How do you make one of the coolest weapons even cooler?

Crossbows may be one of Minecraft's most useful long-range weapons, not only can you load them with different kinds of arrows. But also, fireworks can turn your crossbow into some sort of RPG. The only thing that could make the crossbow any stronger would be the ability to add enchantments, and believe it or not, you can enchant your crossbow and turn it into a weapon of mass destruction, perfect for any situation. 

So, with all that said we decided to make a list of the top 10 best enchantments to get the best out of your crossbow. 

 

5. Mending:

With this enchantment, every time you kill an opponent some of the experience orbs that they drop will be added into repairing the crossbow, making it much easier to fix than that of a normal one.

4. Unbreaking:

With this enchantment as the name suggests; your crossbows lifespan will grow longer depending on the enchantment level, making your crossbow more useful and longer-lasting for any situation, but the reason these types of enchantments are so high on the list is that normally, players don't tend to fix their bows, since their so easy to get and they'll probably have a full chest dedicated to crossbows.

3. Quick charge:

Imagine you are in the middle of a raid and you see the vindicators running towards you and all you can do to stop them is your crossbow, but reloading is so slow and time consuming that once you shoot the first arrow, they're already onto you… Well here is where quick charge comes in handy. With this enchantment, your crossbow's reloading speed will grow faster depending on the level of the enchantment, for example with quick charge III your crossbow will reload faster than the speed of a normal bow, now that is what we call efficiency! Oh, wait… that's the name of another enchantment, never mind.

2. Piercing:

Piercing is an enchantment to get the best out of your arrows since in any normal situation shooting an enemy would result in the loss of that arrow, but with this enchantment, the arrow will hit the mob and fly through it either hitting another enemy or giving you the chance to get your arrow back, the amount of enemies it can go through depends on the enchantment's level.

  •  Can hit more mobs with one arrow
  •  Will save you many arrows

1. Multishot:

With Multishot you will turn your crossbow into some sort of medieval shotgun, since this enchantment will give you the ability to fire three arrows at the same time, of course, if you want to turn it into a weapon of mass destruction all you have to do is add some fireworks to the mix and you'll be dealing with some sort of RPG shotgun from hell; of course, all of this epicness comes with its downfalls, since your bows durability will decrease by 3 every shot if you use arrows and by 9 if you use fireworks, but on the bright side even though you are shooting 3 projectiles it will only count as one in your inventory; although you will only be able to recover one.

  •  Can shoot up to three arrows at once

  •  Levels: I

 

One important thing to know about crossbow enchantments is that you can mix up to three different types into one crossbow to enhance the power and durability of your bow; the only enchantments that can't be mixed are Piercing and Multishot, But with that said, we already gave you the top five best enchantments, now it's your turn to find the perfect combination to make the most powerful killing machine in Minecraft.
