexibility with an impressive attack stat of 210 and you’ve got yourself a banger.

Weapon Stats:

  • Attack: 210
  • Affinity: 0%
  • Element Damage: Any
  • Sharpness: Low blue

  • Excellent attack stat.

4. Night Eternal

Forty-five percent affinity and white sharpness? What’s not to love?

Fine, the attack stat isn’t the best, but that’s hardly an issue when you can easily double your damage by boosting affinity to a full 100%

  • Attack: 180
  • Affinity: 45%
  • Element Damage: None
  • Sharpness: Low white

3. Reddnaught Hammer

As with all Valstrax variant weapons, this baby has got the best sharpness in the biz.

While the Reddnaught Hammer only has 180 attack, it does have an incredible 43 points of dragon elemental damage.

Also, did we mention MAX sharpness? How that works with a hammer is anyone’s guess.

2.Tigrex Hammer

THAT’S A LOT OF DAMAGE! The highest, in fact, amongst all hammers.

To top the damage off with sprinkles, this baby also has white sharpness.

This weapon does have some caveats to it, however.

-20% in affinity may look terrible, but it is a small price to pay for the smackdowns this weapon can lay.

Weapon Stats:

  • Attack: 220
  • Affinity: -20%
  • Element Damage: None
  • Sharpness: Low white

1. Diamalto’s Dream

Two hundred damage, poison elemental damage, and white sharpness. Well, I think we found a winner.

Number one on this list is Diamalto's Dream! Boy does it deserve the spot.

Not much is needed to be said about this absolute unit of a weapon.

Weapon Stats:

  • Attack: 200
  • Affinity: 0%
  • Element Damage: Poison 32
  • Sharpness: Low white

What makes the Diamalto’s Dream so great:

  • High sharpness.
  • Excellent attack stat.
