[Top 10] MK1 Best Sindel Skins (Ranked)

Looks like a cinnamon roll, but could actually kill you

I’m so happy that the kind, loving Sindel I grew up with is back in Mortal Kombat 1, and not that…other woman (looking at you, MK11 Sindel!). As empress of Outworld, it is Sindel’s responsibility to do what is best for her people and try to keep peace within her realm.

But another of her important duties as queen is to look the part, of course. And so, Empress Sindel has been given wonderful skins in Mortal Kombat 1 and they’re definitely worth a look!

#1: Beloved by Jerrod

Jerrod, you lucky son of a gun

Beloved by Jerrod in action:

Start at 2:14

Ever since I saw Ermac’s ending in Mortal Kombat 9, I had hoped to see Jerrod in future Mortal Kombat games and I was so happy when he finally appeared in Mortal Kombat 1! So, let’s celebrate the king’s return with Beloved by Jerrod, a common New Era skin with a palette of purple, white, gold, and black. To unlock Beloved by Jerrod, you have to level up your Character Mastery.

Before his death, King Jerrod ruled Outworld alongside his wife, Sindel. Unbeknownst to everyone, however, Jerrod’s soul was hidden in the mass of souls that created Ermac, and he was only able to gain control of the amalgamation near the end of MK1’s story. And the moment Jerrod and Sindel were reunited, their love for each other was so apparent.

#2: Her Majesty

Her majesty can’t believe you just farted

Her Majesty in action:

Start at 2:19

As the matriarch of the royal family, Empress Sindel demands that we show her the utmost respect. Her Majesty is another common New Era skin, but this skin has a more monochromatic palette with different shades of brown. There are no specific requirements needed to obtain Her Majesty as you can get it from the Shrine or purchase it from the store.

Despite her royal status, Sindel is actually a pretty down-to-Earth person, and the earthly colors used in Her Majesty may be a physical representation of that. People need to keep in mind that Sindel is not only a queen, but a mother and a wife. Her struggling to keep her family safe and grieving over her husband’s death are a few things many of us can relate to, and I have always loved that about Sindel’s character.

#3: Roaring Flames

Sindel is always on fire, baby!

Roaring Flames in action:

Start at 2:33

But even though it’s nice to see Sindel’s sensitive side, I’m sure what really draws us Mortal Kombat players to the queen is her more fiery and aggressive side that appears when she’s in battle. Therefore, let me show you Roaring Flames, a common New Era skin with a palette that includes red and yellow. There are no specific requirements needed to obtain Roaring Flames as you can get it from the Shrine or purchase it from the store.

When it comes to fire, I would say characters like Scorpion and Liu Kang are experts in the subject. But when it comes to someone’s inner fire, that vital energy that is inside all of us, Sindel’s fire is something that should be feared. Word of advice: Don’t get on her bad side!

#4: Regal Bleeder

You mess with Outworld, you’d be lucky if Sindel just locks you up

Regal Bleeder in action:

Start at 2:52

Sorry to all you Sindel fans, but the moment I saw the title, the first thing I thought about was Sindel’s death in Mortal Kombat 1’s story mode (but at least she’s with Jerrod now!). This skin called Regal Bleeder, which also happens to be a common skin too, has a palette containing red, white, and silver. There are no specific requirements needed to obtain Regal Bleeder as you can get it from the Shrine or purchase it from the store.

The word “regal” means resembling or fitting for a monarch because of its beauty and grandeur. Regal Bleeder is indeed a skin worthy of a queen like Sindel! And even though I prefer a red and black color scheme, I do like red and white together as well, especially for this skin.

#5: Royal Highness

Her royal highness demands a cookie

Royal Highness in action:

Start at 4:13

Wow, these skins really won’t let you forget that Sindel is Outworld’s queen! Here we have another skin with a title referring to Sindel’s status, Royal Highness, and its palette contains colors like red and blue. To unlock Royal Highness, you have to level up your Character Mastery.

What I really love about this skin is how bold the red in Royal Highness looks against the blue and white. Red is my favorite color, and seeing how dark it is compared to the other colors in the skin, it was the first thing I noticed when I saw Royal Highness. It’s a unique combination of colors really!

#6: High Priestess of the True Faith

I have faith that Sindel will murder you in your sleep with a smile on her face

High Priestess of the True Faith in action:

Start at 4:22

High Priestess of the True Faith, which is a title in and a half, is a common skin from the Union of Light category. This skin has a palette that includes colors such as red and purple. To unlock High Priestess of the True Faith, you have to level up your Character Mastery.

In all her years as empress of Outworld, Sindel has made sure to do everything in her power to prevent her people from becoming involved in war. Her alliance with Liu Kang and the Moral Kombat tournaments have kept peace in Outworld for so long. I think that’s why Sindel continued to trust Liu Kang even after he revealed how he rewrote history, and that was a good choice on her part!

#7: Scars and Burns

I think Sindel’s massacre in MK9 has scarred me for life

Scars and Burns in action:

Start at 4:35

How is this skin only a common skin, and not an epic one!? Anyways, Scars and Burns is a Union of Light skin for Sindel and it has a palette with red, black, and orange. There are no specific requirements needed to obtain Scars and Burns as you can get it from the Shrine or purchase it from the store.

Depending on the severity of the burn, it can leave behind a scar. But in Sindel’s case, I think the title Scars and Burns is referring to Sindel’s mentality with the trauma she has witnessed.  Jerrod’s death is only one example of such trauma, and I wonder how she is able to cope with these matters.

#8: Empress of Blood

And I thought Sindel was scary enough

Empress of Blood in action:

Start at 4:40

Sindel, I think blood is supposed to stay in your bod—Oh, that’s just your clothes, thank the Gods! This skin with its palette of red and black is called Empress of Blood, a common Union of Light skin. There are no specific requirements needed to obtain Empress of Blood as you can get it from the Shrine or purchase it from the store.

I fell in love with this skin because of the beautiful shade of red used here, like a wine color. Although, I’m sure the red is supposed to more closely resemble blood. I don’t think you’d want to drink that (unless you’re Nitara by any chance).

#9: Konqueror at Heart

Oh no, don’t go back to your MK11 days, Sindel

Konqueror at Heart in action:

Start at 6:05

Going into Sindel’s Order of Darkness skins, what better way to start off than with Konqueror at Heart? Konqueror at Heart is a rare skin, which has a palette containing blue and green. There are no specific requirements needed to obtain Konqueror at Heart as you can get it from the Shrine or purchase it from the store.

This skin serves as a reminder of Sindel’s dark past in the previous timeline, showing that no matter how much she’s changed, there’s that small bit of darkness still lurking within her. The same can be said for many of the characters in Mortal Kombat 1, including Sindel’s own daughters. Personally, I’d rather not think about those days…

#10: Stiletto

(Sobbing) Poor Jax…the stiletto heel to the neck…

Stiletto in action:

Start at 6:14

Now let’s end the list with an Order of Darkness skin named after a shoe that has no business existing, Stiletto! The Stiletto skin’s palette contains colors like purple and white. There are no specific requirements needed to obtain Stiletto as you can get it from the Shrine or purchase it from the store.

This skin really does remind me of Sindel’s look in Mortal Kombat 11, and I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. But either way, you have to admit that Stiletto does look pretty cool! It has Sindel’s signature violet color along with white and silver to give the skin an intimidating, yet graceful look.

But no matter what she’s wearing, I guarantee Sindel will make it look good! You really can’t go wrong with any of her Mortal Kombat 1 skins. So, do as your empress demands, and get these skins immediately. Well…okay, she didn’t exactly say anything like that, but I know that’s what Sindel would want!
